Where is the Left Prime Minister now?
Logo turned to look at Qiya beside him.
A clear, ethereal voice then reached my ears, "It should be at the royal palace. It's said that Prince Aomu of the Dwarf Race has arrived."
"Prince?"
Logo narrowed his eyes. "Is it because of Gelu?"
As a Dwarf Race officer stationed at the Royal Court, Gelu Thorne's identity is not simple. He comes from a dwarven royal family that has been passed down for tens of thousands of years, and is a direct descendant.
However, because this person inherited almost all of the dwarves' shortcomings—greed, irritability, and anger—he was not popular even among the Dwarf Race. Even his father had expressed his undisguised disgust for this good-for-nothing second son in public on more than one occasion.
Due to his own lack of ability and poor interpersonal relationships, Gelu had never fared well in the Corte Alliance until he was transferred to the Gendaya Royal Court as a garrison officer, at which point things began to improve. However, who would have thought that this guy would collude with the Dark Side of the Dawn Empire and betray the interests of the Royal Court.
Therefore, it seems that Gelu's rapid advancement in cultivation after arriving at the Trident Archipelago was due to the large amount of Transcendent resources he obtained from the Dawn Empire.
According to Royal Court law, this guy deserves to die a hundred times over for his behavior.
However, the world is never short of "special cases".
The proud dwarven royal family would never allow its own members to be judged by a foreign race.
Even one's own allies!!
And it seems predictable what decision the Royal Court, which depends on the Dwarf Race, will make.
Various thoughts flashed through his mind, and a cold glint unconsciously appeared in Logo's eyes.
"Don't be impulsive," Qiya said softly, gently holding Logo's hand.
Upon reaching the High-Rank Transcendent stage and absorbing the Power of Faith, Logo's robot-like rationality was suppressed by the resurgent surge of human emotions, making him more like a living person, a Blood Qi young man. However, with every gain comes a loss, and the turmoil of emotions is sometimes beyond the control of reason, especially in front of his loved ones.
Logo took a deep breath, his expression returning to calm, and squeezed the soft warmth in his palm. "You continue with your work, I'll go check on the palace."
Having said that, he led Crassus and his party toward the Buratino Royal Palace.
Qiya watched Logo's retreating figure with concern. After pondering for a moment, she took out her communicator and sent some messages before leading her guards away from the spot.
After Logo entered the palace, he was greeted by a middle-aged man, who was none other than the chief steward of the White Wolf Clan.
"Young Master Logo!"
The head butler bowed slightly; his impeccable attire and impeccable manners left no room for criticism.
Did Qiya send you?
The moment Logo saw the head butler, he basically understood.
This woman is like a shredder, using her own methods to gradually crush the iron shell around my heart.
The head butler smiled without saying a word, but his meaning was clear: he acquiesced.
"Since we're already here, let's go in and see what price Prince Aomu is willing to offer for his nephew's life."
Logo said calmly.
The head steward wore a formulaic smile. "Why wasn't it the Royal Court that executed this garrison officer?"
"You think it's possible?" Logo scoffed, "Under these circumstances?"
So the head steward stopped talking, but his already respectful demeanor became even more sincere.
Logo was already used to the head butler's constant probing.
He didn't believe that this old fox who controlled the White Wolf Clan wouldn't understand Gelu's situation. Between powerful forces, there was only the exchange of interests; this was something ingrained in their bones, and of course, Logo was among them now.
Logo understood the butler's probing behavior; after all, anyone would carefully examine the person they would pledge allegiance to, let alone such a cunning fellow.
Along the way, after passing through dozens of security networks and being investigated by at least twenty Sanctuary experts, the group arrived at a side hall of the royal palace.
The dark gold gate, inlaid with numerous jewels, was firmly shut. Faintly, angry voices could be heard coming from the cracks in the door. Logically, this was impossible; with the soundproofing of the palace, even if an air rocket were launched from inside, no sound would be heard outside.
But the reality was that almost everyone in the corridor, including Logo and his group, heard these sounds— the Furious Roar of Left Prime Minister Alex.
Almost everyone wore a strange expression, their ears perked up, intently listening for the subtle vibrations in the air.
"This is outrageous! Is this how you Dwarf Race treat your allies?"
"We Gendaya People fought valiantly on the front lines, resisting the invasion of the Dawn Empire for our alliance, yet there's such a big rat in our rear, stealing the fruits of our victory."
"A direct descendant of the prestigious Suoen Family has actually colluded with the Dark Side of the Dawn Empire! Such a disgrace! What's the point of keeping this guy alive? Why not just kill him outright?!"
"..."
It's hard to imagine that the usually reserved, deep, gentle, and refined Left Prime Minister Alex could be so fierce and unstoppable when he starts lashing out.
Throughout the entire ordeal, Logo barely heard Prince Aomu's voice.
Logo could almost picture the prince's expression right now—a gloomy face, wanting to speak but unable to get a word in edgewise amidst the Left Prime Minister's intimidating barrage of words. In the end, he simply gave up, his face expressionless, thinking, "Whatever."
"This was intentional, wasn't it? It must have been!" Tiffany muttered softly.
Sherlock, the younger brother, tugged at his sister's sleeve, giving her a meaningful look, "Let's keep this to ourselves, don't say a word."
Tiffany immediately shut up.
Logo understood that the Left Prime Minister's angry words were more of a prelude to the negotiations that followed. Otherwise, given the Gendaya People's character, they would have killed Gru as soon as they captured Gelu, instead of keeping him alive until now.
Five minutes later, the sounds inside the side hall gradually subsided.
Until you can't hear it anymore.
By this point, everyone understood that the negotiation had begun, and how much profit could be extracted from the Dwarf Race depended on the methods of the Left Alex.
No one is worried about this. The Left Prime Minister is known as a negotiation genius who can squeeze oil out of rocks. With him involved, the Dwarf Race will not be able to settle this matter without paying a heavy price.
Squeak!!
A dozen minutes later, the nearly twenty-meter-high gate slowly opened.
Logo looked up and saw a dwarf in a magnificent robe approaching. His thick, bushy brown beard was tied into delicate braids, and he wore a crown befitting a prince. From the trembling corners of his mouth and his tightly clenched fists, everyone knew that the Dwarf Race had been tricked badly this time.
But no one showed them any pity.
If the Royal Court hadn't deliberately lured them into this predicament, Gelu's existence would have been a ticking time bomb, the kind that could have plunged the Gendaya Tribe into annihilation.
Faced with the life-or-death situation of their race, the Dwarf Race were already being lenient by paying only a small amount of compensation.
After Prince Aomu left, a servant came out and approached Logo. "Lord Earl Campbell, the Left Chancellor requests your presence!"
Logo nodded slightly and, under the watchful eyes of many, followed the attendant into a side hall of the palace, with the head steward, Crassus, the old count, and others following closely behind.
The gate closed again, cutting off all movement.
"Greetings, Your Excellency the Left Prime Minister!"
"Hmm!" Alex replied expressionlessly, as always.
It was as if he wasn't the one who had just been angrily berating Prince Aomu.
Out of the corner of his eye, he subtly glanced at the head butler who followed behind Logo like an old servant.
"You've come at the right time. Next up is the trial of the Tielin Clan. Listen to what's happening."
With two crisp snaps, the side door opened, and a dozen or so pure-blooded Gendaya People, whose strength had been sealed, entered, led by eight Legendary and Epic- level Transcendent individuals.
With a clang, the iron chains struck the ground, and the Tielin Clan all bowed their heads, their faces ashen, their eyes filled with deep-seated hatred.
Logo was quite familiar with this hatred, and the head butler beside him also noticed it.
However, the latter was aimed at the White Wolf King, while the former was targeting Grand Duke Tielin, a Demigod who betrayed the Royal Court.
Traitors are always the most hated beings.
When Grand Duke Tielin left, he only took a few trusted confidants with him. It wasn't that he couldn't take more; it was simply that apart from those few die-hards, the other core members of the Tielin Clan had no intention of following him. In fact, they launched an attack without hesitation the moment he rebelled.
The Gendaya People, especially the Seven Great Clans that are the origin of their bloodline, are always the most loyal to the Gendaya Tribe themselves.
They regard their own bloodline as the highest honor, and betraying their clan is almost unthinkable.
This is why the betrayals of the White Wolf King and the Grand Duke Tielin seem so unconventional and incomprehensible.
However, Logo seemed to have already understood something.
On his forehead, the Miracle Creation - Eye of Insight shone faintly. Inside, countless stars moved and evolved according to some unknown law. The Morning Star Chess provided by his teacher Maidisenna was already complex enough, but in front of the Eye of Insight, it was like a speck of dust compared to the sun, completely incomparable.
After advancing to High-Rank Transcendent, the power of the Eye of Insight has reached a new level, its ability to perceive all things is more than ten times stronger than before.
With the help of his Eye of Insight, Logo was able to see even more.
Wisps of black smoke drifted by; they were the external manifestation of something formed from the condensation of dark and evil forces, Logo had seen more than once.
Back on Planet Guta, there was the Vice Minister of Trade and Economic Affairs, the Chairman of the Ximenjia Consortium, Kusisi... and that piece of unknown black flesh I obtained from the Underdark spatial passage!!
"The same aura, the same laws governing the structure... this combination... an extraterrestrial evil god?"
Thinking of this, Logo couldn't help but recall Lancelot's experience on Planet Golden Bridge.
And the intelligence transmitted back from Gustavo's clone.
Blood sacrifice, extraterrestrial evil gods, the Chosen Ones, Ashes...
As more and more information was pieced together, a clue slowly began to emerge.
And this clue points to...
"Guta Federation!!"
Upon reaching this conclusion, Logo's pupils suddenly contracted, filled with disbelief.
What's wrong, Logo?
A hand patted Logo's shoulder; it was Left Prime Minister Alex.
"It's nothing!" Logo exhaled slowly.
My guess was too crazy.
If I told anyone, probably no one would believe me.
Besides, this is just speculation, and without strong evidence to support it, it's best to keep it to ourselves for now.
That's the Guta Federation, the most powerful force in the Elven Plane, and the leader of the Good Faction.
And what about the Ashes?
The head of a terrorist organization.
The uncrowned king of the dark world.
Committing all kinds of evil, extremely vicious, heinous, and utterly wicked...
Are these two in cahoots?
Who would believe that if I told them?
Logo himself began to doubt this deduction.
Alex gave the boy in front of him a deep look, but didn't try to figure out what Logo was thinking. He raised his chin and looked directly at the dozen or so people from the Tielin Clan.
"Tell me, what should we do? What kind of punishment should these people receive? Death, or perhaps, atonement with their lives?"
As he spoke, the Left Prime Minister walked to the middle of the Tielin Clan group, and his words naturally echoed in their ears.
Everyone instantly looked up, and a dozen gazes, like torches in the night, shone brightly on Logo's face.
Let me say it?
Logo frowned, somewhat taken aback.
The White Wolf Steward lowered his head, a hint of surprise flashing in his narrow eyes, but quickly, that surprise turned into a meaningful look and a faint joy.
Compared to these old scoundrels who have spent their lives scheming and plotting against each other, Logo, despite his exceptional intelligence, lacked some experience. However, his mental processing speed was enough to astound anyone, and thus, he quickly figured things out.
"Is this... paving the way for me?"
In just a short time, Logo had thought about far too many things.
First, there was the promise made by the Grand Elder.
He promised himself that if he could successfully lure the enemy out of their hiding place, the king would support him in becoming the new King of Gendaya.
Logo didn't believe it completely, but he believed it about 70%, leaving the remaining 30% as he habitually harbored doubts.
As the Grand Elder, the guardian of the Royal Court, his influence is self-evident. Once he makes a decision, it is almost equivalent to the decision of the Royal Court.
As for the matter of electing a new king, the Grand Elder could not possibly keep it from the Left and Right Chancellors.
Especially the Left Prime Minister, intelligent people tend to overthink things. If he is not open and honest from the beginning, once the seeds of doubt are sown, rifts will inevitably arise.
Therefore, Logo had reason to suspect that the Grand Elder had told the Left Prime Minister about their agreement before the operation began.
In this way, every move and word of the Left Prime Minister in front of Logo became meaningful.
Secondly, the idea that having Logo become the Left Chancellor was paving the way for himself was supported by the current situation in the Royal Court.
According to intelligence gathered from various sources, the Royal Court is once again at the center of the storm. In such a critical situation, even the smallest bit of strength is precious, let alone the entire Tielin Clan.
