"According to intelligence obtained through in-depth investigation by our reporters, the results of this Martial Arts Tournament were found to be seriously rigged. Not only did several contestants abuse drugs, but the referees also showed severe bias, leading to the defeat of the Sword of the Kingdom and His Highness the Prince of the Dawn Empire..."
On a spaceship that resembled a giant whale, the sound of broadcasts echoed through the cabins, sparking much discussion.
"Hmph, this so-called Central Broadcasting Station of the White Wolf Kingdom is truly shameless! Our leader and Caesar clearly defeated Ademu and Damengsi with fair and square means, yet they accuse us of cheating and using underhanded methods, and even insult the Royal Court! This is intolerable!" Crassus gritted his teeth in anger, finally letting out a crunching sound, clearly furious.
Tiffany immediately chimed in, "That's right! These people from the White Wolf Kingdom are utterly unreasonable. They have no semblance of a great nation's manners whatsoever! Damn it, don't give me the chance, or I'll replace the mouths of these rumor-mongers with pig mouths!"
Logo heard everything Crassus and Tiffany said, but his expression remained calm, though a hint of disdain flickered in his eyes.
Seeing this, the old count sitting opposite him chuckled and asked, "Everyone is indignant, so why are you, the person directly involved, not only unconcerned but also laughing here?"
As soon as these words were spoken, all eyes turned to Logo.
"What's there to be angry about? They're just a bunch of rootless bastards having a hysterical frenzy." Logo chuckled and shook his head, his words also filled with utter contempt.
The crowd exchanged bewildered glances. The old count smiled knowingly. "You lad, you see things quite clearly. What these White Wolf Kingdom folks are doing, in the eyes of a wise person, is nothing more than a classic case of inferiority complex, bringing shame upon themselves."
Because the cultural foundation and orthodoxy are occupied by the Gendaya Royal Court, the White Wolf Kingdom, from top to bottom, harbors a deep-seated inferiority complex. On one hand, they use various means to prove their own legitimacy, stealing and even altering the customs and traditions passed down by the Gendaya Tribe. On the other hand, they look down on the Royal Court, considering themselves superior in civilization and viewing the Royal Court's people as foolish and stubborn. Whenever they encounter the Royal Court in international competitions or events, they will try every means to cause trouble. If they win, they will publicize it extensively; if they lose, they will smear it.
This Martial Arts Tournament is just a microcosm of the whole affair.
"But if we let them keep saying that, even the white will be smeared into black; public opinion can be incredibly powerful," Tiffany said, frowning.
Her brother Sherlock calmly retorted, "Sister, you don't need to worry about this. We can only deal with public opinion problems using the same methods. The Royal Court will definitely retaliate; we just need to wait and see the outcome."
Logo turned his head, glanced approvingly at Sherlock, and nodded slightly, saying, "You're right. This time, the White Wolf Kingdom is probably going to shoot itself in the foot. For the past few years, the Royal Court's propaganda department has outwardly been making concessions while secretly gathering information, waiting for an opportunity to deliver a Deadly Strike to the White Wolf Kingdom's reputation. Now, they've delivered themselves right to our doorstep, isn't that perfect?"
"Huh? How come we didn't know about this?" Crassus scratched his head with his paw, looking confused.
With a loud thud, Caesar punched Crassus on the forehead, saying with exasperation, "Of course! The mistress must have told the eldest son, you idiot!"
"You dead dragon, how dare you hit me?" Crassus covered his head, his eyes blazing with fury as he glared at him.
"It's not my fault, Dragon King. You're just too stupid to resist," Caesar said, tilting his head back and pursing his lips.
Crassus glared at him with hatred, trembling with rage. "Damn it! You just wait! Once I break through to Legendary, I'll ravage you a hundred times over! A hundred times!!"
"Tsk, by the time you break through to the Legendary, I, the Dragon King, might already be Demigod. You little chicken, oh no, little cat!" Caesar chuckled and said sarcastically.
Crassus could no longer contain himself and roared as he lunged at Caesar. Logo shook his head helplessly, "You two, you can fool around all you want, but don't dismantle his cockpit. Otherwise, you'll have to pay for it with your pocket money, understand?"
The moment the words "pocket money" were uttered, the dragon and the tiger immediately stopped fighting. They were joking, of course; how could they live a carefree life without money?
"Logo, is it really possible that someone will attack?" the old count suddenly asked in a deep voice. As he spoke, Sanctuary aura filled the air, blocking out all sounds in the small space.
"If my calculations are correct, it should be within the next few hours." Logo said, taking a sip of the tea in front of him. This tea was specially prepared for him by Qiya; it had a long aftertaste and wasn't particularly precious, but it was very unique, produced only by White Wolf Castle.
"So we're just going to wait like this?"
"What else can we do? The enemy is in the open while we are in the dark; we can only wait for them to show themselves."
"But what if their forces are too strong, and we can't stop them?"
"Don't worry, there won't be any problems!" Logo said gently, his words filled with confidence, but whether it was genuine or just an act, only he knew.
How could entering a tiger's den be without danger?
The Sanctuary was removed, its lingering echoes fading away. The cabin gradually quieted down, and the sound of breathing could be heard.
Everyone seemed to sense that a great battle was about to begin, which was why Crassus and Caesar deliberately made noise to liven up the atmosphere. They had both experienced fierce battles and knew very well that maintaining a relatively relaxed mood before the battle was very helpful.
Origin Island.
A military base for the Dwarf Race.
The young man, dressed in iron-gray armor, sat casually. On the table in front of him were various foods, mostly meat, which were rather rough, but the tableware used to serve them was extremely ornate and dazzling.
"Gelu, is everything done?" A faint, ethereal voice drifted from the darkness, its tone indistinct, neither male nor female, carrying a hint of mystery.
The dwarf general named Gelu, tearing large chunks of roasted deer leg from his hand, mumbled, "Don't worry, this isn't the first time we've cooperated. Just wait for good news."
After saying this, Gelu wiped his greasy mouth haphazardly with his hand, turned his head and asked, "When will the promised payment arrive?"
The mysterious voice appeared again, "Half of the agreed-upon resources are already at the usual location. You can send someone to retrieve them. As for the other half, we will naturally hand it over once the mission is confirmed to be completed."
Upon hearing this, Gelu curled his lip and said disdainfully, "You guys are just too cautious. They're just two Legendary. With such a powerful lineup to ambush them, it'll be a piece of cake. What's the difference between giving them away sooner or later?"
The voice fell silent. A flash of annoyance and gloom crossed Gelu's eyes, but he said nothing more. He knew all too well the organization's ways; he couldn't afford to offend them, and bargaining was out of the question.
He pulled the small knife stuck in the wooden tabletop, his fingertip grazing the blade, drawing blood. Gelu put his finger in his mouth, savoring the taste of blood, a ferocious grin spreading across his face. "Genius? A dead genius is a good genius! Turn them all into nourishment for my growth!"
In a dark and secluded place, a group of Transcendent dressed in specially made black combat suits were busy with something. Their aura and faces were concealed by their clothes, making them appear rather cold and mysterious.
"Have you discovered the target's whereabouts?" the figure standing with his hands behind his back asked.
Behind him, a subordinate immediately replied, "It's all been investigated. Based on intelligence gathered from inside sources, divination, and various other means, the target is on their way to Sunset Jungle."
"Oh? Sunset Jungle, he actually dares to go back?" A surprised exclamation rang out, and the person turned around. A familiar outline flashed across the face shrouded in black mist.
The subordinate replied, "The target is indeed cunning. They split into three groups: one headed to Sunset Jungle, one to Planet Guta, and the other remained at the Royal Court, currently in their fiefdom on Silver Peak Island."
"There was a target in all three routes. I guessed it was some kind of high-level illusion technique, so I asked the organization for the help of a diviner, and finally pinpointed his location."
Sunset Jungle?
"Excellent! His move was quite clever. Normally, staying on Origin Island or heading to Planet Guta would have been safer, but he chose to do the opposite. His decision-making and strategy are both commendable."
"What? Looks like you think highly of him?" The man leaned forward slightly, casting a shadow.
"Your subordinate wouldn't dare. Your subordinate only regrets that if such a person were to grow up, then the Royal Court..."
"Hmph, what time is it, still thinking about the Royal Court? Don't forget, after joining the organization, we'll cut all ties with the past. If I hear anything like that again, you'll know what to do!" The stern rebuke echoed, and the figure who had spoken earlier silently lowered his head and slowly retreated.
Before long, a message was sent out, and certain forces in the shadows quietly gathered.
Azure sea and sky, the sound of waves faintly heard, sunlight shines down, refracting into a Radiance of colors in the hazy mist, a truly beautiful sight.
Every now and then, huge fish leap out of the sea, facing the blazing sun high in the sky, displaying their unique beauty.
Call!!
The wind and clouds dispersed, transforming into a long white tail that trailed across the sky. Moments later, the massive spaceship vanished, leaving only a black dot.
"Be careful, we're in public airspace. This is the best place to make a move!" the old count suddenly said, his tone grave.
Upon hearing this, Logo slowly sat up straight, his right hand stroking the leaf-shaped tattoo on the back of his left hand, where a storage device contained Logo's weapons.
"Martial Arts Tournament have various restrictions, but real battles don't. I want to see just how powerful I am, with my three-star Legend equipment!" He whispered to himself, his mind flowing like a gentle stream, and an astonishing fighting spirit gradually gathered in his clear, dark pupils.
"They're here!"
Logo looked up, Caesar grinned, the surrounding space rippled, and the next moment, everyone disappeared from their original positions.
Boom!!
Flames shot into the sky, and metal fragments flew in all directions.
"Is he dead?" A figure descended from the clouds, surrounded by a clearly visible Sanctuary; this was none other than a Legendary powerhouse.
"They're not dead. I sensed a spatial fluctuation, but judging from its range and frequency, it's just a short-distance spatial movement. The distance is limited. I've already set up a spatial confinement field, and I'll be able to force them out soon."
An aged voice came from all directions, but the speaker's form was not revealed.
However, as his voice fell, powerful beings, at least Tier Five Transcendent individuals, surged in from all directions, quickly forming a massive encirclement.
"What should we do, boss? I can't hold on much longer!" Caesar said with a pained expression from inside the spatial interlayer.
Logo stood atop his head, his Eye of Insight gleaming with starlight, offering a panoramic view of the surrounding area spanning hundreds of kilometers. He even peered through space to spot a furtive old man—it was that guy who had set up the spatial constraint, preventing Caesar from teleporting continuously. Otherwise, they could have left at will.
Although Logo never intended to leave.
"One Epic, seven Legendary, and one hundred and fifty Transcendent beings of the Tier Five or above. Judging from their positions, they are probably not scattered individuals; it is indeed an organized and structured ambush!" Retracting his gaze, Logo rubbed his slightly sore temples and said softly.
The old count asked in surprise, "So many people? Just to ambush us? It seems your alchemical talent is truly enviable."
"Alchemy talent? Not only that, they probably also covet the inheritance!" Logo sneered.
"What do we do now? We only have three Legendary warriors, we can't beat them, can we? Putting everything else aside, that Epic is an insurmountable gap." The old count's face was solemn as he gripped his battle scythe tightly.
"Don't worry, we have help too!" Logo chuckled and patted Caesar's dragon horns. The latter understood and immediately retracted his wing form. As the spatial fluctuations disappeared, the group was revealed.
"Oh? See, I told you so, didn't I? They came out on their own, didn't they?" The aged voice rang out again.
As the words fell, the encirclement suddenly shrank, and various Transcendent abilities transformed into colorful streams of light, shooting in from all directions with overwhelming power.
Especially that Epic expert, with a single sword strike, the rising sword light instantly filled the entire space, and the terrifying sword intent sent chills down one's spine. This was actually a rare "Sword Saint" professional, and an Epic Sword Saint at that.
"Hey, if you guys don't come out soon, I'm going to die!" Logo said with a faint smile, calling out towards a certain direction.
As soon as he finished speaking, the sky suddenly darkened, and darkness enveloped the ocean and the sky, like a terrifying behemoth that completely swallowed everything, including the light, including that arrogant sword light.
"Epic Peak?" The Sword Saint muttered to himself. He was only at the Epic Tier One. Even if the Sword Saint class was good at combat, it was impossible to cross the gap of two levels.
"However..." A cold smile flashed across the Sword Saint's eyes, "We knew you were fishing for us!"
As the thought flashed by, a terrifying aura swept in from the outermost layer, instantly dominating everyone's will.
"Demigod!" Tiffany cried out.
