The Great Battle
The Highborne discovered the strange behavior of the Forest Troll, and they deduced that the Forest Troll ' purpose was to stall them and prevent them from leaving.
"What do you want to do?" Snyder asked.
The corrupted Dath'Remar thought for a moment, then glanced at the Highborne army in the center and suppressed the thoughts that had been nagging at him.
"I think we should ignore those Troll for now."
"We need to hurry and move out as quickly as possible," Dath'Remar said.
"Hmm," Snyder nodded.
Dath'Remar then gave orders, commanding the troops to ignore the Forest Troll, with some soldiers specifically protecting the civilians while the rest focused on defending against the Forest Troll attacks.
Thus the Highborne began their relocation, while the Forest Troll on the other side also planned to launch an attack due to the Highborne's departure.
"It seems our actions only caused them a little trouble and delayed them a bit," Bandersson said.
"But that's enough, the reinforcements led by the three chieftains have arrived," said the Dragonhawk Loa priest slowly.
The Dragonhawk priest, possessing the Loa, had already sensed the arrival of the Forest Troll army.
"Now send the harassing troops to attack again, then we'll let them leave."
"Their vanguard has stopped ahead; once they regroup, we'll wipe them out in one fell swoop," said the Dragonhawk Loa priest.
"Okay, I'll arrange the manpower right away," Bandersson said.
"No need," said the Dragonhawk Loa priest.
"Oh? You have someone else in mind?" Bandersson asked.
"I will take action myself," said the Dragonhawk Loa priest.
"Isn't this a harassment mission?" Bandersson was curious about why the Dragonhawk Loa Priest wanted to take on this mission.
"That's right, it's a harassment mission, but if I'm carrying it out, it's no longer a simple harassment mission."
"Lord Jan'alai's divine power will leave them with a profound memory," said the Dragonhawk Loa priest.
"Since you want to take action, then go ahead." Bandersson didn't stop him.
"Alright, the other three chieftains have arrived, go and greet them," said the Dragonhawk Loa priest.
Upon hearing the words of the Dragonhawk Loa priest Bandersson walked to the back of the group.
The Dragonhawk Loa then left the group and headed towards the Highborne army.
The Dragonhawk Loa Priest also began to stretch his limbs, preparing to give the Highborne a surprise.
The Dragonhawk Loa priest had already spotted the Highborne camp not far away.
He then started running, heading straight for the Highborne camp.
The noise caused by the Dragonhawk Loa priest attracted the attention of the Highborne.
"What kind of monster is that!" a Highborne exclaimed in horror.
"That looks like a Troll, but why does he resemble the beasts we killed before?" another Highborne soldier remarked.
However, the Highborne reacted promptly, preparing to deal with the monster's attack.
As the Dragonhawk Loa priest ran this way, he began to charge the flames in his mouth.
The flames in his mouth continued to grow larger, and when he was almost in front of the Highborne army, he released the flames directly.
A powerful beam of fire struck the Highborne army.
The Highborne soldiers had already launched their attack before the Dragonhawk Loa priests even unleashed their flames.
The Highborne mages immediately began casting spells, preparing to use magic to stop the enraged beast.
Despite being struck by numerous magical energies, the Dragonhawk Loa Priest did not retreat.
He withstood the magical energy head-on, and then unleashed flames.
The beam of fire instantly melted the several Highborne soldiers in front of him.
The Highborne soldiers were killed before they could even scream.
"Hahaha, this is what happens when you kill Lord Jan'alai's offspring!" said the Dragonhawk Loa, seeing that his attack had succeeded.
"Damn it, quickly go and report to Lord Dath'Remar and ask for their help!"
"The mages continue attacking them, and the Warrior, join me in holding him back and preventing him from getting inside!" the army commander ordered.
"Nothing you do can defeat me!" said the Dragonhawk Loa priest.
"How will you know if you don't try?" the army commander said, and then led his Warrior to charge forward.
The rear guard had already merged with the center guard, so the noise from the Dragonhawk Loa priests' attack also attracted the attention of Dath'Remar and Snyder in the center guard.
"What happened?" Dath'Remar asked.
"Lord Dath'Remar! The Forest Troll have launched an attack on us," reported a soldier sent by the rear army captain.
"This time, those Forest Troll sent out a hybrid that resembled a combination of Forest Troll and one of the beasts we killed."
"A Forest Troll with eagle-like features," the soldier who was sent there said.
"I have to go check it out; I'm not sure if my soldiers can handle this beast," Dath'Remar said, rising to head to the front lines.
"You sit down first, I'll go and deal with that beast." Snyder stopped Dath'Remar from getting up.
"I'll test this beast's strength," Snyder said.
"Are you sure?" Dath'Remar asked.
"Of course, we need to stretch our muscles after going out for a while," Snyder said, before leading a portion of the Hand of the Bright Moon to support the rear guard.
"Damn it, even so, he hasn't let his guard down for a second." Dath'Remar cursed inwardly as he looked at the still-present Hand of the Bright Moon forces around him.
The Highborne soldiers, carrying the reinforcements they had found, headed to the rear.
"Damn, how can he be so strong?" the army captain exclaimed.
They were only able to temporarily fall into a disadvantageous position by relying on their numerical advantage and the help of mages.
The Dragonhawk Loa priest was also dissatisfied with his progress.
He was furious that the Highborne had blocked his way for so long.
He pulled the Highborne beside him directly to his side and unleashed numerous fire bombs and a large-scale fire circle.
This ring of fire directly blocked the Highborne's escape route, and the large number of fire bombs compressed the living space of many Highborne.
"Now let's see how you hide." The Dragonhawk Loa priest said, swinging his claws and piercing through the nearest Highborne soldier.
The Highborne was seriously injured by this sudden attack; blood was already flowing from his mouth, and his face was contorted with pain.
Just as the other high-ranking soldiers were about to attack the monster to rescue their comrades...
The fire bombs were detonated, and the burst of flames severely injured the Highborne soldiers. Some Highborne soldiers, trying to avoid the flames from the explosions, accidentally touched the rings of fire and were instantly burned to death, demonstrating just how high the temperature of the fire rings was.
"Whoosh." A sound of water came from the outer edge of the ring of fire.
