"It's not a conclusion, just observations and conjectures based on appearances."
Kerlodd said, "When I received the mission, the planet's government described the phenomenon as a preliminary observation from the perspective of a low-level civilization. You called it the ' Inhuman Phenomenon.' They described how these Inhuman appeared abruptly without warning, and their numbers were increasing. They couldn't explain their origins, simply integrating into the planet's environment. They behaved strangely, had special connections with each other, and were immortal, possessing extraordinary learning and growth potential..."
He spoke at length about the views of the Six Nations and the Tu Shu on the players, as well as his observations over this period. Han Xiao wanted to know what new perspectives species with higher levels of civilization might have on this.
"The most distinctive feature is that they cannot die, can be resurrected, and their personality remains unchanged." Kerlodd then revealed his investigator's aura, speaking eloquently, "There are many phenomena that can cause this effect. The simplest is the power of collective awakening, which is rare, but there are examples."
Slightly more complex possibilities include life projection technology, which could be an experiment by an advanced civilization. Or it could be a rift created by the overlap of planes, with these Inhuman actually being special creatures that accidentally descended from other planes. Or it could be some kind of unintentional high-dimensional projection, a warp migration from a distant civilization, a time reversal projection, or a new species inexplicably generated under some kind of rule. I know of more than a dozen theories that could cause this phenomenon.
The most unsolvable is Cosmic Wonder; I personally think this phenomenon is the least likely.
Kerlodd explained, "The Inhuman have another major characteristic—their sudden appearance and increasing numbers are more likely to be man-made. We need to use special tools to trace their origins and investigate whether there are any signs of other civilizations interfering. But this requires applying to higher authorities for rare detection tools. If the civilization behind them is too advanced, even we in Goddora won't be able to find anything... But to be honest, I don't think there's anything on this planet that would be of interest to an advanced civilization using life projection technology."
"If we exclude human factors and consider natural factors instead, the probability of dimensional overlap is not small. The orbit of this planet may have intersected with a super-large dimensional rift, which is why the Inhuman suddenly appear and seem to appear in an endless stream. This phenomenon will only disappear when the planet leaves the rift. The rift passage is bidirectional. Has this planet suddenly disappeared?"
Han Xiao was suddenly taken aback. Hadn't Hannes and the others suddenly disappeared? Could there really be a rift?
No, players definitely don't have much to do with rifts, but the concept of planes is somewhat plausible.
If the player exists in a different plane, it's not impossible for them to interact with that world through gameplay.
Han Xiao let his imagination run wild for a while, then asked, "What's the difference between different planes? Do they lead to another universe?"
Kerlodd chuckled. "I know of many theories about planes, but let's just talk about three basic ones. The first is secondary planes, commonly found in highly advanced magical civilizations. Powerful mages can summon creatures from other planes. These are mostly secondary planes, born from fantasy and spiritual power. A more plausible explanation is that mages collapse infinite possibilities of fantasy into definite entities, that is, materialize imagination. Secondary planes both objectively exist and do not exist materially. This seems contradictory, but it actually involves differences in senses. Senses limit the cognition of different creatures and superhumans... Uh, I'm not a mage, and my understanding isn't very deep."
"The second type is actual planes such as dimensional planes and microscopic planes. This is more common and the most widely accepted scientific explanation."
"The last type of plane is where two distant planets in the same universe establish some kind of connection, creating a wormhole. Because they had no prior interaction, they each believe the other comes from a different universe, but that's a misunderstanding. What you're referring to as a passage to another universe is the multiverse theory, which posits the existence of countless universes. So you're a supporter of this theory, but we in Goddora don't do much research in this area, so I don't understand it either."
Han Xiao seemed to be deep in thought. Hearing their analysis of the world from the perspective of "NPCs" was a completely new way of looking at it.
Kerlodd continued, "And high-dimensional projection involves the theory of spacetime dimensions. For example, when we in three dimensions look at a two-dimensional plane, it's like looking at a piece of paper. This paper depicts a complete environment, including a two-dimensional character and a mountain range. The world as seen from a two-dimensional perspective is also three-dimensional. We need to climb over this mountain to reach our destination, and we can reach any point on the paper by extending our finger, overcoming the two-dimensional 'barrier.' The projection of three dimensions onto two dimensions is the tiny area where our finger touches the paper. This is the image we see in the eyes of the two-dimensional character."
The surface of contact can change, so the projected impression is not fixed. The senses of higher and lower dimensions differ. For example, setting aside the debate about whether time is an independent or dependent variable, and assuming time is a real, existing fourth dimension, then in the senses of a higher-dimensional being, we might appear as a superposition of countless points in time, like a very long worm—that's the idea. The Inhuman " might be some higher-dimensional entity that is the surface of contact with our dimension. Regarding dimensions, you'd better seek help from a more specialized civilization; we, the Goddora, are relatively weak in this area.
Han Xiao pursed his lips. The technology in the world where the players were located was not as advanced as this universe, and it did not look like a high-dimensional projection.
"Let's leave aside the theory of emerging species, I don't understand it. The most unsolvable thing is probably Cosmic Wonder Cosmic Wonder, which are phenomena that no civilization can explain."
"So it's unknown?" Han Xiao exclaimed in surprise, "Even the three major cosmic-level civilizations can't explain it?"
"Haha, even the universe has unexplored areas, so of course there are unknown things. Hmm... perhaps those advanced civilizations have explanations, but they're keeping them to themselves. I'll just tell you what I know about the universe."
Kerlodd turned on his talkative side, becoming quite enthusiastic.
"I've read an introduction to cosmology. There are countless theories about the universe, all stemming from the innate curiosity of intelligent species. They originate from questions like 'Who am I?' 'Where did I come from?' and 'Where am I going?' That is, curiosity about the origins of life, the truth of the world we live in, and the meaning of our existence. This curiosity drives intelligent species to explore the form, essence, origin, truth, development process, and end of this universe. Different civilizations have derived different theories about the universe."
Tracing back to the essence, it is an exploration of matter. The foundation of matter is particles, and numerous Research Theory of particles. In summary, different cosmological theories believe that particles have different shapes and functions. At the microscopic level, is a particle just a point? Or a sphere like a planet? Does it have many shapes? Or is its shape uncertain? The most common view is that once the correct essence of particles is determined, all erroneous theories will be overturned, leaving only the one correct system.
Indeed, some theories have successfully proven themselves and have been supported by irrefutable experimental data. However, it's not just one theory, but hundreds of cosmological theories that have been verified! Among them are even many seemingly contradictory theories! Isn't that incredible?
All civilizations have only a partial understanding of the world, separated from the truth by a very long wall. So many theories are like small holes chiseled in that wall. By observing through these small holes, we can only ever see a part of it. We cannot get past this wall. These Research Theory are our perspectives on the world. Different perspectives lead to different results, and these results are only the tip of the iceberg of the truth.
This is similar to what I just mentioned about the limitations of sensory perception. The specific image of the world in the eyes of living beings depends to a large extent on the sensory capabilities of that species. Countless mysteries are hidden in places that our senses cannot reach. Senses both facilitate a species' initial understanding of the world and hinder its complete understanding of the world.
Remember what we were talking about earlier about higher-dimensional projection? Perhaps our universe is the interface between higher and lower dimensions, and this universe itself may be a projection.
One theory even suggests that the world is virtual, that natural laws are a constructed physical engine, and that we are an experimental field created by a greater species to carry out the evolution of the universe, following some extremely complex algorithm.
Han Xiao's heart skipped a beat.
