Brother Hu slammed his phone down, but the anger in his heart didn't subside; instead, it burned even brighter. The humiliation of being coldly rebuked over the phone and then contemptuously hung up on felt like a venomous snake gnawing at his nerves.

In this lawless area, Wang Hu was a figure of some importance, someone who commanded respect and was feared by some. When had he ever suffered such humiliation? Especially since the other party was a "newbie" hiding thousands of miles away, only able to utter threats over the phone!

Money? To hell with money! Face is more important than money now! He must make that arrogant little bastard and that old geezer on the other end of the phone pay a heavy, bloody price immediately! Let them know what happens when they provoke Wang Hu!

"What are you all standing there for? Let's go!" he roared at his henchmen, including the blond-haired and bald men, his face contorted with rage. "Come back to the kennel with me! If we don't break that bastard's arms and legs today, I'll change my name!"

His mind was filled with images of bloody revenge, and he even started thinking about how to "package" the severed fingers to maximize the provocation and intimidation of the other man's family. As for the consequences? He didn't even consider them. Here, as long as he didn't provoke those real behemoths or the local armed forces, what consequences could there be in disciplining a disobedient "pig" and teaching his clueless family a lesson?

The group, reeking of alcohol and filled with hostility, left the smoky card room, cursing and swearing. They drove a dilapidated pickup truck toward the remote kennel where the "piglets" were held. The night wind couldn't dispel the heat and malice emanating from them.

The kennel was located in a corner of an abandoned breeding farm, consisting of a simple tin shed and rusty iron cages. The air was filled year-round with a stench of animal excrement, rotting food, and despair. Sun Penghui was locked in a slightly larger cage, which could have originally held a large dog. He was on the verge of a mental breakdown, huddled in the corner, covered in filth, with a vacant and numb look in his eyes.

Wang Hu jumped out of the car, walked straight to the cage, and kicked the iron bars with a loud bang. The loud noise startled Sun Penghui inside, who looked up in fear.

"Drag him out!" Wang Hu ordered with a savage grin.

The blond-haired and bald men stepped forward, deftly opened the cage door, and dragged the limp Sun Penghui out like a dead dog, roughly pressing him onto the cold, muddy ground. Sun Penghui was terrified, unable to even beg for mercy, only able to let out broken whimpers.

Wang Hu pulled an oil-stained machete from his waistband, weighed it in his hand, and the blade gleamed coldly in the dim light. He walked up to Sun Penghui, patted the man's pale, tear-streaked face with the back of the knife, and relished the man's extreme fear.

"You little bastard, blame that reckless wretch in your family!" Wang Hu spat, his eyes cruel. "Let's collect some interest today!"

He gestured to the blond-haired man and the bald man to hold down Sun Penghui's struggling right hand tightly, pressing him firmly against a rough wooden block. Sun Penghui let out a pig-like howl and struggled desperately, but he was pinned down and unable to move.

Wang Hu raised his machete, aimed it at the trembling finger, a savage grin spreading across his face, and was about to chop it off!

At this critical moment—

"Boom!!!"

A deafening roar suddenly came from the direction of the dilapidated iron gate of the farm! It wasn't an explosion, but a terrifying sound of heavy metal being struck, twisted, and torn by tremendous force!

Immediately afterwards, two blinding white headlights, like the pupils of a giant beast, violently tore through the night and blatantly shone in, illuminating the dirty open space in front of the dog kennel as bright as day. The light blinded Wang Hu and the others for a moment, causing them to instinctively raise their hands to shield their eyes.

Before they could react, a modified black SUV with an unusually thick and heavy front bumper, like a raging steel behemoth, smashed through the deformed and collapsed iron gate wreckage. The engine roared and it rushed into the area. With a sudden stop, it came to a steady stop less than ten meters away from Wang Hu and the others, kicking up a cloud of dust.

That's not all!

Behind the SUV, two more inconspicuous but sturdy gray vans slid in, forming a loose triangular formation that subtly surrounded Wang Hu and his gang, along with Sun Penghui on the ground.

The car doors opened almost simultaneously!

In a flash, a dozen or so figures nimbly jumped out of the vehicle. These men were all dressed in dark combat uniforms or easy-to-move jackets, their movements agile and swift, demonstrating their high level of training; they instantly took up advantageous positions. What made Wang Hu and the others' hearts stop even more was—they were all carrying guns!

The group of burly men at the head of the group carried heavy, dark pistols, their muzzles hanging limply, yet their menacing aura was palpable. The last two men to emerge from the van carried a shotgun with its barrel sawed off and an automatic rifle with a long magazine slung over their shoulders! The cold metal of the guns gleamed eerily in the headlights.

This isn't just some ordinary thug fight, this is a fucking armed assault!

Wang Hu's machete clattered to the ground. The sneer and cruelty on his face froze instantly, replaced by utter horror and bewilderment. The blond-haired and bald men were also terrified, releasing Sun Penghui and retracting their hands as if electrocuted, their faces deathly pale and their legs trembling. Sun Penghui, who had narrowly escaped having his hand chopped off, forgot to cry out, staring blankly at the sudden, cinematic scene unfolding before him.

Wang Hu recognized the man who got out of the passenger seat of the SUV. He had a buzz cut, a cold face, and eyes as sharp as knives. He was the head of security for the much larger and more powerful "New World Park" next door, known as "Brother Qiang." It was said that this man was a real combat veteran, ruthless and vicious, with real weapons and a force capable of killing—far superior to their small-time gang that only bullied "piglets."

"Qiang... Brother Qiang?" Wang Hu forced a smile that looked more like a grimace, his heart pounding, a sense of foreboding washing over him. He simply couldn't understand why this jinx would suddenly barge into his kennel in the dead of night in this way.

He instinctively wanted to step forward and strike up a conversation, trying to figure out what was going on—perhaps it was just a misunderstanding? He rushed forward, his back hunched, his face a complex mix of fawning and fear. "Brother Qiang! What brings you here? Is there... is there some misunderstanding? I..."

He hadn't finished speaking.

The cold-faced man known as "Brother Qiang" didn't even lift his eyelids, seemingly too lazy to listen to his nonsense. Just as Wang Hu approached to within two meters, Brother Qiang's right hand, holding a pistol, swiftly and almost imperceptibly flicked upwards!

It wasn't the muzzle of the gun, but the hard, heavy bottom of the handle that struck Wang Hu squarely, precisely, and ruthlessly on the back of the neck!

A muffled thud resounded, enough to make your teeth ache.

"Ugh!" Wang Hu only had time to let out a short cry of pain before everything went black, the world spun around him, and all his thoughts and words were shattered by the heavy blow. His burly body felt as if all the bones had been removed, and he fell straight forward, crashing heavily onto the cold mud with a "thud," splashing up a cloud of mud and water. He immediately lost consciousness.

Decisive, efficient, and without any unnecessary delays.

Brother Qiang then acted as if he had done something insignificant, flicking his wrist and giving a cold look to the remaining group of people, including the blond-haired guy and the bald man, who were frozen in fear like puppets, as well as the bewildered Sun Penghui on the ground.

He raised the gun in his hand, pointing the muzzle at the dark night sky.

"Bang--!"

A sharp, deafening gunshot shattered the silence of the night, startling a flock of birds into flight from the distant woods.

"Take them all." Brother Qiang's voice wasn't loud, but it carried a metallic quality, standing out clearly and coldly amidst the echoing gunshots, leaving no room for doubt.

He paused, then added, his gaze sweeping over the trembling thugs:

"Any resistance will be met with death."

These few words, however, contain a naked and undeniable threat of death.

A deathly silence fell over the arena. The blond-haired man, the bald man, and the others were ashen-faced, exchanging glances filled with boundless fear and despair. Faced with the enemy's clearly superior firepower, numbers, and the chilling professional aura emanating from them, their usual bravado had long since vanished.

Resist? Look at Brother Hu lying unconscious on the ground like a dead dog, then look at those dark gun barrels that could spit fire at any moment... Who would dare to move?

The men trembled, and at the signal of the gun barrels, they obediently and staggered toward the van, as docile as lambs to the slaughter.

Brother Qiang's gaze finally landed on Sun Penghui, who was shivering in the mud and still didn't understand what was going on. He then nodded to one of his men beside him.

The subordinate understood, stepped forward, and without any further action, lifted the limp Sun Penghui up and stuffed him into the back seat of one of the vans.

The engine roared again, and the headlights turned. The three cars sped up as they had come, carrying the unconscious Wang Hu, the ashen-faced thugs, and Sun Penghui, who had finally escaped the kennel. They rolled over the broken gate and quickly disappeared into the deep night, leaving behind only a mess and a deathly silence.

Inside the kennel, only a few skinny dogs, emaciated from hunger, whimpered anxiously in their empty cages.
