The Golden Treasury, Instant Riches, Damn It, the Organization Will Remember Your Achievements
As they spoke, Lancelot's hand, transformed into a dragon claw, swiftly seized the Golden King by the neck, firmly controlling him.
The Golden King glared angrily, struggling frantically. He was completely bewildered; what was his second brother trying to do?
Patricide and regicide?!
Don't you want to stay in the Golden Kingdom anymore?
Or is he planning a coup?
Are you looking for death?
This is the royal palace, and everyone here belongs to the Golden King!
Sure enough, the moment Lancelot succeeded, a burly man in black armor with a scar on his face appeared behind him.
This person, named Tailuoer, is the chief of the royal guard, nicknamed Jedi Fighter. He is a rare figure among hunters whose nickname does not include bloodline characteristics. He is Epic Tier Three powerhouse.
Feiyue Yilainuoke was severely injured by this man, and many members of the Crimson Shadow also died at the hands of Tailuoer. Otherwise, the battle at Cloud Summit Peak might not have escalated to such an extent.
"Second Prince, release His Majesty!" Tailuoer said in a deep voice, his pure golden pupils burning like flames. It wasn't fire-attribute energy, but rather a fire representing some kind of will.
Tailuoer is one of the very few Transcendent powerhouses who has stepped outside the Hunter System; his will is the Source of Power.
"Another Child of Destiny, heh, the Golden Star is quite lively!" Logo strode over, his eyes fixed intently on Tailuoer, or rather, observing the intense Fate swirling around the latter.
"Who are you?" Tailuoer was startled. He hadn't even noticed how this falcon-headed, human-bodied creature had appeared. It was terrifying.
"Who I am is unimportant. What's important is that it seems you're the one who should surrender." Logo smiled faintly, then winked at a corner of the hall.
The next second, space distorted, turning into a cage that dragged out an old man with a sinister expression. The old man was surrounded by an extremely dense aura of darkness.
"Trying to ambush and steal the hostage? Naïve!" Caesar, standing behind Logo, crossed his arms and said dismissively.
As early as when Lancelot entered the palace, Walpole had already taken the Demigod [Eternal Pure Land] and encompassed the entire palace.
This exquisite Demigod, primarily based on spatial elements with supplementary elements of earth and barrier, is most powerful in its subtle and pervasive control capabilities.
The Eternal Pure Land can temporarily and silently absorb a large area of space into a crystal ball without the enemy noticing, while leaving a spatial projection in the outside world.
The projection is realistic, complete with figures, and operates according to the will of the [Eternal Pure Land]'s master. In short—
Robbery, kidnapping, and extortion? Eternal Pure Land – the only choice!
The sinister old man was suddenly pulled out, and he was immediately filled with shock and anger, not understanding how the other party had done it.
"Chelsea! Damn it!" Despair flashed in the Golden King's eyes. His true personal guard, Chelsea, who was also Epic Tier Three, had actually been discovered.
"You must be the legendary Shadow Beneath the King? Tsk tsk tsk, not very good-looking at all!" Lancelot turned his head and brazenly sized up the sinister old man who had just appeared.
"Second Prince, what exactly do you want to do?" Chelsea asked after taking a deep breath and forcing herself to calm down.
Lancelot smiled faintly and teased, "Don't be so childish. Of course it's for the throne, not just for fun, right?"
The second prince's casual attitude made Chelsea's heart sink. It meant that the other party was absolutely confident in controlling the situation. However, he knew all the powerful hunters in the kingdom, but there was not one here.
Could these powerful individuals be secretly trained by the second prince?
That's impossible. Where would he get the resources and time?
Chelsea was completely baffled.
"Alright, enough with the chit-chat, go get some sleep!" Lancelot waved his hand, Logo gave the order to Walpole and Gou Site.
Tailuoer and Chelsea offered almost no resistance and were quickly suppressed.
Just kidding! Even the strongest hunter, Jarvan, was suppressed by Gou Site with the power of a single dragon. Now that Gou Site and Walpole, who controls the Eternal Pure Land, are attacking at the same time, it would be strange if these two could make any waves!
With his last hope shattered, the Golden King was filled with despair.
But he stubbornly insisted, "I am your father and the king. Without my consent, you cannot inherit the throne."
At first glance, this statement sounds quite assertive.
However, the underlying meaning is quite intriguing.
It's more like saying, "You can't kill me, otherwise it would be the heinous crime of regicide and patricide. If you kill me, no one will recognize your legitimacy. You must spare my life..."
Lancelot completely ignored the Golden King, casually knocked him unconscious, and handed him over to Walpole, who was standing nearby.
Walpole took out some space crystals and spent a few minutes setting up a long-distance teleportation array on the ground. Logo and the Golden King stood on the teleportation array, and the next second, space distorted and the two disappeared.
My vision blurred for a moment, and the feeling of weightlessness came and then quickly disappeared.
Looking around, an endless ocean of lava came into view, and waves of heat rolled in, instantly igniting the Golden King's clothes. Logo had no choice but to wrap them in an energy shield.
"Wow, I've been waiting for so long, it's finally here!"
Gustavo suddenly leaped out of the sea of lava, completely naked.
"It's him, right? Including that second prince, there's no one else, is there?" Gustavo asked, scrutinizing the unconscious Golden King.
"That's all for now. Do you still have any Parasitic Spider Eggs left?"
"You forgot? We were searching for geniuses on Planet Guta to control some time ago, and there wasn't a single drop of extra soul essence left!" Gustavo shrugged helplessly.
"What should we do then?"
"It's alright, it's just a matter of giving up two Legendary soul slaves." Gustavo waved his hand dismissively.
Logo breathed a sigh of relief and casually asked, "What happens to abandoned soul slaves?"
Gustavo said nonchalantly, "I'll let their souls disintegrate and their wills erode on their own, leaving behind intact corpses for me to craft into combat puppets."
Gustavo said this without any psychological burden. Although those Legendary soul slaves had been with him for quite some time, Gustavo had always treated them as consumables, using them at most to relieve his boredom.
Gustavo will never forget the astonishing hatred that flashed in the eyes of those people the moment before he took control of these soul slaves.
Once you've offended someone, they'll never be your friend!
This is a cautionary tale from the Dragon-Hunting Spider Clan!
Gustavo stated that he would resolutely implement the requirements of the proverb, and would be a thoroughly evil person, resolutely rejecting any filth or dross involving truth, goodness, and beauty.
Logo didn't say much about Gustavo's choice. So-called justice and evil were just different camps. No matter what decision Gustavo made, he and Lancelot would just silently support him, and vice versa.
"Wait a moment, let me dismiss Aisi and Winston, those two soul slaves, first!" Gustavo said, then closed his eyes.
Soul threads, resembling a spiderweb, appeared behind Gustavo. They were dense and numerous, with each soul thread representing a soul slave.
Suddenly, two of the very thick soul threads snapped, and two spider eggs flew from a distant place and sank into the depths of Gustavo's soul.
Meanwhile, two Legendary beings in the distance, Flame Knight Aisi and Psychic Winston, both committed suicide, turning into soulless corpses. Until their deaths, they remained absolutely fanatical and loyal to Gustavo.
This is the terrifying aspect of Parasitic Spider Eggs; once they become soul slaves, there is no hope of redemption.
After retrieving the Parasitic Spider Eggs from the two Legendary soul slaves, Gustavo's soul essence immediately replenished significantly. After opening his eyes, he casually waved his hand, and the sleeping Second Prince Adelia appeared out of thin air.
The first thing Gustavo did after entering the Golden Star was to dig the second prince out of the ground and bring him to his side.
After that, instead of rushing to meet Lancelot immediately, he went to the boundless Sea of Lava.
It wasn't that Gustavo didn't want to go to the Golden Royal City to help; it was purely because of one of his talents.
That's right, it's [Luck Deprivation]!
Gustavo worried that if he went to the Golden Royal City, a meteor might suddenly fall from the sky and flatten the city, or a Demigod beast might go berserk and attack.
This is not impossible; Gustavo knows his own complex talent all too well.
And so, the Golden King and his second son were reunited.
Gustavo used the extra essence of his soul to condense a new Parasitic Spider Eggs and planted it deep within the souls of the two.
The spider eggs quickly took root and sprouted, spreading countless soul spider silks that tightly bound the souls of the Golden King and his son.
Afterwards, Gustavo woke the two of them up.
After slowly waking up, the Golden King looked at the mechanical clone that was scrutinizing him, and anger immediately flashed in his eyes.
But soon, this anger dissipated, replaced by respect, because the supreme master ordered the Golden King to treat Logo as his master.
"Your ability is truly convenient. To synthesize something solely by devouring soul-type gene fragments is unbelievable." The mechanical clone exclaimed in amazement upon seeing the Golden King's reaction.
Gustavo said, "Besides the inspiration I got from the ' Puppet Master ' profession, my high Luck attribute definitely played a huge role in obtaining the Parasitic Spider Eggs, although this role was quite subtle."
Although the Luck Deprivation caused Gustavo a lot of trouble, this talent is really useful.
Logo was fully aware of this.
In the same past life, his understanding of the Luck Deprivation was no less than Gustavo's; in his previous life, he had gained countless benefits by relying on the Luck Deprivation.
At the Peak Epic, facing the encirclement and pursuit of eight Demigod, and fleeing for so long, how did he manage to remain uncaptured?
Of course it's luck!
Could it be that it's just Epic Combat Skills at level 45?
Without luck, one cannot obtain various opportunities to acquire high-quality equipment, nor can one suddenly find a way out when all seems lost—it's like being the chosen one.
Even after finally obtaining the Eye of Insight, Logo still suspected that luck might have played a role, although the possibility was extremely small. According to the records of the Aslant Civilization, Miracle Creation were beings that transcended the Three Realms and were not subject to the Five Elements, unaffected by Fortune, and existed in a state similar to "chaos."
While the Luck Deprivation is impressive, expecting it to influence the Miracle Creation is giving that talent too much credit. Even the Goddess of Luck herself hasn't possessed a single Miracle Creation, which speaks volumes.
"Could it be that I am truly the Destiny one?" Logo chuckled self-deprecatingly, then stopped thinking about it and said to Gustavo, "You stay here for now. I will send the Golden Maple Tree branch over via the teleportation array. After that, whether you stay or leave is up to you."
After saying this, Logo led the Golden King and his son onto the teleportation array. A flash of light, and they disappeared.
Meanwhile, the coup within the Golden Royal City was also nearing its final stages.
A bloody purge began.
Any resistance was completely crushed by absolute force.
Especially the eldest prince's faction.
Everyone, including the eldest prince, was killed.
None of the eldest prince's bloodline children were spared, and his maternal clan was also wiped out.
In their quest for absolute control of the Golden Kingdom, Lancelot and Logo displayed a chilling ruthlessness and iron will.
The greatest respect you can show to your enemy is to annihilate them completely!
The next day!
The Golden King abdicated in the palace, passing the throne to his second son, Prince Adelia.
The courtiers dared not utter a single objection, and could only respectfully prostrate themselves beneath the throne, kneeling before the young figure seated there.
Unbeknownst to these people, behind the throne, in the deep shadows, the two true rulers of the Golden Kingdom were looking down at them, their gazes sweeping across the hall with a deep, somber intensity, like a lion king surveying his territory.
Golden Treasury!
Rumble~
The massive bronze gate slowly opened, revealing the accumulated resources of the Golden Star's humankind over thousands of years, as if it were a naked maiden laid bare before Logo and Lancelot.
The resource output of the high-magic planet is terrifying, enough to easily support hundreds of Demigod and hundreds of millions of Transcendent.
The Golden Kingdom is vast, covering an area equivalent to more than half of the Radiant Empire. It is sparsely populated, and the highest level of the Hunter System is only the Epic Peak, with very few Hunters.
This means that the Golden Kingdom consumes very few resources but produces an exceptionally large amount; the ratio between the two is beyond description.
Not to mention, there are many ancient ruins on the Golden Star, and developing any one of them would bring huge benefits.
Monsters lack intelligence and do not understand the importance of ancient ruins, but humans are different. Hunters have always been extremely enthusiastic about exploring ruins.
The story of a hunter who gained immense benefits from ancient ruins and soared to great heights, becoming Legend, is widely circulated on the Golden Star.
After the establishment of the Golden Kingdom, humanity became completely united and carried out the development of ancient ruins in an organized and systematic manner. The efficiency was dozens of times greater, and in just over ten years, they acquired countless invaluable Transcendent resources.
Over the years, the sheer quantity of resources within the Golden Treasury was astounding. Even with Logo and Lancelot's extensive knowledge, they couldn't help but gasp in astonishment upon seeing the mountain of resources piled up inside.
The same thought simultaneously arose in their minds.
Damn it, thankfully the Hunter System has demonic interference, which prevents us from using many common Transcendent resources and weapons. Otherwise, with our limited strength, how could we possibly stage a coup? We'd be lucky to escape being chopped up and turned into mincemeat!
It can be said that apart from the Golden Maple Tree, which is relatively scarce in the Hunter System, other resources are produced at will, and this is only a drop in the ocean.
The hunters of the Golden Kingdom are unfortunate because their Transcendent system has a huge flaw: their lifespan is only slightly longer than that of ordinary mortals, and they are prone to madness in their later years.
But they are also extremely lucky. There are few wolves and plenty of meat, which means that the hunters will never lack resources. Even the lowest-level hunters can still gather enough resources to advance as long as they are willing to work hard.
Of course, there are countless hunters who, despite having ample resources, still perish during their advancement process.
To reiterate, the Hunter's Transcendent system has too many problems. This cannot be solved simply by having more resources. It requires generations of hunters to keep striving, refining and perfecting it, before a new Transcendent profession can be formed.
Upon entering the Golden Treasury, the most striking sight is the collection of mostly broken and incomplete animal skeletons.
Tiger, leopard, dragon, snake, deer, cow, sheep, horse...
Everything you could want!
They either roar ferociously to the sky or crouch low with their heads and tails tucked in; each possesses its own unique and powerful charm.
Upon approaching, the mechanical clone reached out and stroked a massive skeleton that resembled a winged tiger, sensing the divine power remaining on it. In the mechanical clone's Eagle Eye, flames seemed to burn.
What kind of power would be created if these skeletal fossils left behind by so Demigod- level beasts were transformed into mechs or mechanical warriors?
Demigod beasts are already physically powerful, and their skeletons, being the essence of their bodies, need no further explanation.
Whether it's the energy conduction properties, the toughness, or the dormant divine power within the bones, it's an excellent material.
The Golden Kingdom's technology was inadequate, so these treasures could only be displayed in its vault, serving no other purpose than for ornamentation.
Logo, on the other hand, as an alchemist, could make the most of these Demigod bones.
"If I remember correctly, in the Aslant Civilization's database, there's a type of war golem called ' Colossus,' which uses the flesh of divine life forms as its material... and not just these Demigod skeletons, but also the false god slumbering in the God's Cage —once I've thoroughly researched it, I can make it into Colossus and utilize it perfectly..."
Various inspirations began to surface in the mechanical clone's mind, mostly focusing on the skeletons of these Demigod.
Unlike Logo, Lancelot's attention was mostly focused on the twenty-two Demigod.
Compared to Demigod, Demigod are much more resilient. A significant portion of them survived the cataclysmic disaster 30,000 years ago, and those that survived were generally of higher quality.
Among these 22 Demigod.
There are 4 common quality items, 15 fine quality items, 2 Rare quality items, and even one Legend quality Demigod.
That Legend Demigod was a set of snake scale armor, entirely black, with ancient Savage inscriptions covering the surface of each snake scale, exuding an extremely grand aura that was not released.
This aura was quite familiar to Lancelot.
"Infinite Serpent..."
Lancelot muttered to himself.
Yes, the aura emanating from this snake scale armor is extremely similar to that of the Fujia Ring Serpent that Gustavo encountered on Planet Pandora, and the bloodline of the Serpent Ring Family originates from the Infinite Serpent.
"Could it be that this snake scale armor is Demigod inherited by the Serpent Ring Family? Similar to the Scythe of Slaughter and the Eye of Gendaya?" Lancelot stroked his chin, speculating.
He felt that his deduction was most likely accurate.
After all, according to the records, the Serpent Ring Family was once one of the most powerful bloodline sorcerer families on the Golden Star. After the disaster struck the Golden Star, the surviving members of the clan fled to Planet Pandora.
"I wonder if these Demigod, Steel Feather Cloak, can be Replication..."
If the Steel Feather Cloak could "Replication" these Demigod, wouldn't he be able to possess dozens of Demigod at the same time? Just imagining that scene is enough to get one's blood pumping.
However, after trying, Lancelot gave up in frustration. The Demigod was good, but the Steel Feather Cloak was no good.
In short, we have the will but not the power!
What can a little brother do when faced with a bunch of alluring older sisters?
The only solution is... out of sight, out of mind!
Forcing himself not to look at the Demigod -Demigod, including the Legend Serpent Scale Armor, which could only be seen but not Replication, Lancelot continued to wander around the Golden Treasury.
He doesn't actually have a high demand for resources.
As for weapons, the Steel Feather Cloak is incredibly versatile, capable of transforming into anything you desire.
In terms of improving physical attributes, Lancelot's speed is already incredibly fast; any faster and his foundation will become unstable.
While the Power of Adaptation is strong, it cannot be overused; a buffer period needs to be allowed.
While Demigod are powerful, they also consume a lot of resources and cannot be used as a regular means.
However, it could be used as a trump card.
After browsing through the treasure vault, Lancelot ultimately only picked out a few Demigod.
Snake scales are naturally included.
Lancelot also gave this Legend Demigod armor a new name: [Infinity Scale Armor].
"Uh, I almost forgot something. If the Infinity Scale Armor really is Demigod inherited by the Serpent Ring Family, it seems like it can't be used without the bloodline of the Infinite Serpent..."
What is a racial inheritance weapon?
It's very simple; those who are not members of this race cannot use it.
Just like the [Scythe of Slaughter] of the Gendaya Tribe, if the Elf Race obtained it, they could only look on with envy and sigh. At most, they could use its natural sharpness and hardness in battle, but as for its various equipment effects, they could forget about them.
"Let's give it a try first, what if it works!" Lancelot reassured himself.
One minute later.
Lancelot angrily removed the Infinity Scale Armor, which remained unresponsive to his various provocations.
It was obvious that he had failed.
The Infinity Scale Armor completely ignored Lancelot, remaining lifeless as if mocking him.
"The Infinite Serpent bloodline, right? I'd like to see just how intelligent your armor really is!"
Lancelot didn't give up. Although he didn't have the bloodline of the Infinite Serpent, he could Replication others'!
While the Serpent Ring Family no longer exists on Golden Star, Planet Pandora still has quite a few.
With Lancelot's current strength, kidnapping a member of the Serpent Ring Family wouldn't be a piece of cake, but it certainly wouldn't be difficult.
With this thought, Lancelot felt a little relieved. He waved his hand, and Steel Feather Cloak appeared, enveloping the five Demigod he had chosen and merging them into his body.
Of these five Demigod, I'll keep two for myself to defend myself with the Infinity Scale Armor, leave two for Mona, and prepare the other two for Zyra.
Once the latter awakens, he will most likely break through to Demigod. At that time, he will be able to unleash the true power of the Demigod and increase Lancelot's influence.
After Mona broke through to Demigod, her position within the Crimson Alliance soared, and Lancelot, who was close to her, also rose in rank.
The stronger Mona, the greater the benefit to Lancelot.
In order to avoid revealing information about the Golden Star, Lancelot chose only relatively unknown Demigod.
Although 30,000 years have buried most of the past of Golden Star in the dust of history, there's always a chance that someone might accidentally discover something and deduce from the slightest clues that Golden Star was not destroyed.
This is not impossible.
Lancelot is now very grateful for one thing: when facing Dean Urta, he did not reveal that his destination was the Golden Star.
"The problem now is how to explain the origin of the Golden Mother Tree's sap... If there's the essence of the mother tree, then there must be the entire mother tree, and the most suitable environment for the Golden Maple Tree to survive is only Golden Star..."
"What are you thinking about?" Logo walked over and asked with a smile.
It's true that the three of them share the same memories, but they haven't reached the point where their thinking is synchronized.
In that case, they wouldn't be three independent individuals, but one living being.
Lancelot turned his head and expressed his concerns.
"That's it? No problem. I'll mix it up for you and disguise it as some kind of Rare potion." Logo offered his solution.
"What if Dean Urta presses the matter?" Lancelot frowned slightly.
Logo said irritably, "Just ignore him, okay? Don't forget, you have the Demigod powerhouse Dark Rose Mona Wiggins standing behind you now. Kid, you need to learn to be assertive even when you're being treated like a pushover!"
Lancelot was speechless.
In terms of shamelessness, he was ultimately inferior to Logo.
Of course, Logo's shamelessness is far inferior to Gustavo's.
Oh no, to be precise, Gustavo doesn't have the concept of face.
Take robbery as an example.
Lancelot, though he wouldn't hesitate, also felt a sense of shame.
Logo doesn't have much of a sense of shame, but he does feel embarrassed occasionally.
Gustavo...
All he could say was, "What? That's yours? Why? Your name is engraved on it?"
"How dare you! Why did you carve your name on my things!"
This is Gustavo!
That said, Logo's words pinpointed the crux of the problem.
Lancelot is no longer the young man he once was. Now, he has a Demigod wife, though they're not officially married yet, it's practically a done deal.
He also has a sister-in-law, Mo Li, who is crucial to the Crimson Alliance's counterattack against the Blood Clan.
Furthermore, Lancelot is the most record-breaking super genius in the history of the Holy Sword Academy, and a benchmark figure for the academy.
With the triple aura of power, Lancelot now has the right to remain silent in the face of questioning from Demigod.
He deserves to have his own secrets and opportunities.
Ultimately, everything comes down to strength!
Having figured these things out, Lancelot's doubts were completely dispelled.
After checking the Golden Treasury with Logo, the two arrived at the maple tree courtyard of the royal palace.
Here, we encountered the iconic Transcendent resource of the Golden Star: the Golden Maple Tree.
The canopy-like treetops blocked out much of the sunlight, and the golden leaves trembled gently in the breeze. The extremely rich natural elements gathered and transformed into all sorts of unique scenes, adorning this not-so-large space.
Looking up at the lush, hundred-meter-tall giant tree, Logo shook his head and said, "Hunters use the Golden Maple Tree too little. A large amount of its Transcendent characteristics are actually wasted. The resources they use to cultivate one Legendary Golden Maple Tree can be used by me to cultivate more than a dozen, and their foundations will be much more stable."
"There's no other way. Due to the disaster, the tradition on Golden Star was cut off. It's already quite an achievement that they've been able to develop the Hunter System from scratch to its current scale in just a few thousand years. And they still have to face magical beasts," Lancelot said, offering a fair assessment.
Logo remained noncommittal but didn't say anything more. Instead, he walked to the Golden Maple Tree, took out a sophisticated mechanical device resembling a giant syringe, and while adjusting the data parameters, said, "Extracting sap from the Golden Maple Tree is a technical task. Forcing it will not only damage the tree's potential but also waste a lot of resources. It's like drawing blood from a person; if the method is correct, it's beneficial to health; if the method is incorrect, it will severely damage their Yuan Qi!"
Clearly, Logo's method of extracting sap from the Golden Maple Tree not only did not harm the maple tree itself, but also helped to organize some of its disordered nutrient transport tissues, allowing it to grow more robustly.
After extracting a large tube of the shimmering golden sap from the mother tree, Logo immediately took out bottles and jars to prepare a potion.
Lancelot frowned and asked, "This is a mechanical clone of yours. Can you concoct potions?"
Logo raised his eagle head, squinting. "Are you questioning my abilities as a professional alchemist?"
"Uh..." Lancelot, having been rebuked, had no choice but to shut up obediently.
Logo then let him go, but explained, "Although the mechanical clone doesn't have the Fire of Birth corresponding to the potion's properties and isn't good at concocting potions, your need is simply to change the scent and appearance of the Mother Tree's sap to fool the Crimson Alliance. To do this, potion-making knowledge and material formulation are key. You don't even need the Fire of Birth with the potion's properties to achieve it."
Just as Logo said, the mixing process was easy. Soon, the sap of the Golden Mother Tree turned into a purple bead no bigger than a thumb, with a fluorescent sheen on its surface, like a piece of glass.
"Then!"
Logo threw out the purple bead.
Lancelot carefully took it, thought for a moment, wrapped it in energy, and then tossed it into his mouth to hide it.
"You really know how to find a place to hide," Logo teased.
Lancelot smiled. "I'm going back now. This place is yours to manage from now on."
"Fine, you really won't wait for Walpole to finish building the space tunnel before you leave?"
Lancelot waved his hand and turned to leave.
Watching his retreating figure, Logo instructed, "Don't forget to inform Ashes that the Hundred-Eyed Nether Crow is dead. Put them on the backs!"
"Rest assured!"
Half a day later.
A flash of blue light streaked across the cosmic storm belt, like a meteor streaking across the night sky.
Upon finding the desolate planet where the spaceship was hidden, Lancelot did not immediately board the ship. Instead, he took out a communicator, adjusted the communication frequency, and transformed into the appearance of Feiyue Yilainuoke.
After taking out a mirror and practicing several times in front of it, ensuring his imitation was perfect, Lancelot sent a communication request to a certain number.
Ashes Headquarters.
Star Moon.
In a certain room, a snake-like creature, about ten meters long, whose body occasionally sparked with lightning, was taking a nap.
This is one of the Eighteen Star Pillars of Ashes, the Thunder Star Pillar.
Suddenly, the dimly lit room lit up; it turned out that Thunder Star Pillar had opened his eyes.
As the tail swept across, lightning condensed into a curtain of light.
A red-haired man appeared on the screen.
"Feiyue, is the mission complete?" Thunder Star Pillar asked lazily.
"Yes, sir, the target was killed a month ago," Lancelot, disguised as Feiyue, said in a low voice.
"Then why are you only reporting this now?"
"My subordinates were lured to a deadly place by the target. Including my wife Weiermila, I'm the only one left in the Crimson Shadow."
"What?" Thunder Star Pillar suddenly straightened up, his snake tongue flicking in and out rapidly, making a chilling hissing sound.
"That's just how it is, it's all Fate..." Lancelot's tone was filled with despair.
Thunder Star Pillar noticed something was wrong with his subordinate's tone and asked, "What's wrong with you? You look like you're about to die."
"My lord, after escaping the perilous place, I am utterly exhausted, my soul fragmented, my body shattered. I cannot remain in this state for long before I turn to dust. Before I die, I report the mission's progress to you. Crimson Shadow, you have not failed me!"
After saying this, the Feiyue's body, which appeared on the light screen, began to disintegrate from her legs under the gaze of Thunder Star Pillar, gradually spreading to her upper body.
Upon seeing this, Thunder Star Pillar looked surprised and uncertain, quickly trying to figure out what kind of attack this was, which was so strange.
The collapse quickly spread to the head, and when only a head remained, Feiyue said with a devout expression, "Long live the Ashes! Take care, my lord..."
In the end, nothing remained on the screen of light.
After a long silence, Thunder Star Pillar said sadly, "If only we had more outstanding subordinates like you! Rest in peace, Yilainuoke. The organization will remember your and Crimson Shadow's achievements!"
After his self-indulgent musings, Thunder Star Pillar thought for a moment and then reported the news to his boss, Dark Moon Sylvain.
The task of slaying the Hundred-Eyed Nether Crow was originally assigned to him by Sylvain, but Thunder Star Pillar thought it was troublesome and an overreaction, so he ordered his subordinate Crimson Shadow, to do it instead.
Now that the task is complete, it's time to report to your superior.
On the other side, after giving Thunder Star Pillar a verbal commendation, Sylvain also took out her communicator and contacted Ashes Leader Sun Eclipser.
"Leader, the assassination mission you assigned has been completed!" Sylvain said to the Sun Eclipser.
That's right, the task of slaying the Hundred-Eyed Nether Crow and Arthur was originally assigned to Sun Eclipser by Sylvain Eclipse.
Sylvain had too many things to do, she handed them over to her most trusted subordinate Thunder Star Pillar.
Then, Thunder Star Pillar, finding it troublesome and overkill, assigned the Crimson Shadow instead.
... After countless hardships... the Crimson Shadow were finally wiped out on Golden Star!
It has to be said that Arthur and Hundred-Eyed Nether Crow escaped another calamity without even realizing it. Not to mention the Peak Demigod Sylvain's attack, even against Thunder Star Pillar, the two of them would not be able to fight back.
But Fate is truly wondrous.
Although Fortune is elusive and uncertain, it can always turn the tide at crucial moments.
Over here, Ashes Leader Sun Eclipser, having received Sylvain's report, fell silent upon learning that the mission was complete, seemingly sensing something.
After a while, the Sun Eclipser said, "Understood. I can no longer sense the presence of that Underworld creature. Sylvain, well done."
Upon Sylvain simply smiled without replying. His attitude towards the Sun Eclipser was quite intriguing; it wasn't like a subordinate addressing a superior, but rather more like the posture of a peer collaborator.
The Sun Eclipser seemed to be used to this by now; after nodding in acknowledgment, the projection disappeared.
What this Ashes leader was unaware of was that the Golden Star was isolated from all internal and external communication due to the existence of cosmic storm belts.
Therefore, after he could no longer sense the Hundred-Eyed Nether Crow, he assumed that the latter had perished and put the matter aside, completely unaware of the huge pitfall he had planted.
And this was precisely Lancelot and Logo's plan.
Conceal your strength and wait for the right opportunity!
