I Need Some Quiet

Last night I sat in front of the computer for three hours, unable to think of anything to write. Suddenly, I felt like I had nothing left to write. But ending it like this doesn't feel right; I haven't found the right approach. If I just write a chapter or two to explain things and then it's over, everyone will definitely criticize me. So I feel I need some quiet time to figure out how to end this story.
