"What Law of Succession to the Throne? How can a traitor be king? Don't you know that White Wolf Duke has always been ashamed of this uncle? Don't you know that White Wolf Duke personally changed his surname to Wolf Mound? Don't you know that almost the entire direct bloodline of the White Wolf Clan died in battle, all to atone for this beast's sins?"
"Such a disgraced person, how could you make him king? Aren't you afraid he'll be betrayed again someday?"
"Oh, no, you've already been sold out by the so-called King. You've recognized a thief as your father, submitted to the Holy See, obediently become lapdogs, wagging your tails and begging for a meager scrap of meat, and then kneeling down in gleeful gratitude... Heh, what a bunch of spineless cowards..."
A clear voice echoed everywhere, and with each additional word spoken, the expressions on Ademu's and his companions grew increasingly grim.
The last sentence, in particular, "spineless," really hits home.
If the Royal Court was merely a semi-vassal state of the Corte Alliance, then the White Wolf Kingdom was a complete puppet state.
The Dawn Empire's control over the White Wolf Kingdom extends to every aspect of its existence.
Militarily, the Dawn Empire has stationed a large number of troops in the White Wolf Kingdom, established numerous military bases, and its soldiers enjoy extraterritorial rights.
Economically, they control the financial system of the White Wolf Kingdom, as well as major companies and conglomerates.
Politically, embassies were established in all major and medium-sized cities for surveillance.
In addition, countless agents and spies operate within the White Wolf Kingdom.
Culturally, the customs and culture of the Geya People were vigorously promoted, and their education system was completely infiltrated, with Geya People values being forcibly implanted.
Through a series of actions, although the White Wolf Kingdom still identified itself Gendaya People, it had essentially lost its ethnic culture.
Furthermore, the soldiers of the Dawn Empire in the White Wolf Kingdom often act recklessly, committing rape, plunder, and all sorts of evil deeds, yet they go unpunished.
All of this became fodder for the world to ridicule the White Wolf Kingdom.
Logo's words were a scathing attack on the entire White Wolf Kingdom, even more so than Caesar's.
"As expected of my boss, his cursing skills are absolutely amazing." Caesar looked at Logo with admiration, while Crassus stared wide-eyed, as if he were seeing his boss for the first time.
"Brother, I think I understand now where Caesar's mouth came from. It's the passing down of the torch," Tiffany murmured to herself. Sherlock beside her nodded slowly, his face expressionless.
The murmurs behind him made Logo's lips twitch slightly, but he remained expressionless, staring calmly at Ademu and the others in front of him, looking like a refined gentleman, as if he wasn't the one who had been cursing so fiercely just moments before.
"Who are you? How dare you insult our monarch like this? Are you courting death?"
Knowing he couldn't out-argue the boy before him, and that verbal sparring wasn't his forte, Ademu's expression changed, and he spoke in a gloomy tone, hoping to scare Logo.
Unexpectedly, Logo showed no fear whatsoever, chuckling lightly, "These days, is it wrong to call someone a beast? You actually want to kill me? Then bring it on, let's see who laughs last... Oh, by the way, I heard you're participating in Mid-Rank Transcendent Martial Arts Tournament, is that true?"
Ademu narrowed his eyes and sneered, "What? You want to have a competition with me?"
Logo extended his index finger and shook it from side to side, a look of disdain in his eyes. "Compare? No, no, no, I just want to weigh whether this loyal dog's bones are hard or soft."
"You..." Ademu's forehead veins bulged, and he subconsciously gripped the hilt of his sword behind his back. But when he saw Logo smiling, his body stiffened, as if a bucket of cold water had been poured over him, extinguishing the anger in his heart.
This is not the place to start a fight.
"You think you can provoke me into making a move? How naive!" Ademu sneered.
Logo, however, scoffed, "You think you're worthy? Don't worry, I'll defeat you fair and square in the Martial Arts Tournament!"
These words caused an uproar among the crowd.
The way they looked at Logo was as if they were looking at a madman.
You, a mid-level alchemist, want to fight the Sword of the Kingdom?
What were you thinking?
Some people were dissatisfied, feeling that Logo's actions were utterly shameful, that he had abandoned the Royal Court's dignity for the sake of showing off, and that he had actually said such things in public.
However, some people admire Logo greatly, finding his courage commendable and worthy of being of Gendaya People, with a strong and resilient spirit flowing in his blood.
Ademu paused for a moment, thinking he had misheard, "You? You want to defeat me?"
"What? You don't believe me?" Logo raised his eyes, a smug smile playing on his lips.
Ademu laughed, "Fine, very well. Since you want to die, of course I won't refuse. Kid, cherish your life now."
After speaking, Ademu bowed respectfully to Qiya, and then led his men away from the main hall.
It's as if the group from the White Wolf Kingdom came simply to pay their respects to Qiya.
"These guys are up to no good." The Grand Elder walked forward with his hands behind his back, standing shoulder to shoulder with Logo, his gaze fixed intently on the departing figures.
Logo squinted. "They want to drive a wedge between the White Wolf Clan and the Royal Court."
The elder shook his head slightly. "It's not that simple. Do you know who brought them in?"
"Who?" Logo asked.
He was actually a little confused. Normally, people from the White Wolf Kingdom weren't allowed to enter the palace, unless...
"It's the Dragon Blood Clan!" The elder's words made Logo realize the truth.
The Dragon Blood Clan, one of the major clans of the Royal Court, is considered a family of bloodline sorcerers. They have the blood of Red Dragon flowing through their veins and are known for their violent temper, greed, and warlike nature.
They were an outlier among the thousands of clans in Gendaya, and had been a source of instability even before the Royal Court suffered its calamity, though at that time they were not yet a force to be reckoned with.
Now that the Royal Court's strength has greatly diminished, the Dragon Blood Clan has become increasingly restless.
Dragon Blood Island, occupied by the Dragon Blood Clan, is located to the west of the Trident Archipelago and is very close to the Rising Sun Peninsula. A hundred years ago, it was an important transportation hub connecting these two territories.
Currently, Dragon Blood Island is one of the bridgeheads in the fight against the White Wolf Kingdom.
The fact that the people of the White Wolf Kingdom were brought into the palace by the Dragon Blood Clan speaks volumes.
"The Dragon Blood Clan, they're planning to betray us, or perhaps they've already betrayed us..." Logo's pupils flickered as he pondered to himself.
"Alas, these are turbulent times. The Royal Court is likely to be thrown into turmoil once again." The Grand Elder sighed and slowly sat back down in his seat.
If a large clan openly betrays the Royal Court and joins the White Wolf Kingdom, it will be a huge blow to the morale of the Gendaya People.
If things go wrong, the situation that the Royal Court has worked so hard to maintain could suddenly collapse.
"It seems the development plan must be accelerated once again..."
