Arc 1The Red-Haired Omen

Gu Baishui fled the Great Emperor's Forbidden Zone with Luo Ziwei, while the Red-Haired Monster and his senior brothers’ strange actions left him uncertain who wanted him dead. On the journey to Luoyang, Luo Ziwei recounted Li Shiyi and Li Xu’s history, and Gu Baishui arrived as ominous warnings surrounded the city.

  • Gu Baishui saw a Red-Haired Monster in his bronze mirror, but Ji Xu found him unconscious before it could take him.
  • Gu Baishui searched an ancient record about red-haired monsters, then escaped a cave when a purple cauldron destroyed it and its monstrous occupant, and a cauldron-wielding figure struck him into the Luo River.
  • After recovering, Gu Baishui met Luo Ziwei, who was traveling to Luoyang to find her family, and the two encountered Wu Tian and an Emperor-Aura corpse at an abandoned temple.
  • Luo Ziwei told Gu Baishui about Li Shiyi and Li Xu, describing their family, Li Xu’s inventions and cultivation, and Li Shiyi’s rise in Chang’an before revealing that he had killed his sister.
  • An old merchant identified the famous general as Li Shiyi, while Luo Ziwei said Li Xu had died after secretly visiting her sick brother and that she missed her.
  • At Luoyang’s gates, an old beggar warned Gu Baishui not to enter, and Gu Baishui later slipped into the city and heard a storyteller praise Li Shiyi’s kindness and explain his connection to the Ye Clan.
  • The storyteller said Li Shiyi had left Luoyang while ill, that no one knew where he went, and warned Gu Baishui not to visit the abandoned Ye residence because outsiders had arrived and Willow Catkins heralded trouble.

Arc 2The Old Ye Residence

Gu Baishui entered the Old Ye Residence with Lu Ziyou and uncovered the truth about Li Shiyi, the Ye Clan, and the Red-Haired Monsters. After the Saints surrounded Luoyang City, Gu Baishui found nearly a hundred Red-Haired Monsters among them, while a madman vanished into the river clutching a piece of the Bronze Mirror.

  • Gu Baishui used the Bronze Mirror to spy across Luoyang and learned that Saints had gathered in the city, while Ji Changsheng suspected Li Shiyi had been the Decaying Great Emperor.
  • Gu Baishui witnessed Lu Ziyou search the abandoned Ye Clan residence with Mingque, then saw the Little Beggar arrive with an ancient Red-Haired Monster and his Divine Sense collapse.
  • After Ghost Festival processions carried Gu Baishui to the Ye residence, he met Lu Ziyou and an old beggar, and Ji Changsheng arranged for the two young men to enter the manor together.
  • Inside the residence, Gu Baishui and Lu Ziyou faced tests designed to identify Transmigrators, then played Dou Dizhu against the Red-Robed Judge with their lifespans at stake.
  • The Red-Robed Judge revealed that his group had killed Li Shiyi, who had become a Transmigrator after meeting a robot in a wall, and that Li Xu later died at Li Shiyi's hands after another soul took over him.
  • After the Judge killed Lu Ziyou, Luo Ziwei told Gu Baishui she was going to die and left him a letter recounting how she and Li Shiyi had met as hungry children at an abandoned temple.
  • The Red-Haired Monster took the Bronze Dagger and offered Gu Baishui a deal, while Gu Baishui and Lu Ziyou concealed the letter and presented Lu Ziyou as the holder of Li Shiyi's inheritance to the Saints.
  • Gu Baishui's Bronze Mirror revealed nearly a hundred Red-Haired Monsters behind the Saints, while a madman clutching a broken piece of the mirror disappeared into the Qingliang River.
