Target of Public Criticism

Mineta Minoru, the little grape, kept shouting in the hallway, immediately drawing the attention of the students from Hero Class A.

"Mineta Minoru, what nonsense are you spouting?" Tenya Iida walked out in surprise, with the other students following behind him, equally confused.

Mineta Minoru came running over with tears in his eyes, stammering, "Chiffon... Chiffon is actually a pervert... Ah!"

"What did you say?" Everyone was shocked. Mineta Minoru had actually called Chiffon a pervert. What was going on?

"He was laughing one moment and cursing the next in the boys' restroom. He was even muttering about giving something to Momo Yaoyorozu. Anyway, he was acting really sleazy!" Mineta Minoru shouted. He had to make Chiffon seem like a sleazy creep in everyone's eyes so he could take the throne later.

"Impossible!" Tenya Iida waved a hand. "Chiffon may be a little strange sometimes, but I believe he is absolutely not some perverted creep!"

"Exactly. Chiffon is so strong that even if he liked some girl, it wouldn't be a big deal. What's so surprising about that? I don't believe he'd say something like that either." Mina Ashido spoke up in Chiffon's defense.

"Yeah, yeah. I think Mineta Minoru is exaggerating too. Are you possessed or something?" Eijiro Kirishima tapped Mineta Minoru's grape-shaped head, only for his hand to get stuck.

"Why... why won't you believe me?" Mineta Minoru was on the verge of tears. It was clearly the truth, yet not a single classmate believed him. Was Chiffon really that highly regarded in their eyes?

Just then, Chiffon strolled over leisurely. Seeing everyone gathered there discussing him made his heart thump uneasily, but he still pretended to be calm. "What are you all doing out here?"

"Ah, Chiffon, you're here." Tenya Iida stepped forward. "Mineta Minoru just said that you, um... that you were a pervert. We were refuting him."

Chiffon rubbed his forehead, then looked at Mineta Minoru. "I was watching a drama series on my phone just now, so maybe my talking disturbed you. Sorry about that."

Chiffon knew the little grape all too well. This guy was a lecher hiding inside a child's body. He might look tiny and cute, but his mind had long since matured in that particular regard.

He had reported Chiffon because he wanted to seize the upper hand, so that he would not be unable to pick up girls or admire beautiful scenery in the future.

Naturally, Chiffon would not yield to him. The little grape had quite a few tricks up his sleeve. Did he think Chiffon was an idiot? Trying such childish tactics on him only meant he had picked the wrong target.

"You're lying!" Mineta Minoru said unbelievingly. "You definitely wanted to grope Momo Yaoyorozu!"

Momo Yaoyorozu walked over at that moment, her face dark as she directly hurled the little grape away. With tears in his eyes, he rolled across the ground more than ten times before finally stopping.

"I knew Chiffon couldn't possibly be like that. All right, everyone, disperse." Tenya Iida began directing everyone away, since it was still class time.

Chiffon breathed a sigh of relief. That little grape could really stir up trouble. Next time he went to the restroom, he would have to be more careful. He could not let himself get caught talking to himself and give someone leverage against him.

After this training session, the students of Hero Class A seemed even more fired up. Chiffon and Izuku had taken the lead, giving everyone a passionate, surging feeling, as though they could already see themselves becoming heroes in the near future and judging evil in the name of their own justice.

Though evil was not theirs to judge, they could still stop it. Some things had to be done by heroes, generation after generation, without hesitation.

After school, Chiffon had barely reached the gates of U.A. High School when he saw a crowd of reporters and civilians surrounding Izuku with questions. Chiffon immediately pulled a hat from his backpack, put it on, lowered his head, and headed outside.

He did not want to be interviewed by reporters, nor did he want to appear on television. The League of Villains would be making a move soon, and if they set their sights on him, things could become troublesome.

"Chiffon?" Izuku was already overwhelmed by the questions when he suddenly spotted Chiffon walking nearby. Although Chiffon was wearing a baseball cap, he was still wearing Chiffon's clothes, so Izuku recognized him at a glance.

"You've got the wrong person." After saying that, Chiffon headed straight out through the crowd. At that moment, a female reporter suddenly approached him and held out her microphone. "This student, what is U.A. High School like? What have you gained these past few days? Why isn't U.A. High School open to the public?"

"No comment." Chiffon could not be bothered with her and simply walked around her before leaving.

"Is this really the quality of U.A. High School students?" the female reporter said unhappily. The other civilians were also a little angry. That attitude was awful, and he had even hidden his face. Did he think he was some celebrity?

Izuku stared blankly as Chiffon departed. The wrong person?

That was obviously Chiffon. He could not possibly have mistaken him, but why had Chiffon hidden his face beneath a hat? Was there some hidden reason?

Seeing that the reporters were about to keep pestering him, Izuku immediately slipped away under the excuse of going to the nurse's office.

"Could you tell us what it's like having the Symbol of Peace standing at the podium?" The female reporter thrust her microphone forward.

"Wh-what's he like?" Ochaco Uraraka said somewhat bashfully. "Um... His muscles bulge all over."

"What are your thoughts on All Might as a teacher?" The female reporter turned to Tenya Iida.

Tenya Iida answered very seriously, "It has made me even more clearly aware that I am studying at this foremost institution. His dignity and style need no further explanation, and he also has a humorous side."

"As students, we are often able to witness his many admirable qualities. This is undoubtedly an excellent opportunity for us to directly learn how a top hero is forged." Tenya Iida became more animated as he spoke, but the reporters seemed less and less interested. What kind of person was this? How could he talk so much?

"Sorry to interrupt, but regarding All Might... Huh?" The female reporter was chasing after Bakugo Katsuki when she suddenly remembered something. "You're the one from the Sludge Incident—"

"Shut up!" Bakugo Katsuki said through gritted teeth.

In the end, the reporters questioned Shota Aizawa as well, only to be mocked for being dirty. Shota Aizawa did not pay much attention to them.

Still, the reporters were unwilling to let it go. They desperately wanted to learn about All Might's life at U.A. High School.

In the end, U.A. High School raised the Hero Barrier and blocked the reporters and civilians, finally bringing the matter to an end.

Chiffon had not left. He watched everything from behind a relatively concealed tree. Shigaraki Tomura stood at the back of the crowd, dressed in black, his clothes fluttering despite the absence of wind.

He really came. Chiffon clenched his fist. There was not much time left. He had to improve his strength as quickly as possible, preferably enough to share some of All Might's burden.

After all, the entire country now knew about All Might. He would become the target of public criticism for his enemies.
