But Chiffon's action greatly encouraged the class. Wearing an Ultraman Tiga mask and a dark blue combat suit, he stood with his back ramrod straight. He looked unbelievably cool.
Bakugo Katsuki was stunned as well. Chiffon had actually attacked directly? Was he putting on another perfect act right in front of him?
Bakugo Katsuki was about to make a move when Thirteen interrupted him. "Students, please do not act rashly for now. The enemy's strength and strategy are both unknown. My duty is to protect you. This student, please step back."
Thirteen neither approved nor opposed Chiffon's actions, but they could not keep attacking so recklessly now. Judging from the Quirk skill Chiffon had just used, it was indeed powerful, but it did not seem to have posed any threat to that monstrous-looking enemy.
It was clear just how strong the enemy was. Senior Aizawa probably would not have an easy time this round.
"Let the shooting team begin." Although the League of Villains' foot soldiers had been impressed by Chiffon's attack, they were the embodiment of evil. How could they be fooled by such a trivial trick?
"Didn't the intelligence say there were only Thirteen and All Might? Who is he?" A League of Villains member looked at Shota Aizawa with a mocking expression.
"No idea, but charging in alone from the front? What a complete idiot!"
"Quirk, activate!" Shota Aizawa's eyes widened. As a faint red glow flickered, the others lost their Quirks. White capture cloth swept forth and flung all three away.
"Idiot, that guy is Eraser Head, the one who can erase Quirks just by looking at you."
"Erase them?" A League of Villains foot soldier wearing a black hood and possessing four arms charged at Shota Aizawa. "Can he erase mutant-type Quirks like ours too!?"
"No, he cannot." Shota Aizawa dodged its attack and punched it squarely in the face. "However, statistics show that against people like you, close combat is often more effective. So I prepared countermeasures in that regard as well."
"He is strong in hand-to-hand combat too, and he has covered his eyes with goggles, so we cannot tell whose Quirk he has erased." Shigaraki Tomura analyzed. "That severely hampers our coordination in a group battle."
"I see. What an annoying Professional Hero." Shigaraki Tomura began scratching his chin with his fingers. "This rabble cannot possibly stand against him."
At that moment, the students of Hero Class A were also running toward the exit.
"Don't even think about escaping." Kurogiri rose directly from the ground.
Shota Aizawa, however, could not be in two places at once and was unable to support the students.
"Nice to meet you. We are the League of Villains. Please forgive our presumption, but we have come to U.A. High School, the heroes' headquarters, to utterly kill All Might, the Symbol of Peace."
Kurogiri spoke calmly, with a hint of disdain. "All Might should have appeared here, but did something happen along the way?"
"Well, that has nothing to do with me. My task is this." Kurogiri spread his misty arms and prepared to strike.
Seeing Bakugo Katsuki and Eijiro Kirishima rush forward, Chiffon immediately made his move as well. A ball of lightning formed in his palm, and he hurled it fiercely at Kurogiri.
At the same time, Eijiro Kirishima's and Bakugo Katsuki's attacks arrived. An explosion rang out, and a cloud of black smoke spread through the air, obscuring whatever had happened inside.
"Kurogiri of the League of Villains is quite the cultured fellow, but everything you said is bullshit to us!" Chiffon smirked. He knew Kurogiri's weakness. That lightning ball had been aimed directly at it, and he refused to believe Kurogiri could escape injury.
"Truly remarkable." As the black smoke dispersed, Kurogiri revealed himself. He looked toward Chiffon, only to discover that the boy wore an Ultraman Tiga mask, hiding his face.
That brat had injured him just now. It was not serious, but it certainly did not feel good. The lightning ball seemed to have a paralyzing effect; even now, his ribs still ached with numb pain.
"You are very good. I will take especially good care of you." An eerie light shone from Kurogiri's yellow eyes. Suddenly, his body expanded, and black currents wrapped around the students. Only Tenya Iida and the others standing at the edge escaped disaster.
Chiffon did not stop Kurogiri. He could not unleash his full strength here, but if they were scattered apart, he would be able to cut loose.
In the pitch-black space, Chiffon could not see anything. He did not know how long had passed before a sudden light appeared before him, and blowing yellow sand struck his body head-on.
After landing, Chiffon looked around. This seemed to be a desert zone, with ruined buildings lying crookedly all around.
Wind swept past from time to time, stirring up yellow sand that rolled across the area. Chiffon looked in every direction but did not see any Hero Class A students. It seemed he was the only one here.
At that moment, several people emerged from beneath the sand, while another group stepped out from behind the ruined buildings. They were all members of the League of Villains.
"Look at this. This little kid is even wearing an Ultraman Tiga mask. How childish." One enemy mocked him with a grin, and the others burst into laughter.
"Oh dear, how pitiful. You are all alone here. No one is coming to save you."
"Why waste so much time talking to him? Just deal with him already. They are waiting for us to help over there."
"Don't rush. Let's have some fun with this brat first."
Chiffon looked at them as if they were idiots. There were nearly forty League of Villains enemies in this desert area. It was truly terrifying.
Based on Chiffon's earlier rough estimate, the League of Villains had brought over two hundred foot soldiers this time, fewer than three hundred. About one-fifth of them had been sent here. But that was fine. It was definitely Kurogiri's idea; otherwise, he would not have sent Chiffon here alone with so many enemies.
"Are you done talking?" Chiffon said flatly. "The League of Villains made the wrong calculation today. Even with two additional Nomu, you still cannot change the outcome."
The League of Villains members were confused by Chiffon talking to himself. There were so many of them here—was he not afraid at all? Was he really just a child?
"Take him down." Some enemies who could not stand Chiffon spoke up, and three people immediately walked toward him.
"Today, I'll show you what true terror looks like!" Chiffon suddenly roared. Thunder God's Arrival erupted at full power, lightning instantly coiling around his entire body as though a heavenly god had descended.
"What is going on?" The League of Villains members were alarmed. Chiffon's actions immediately gave them a bad feeling. Why was this guy's Quirk so strange?
The three people who had been about to rush Chiffon froze. Advancing was not an option, and neither was retreating.
"Thunder Shockwave, maximum output!" Chiffon shouted. He slammed both hands down onto the yellow sand, and the sandy ground immediately began to quake. Lightning erupted wildly throughout a hundred-meter radius.
"Ah!"
"What is this? Is he really a student!?"
Every League of Villains enemy in the desert area was struck indiscriminately, crying out in agony. Their wails and shrieks spread throughout the entire training grounds.
