Background and History
Awakening and the First Trial
After awakening as the God of Wealth, Su Wen attracts the attention of the highest authorities. Li Wenze gives him a survival handbook before his first Rule Vector Mirror trial, while the Star God personally investigates his capabilities. Su Wen initially has no combat abilities and relies on Wealth Source to improve his body before entering the trial 2 4.
Inside the trial, he hunts coin-bearing monkeys, converts their currency into Wealth Source, and develops practical uses for qi and blood. His early journeys into the future reveal memorials recording his death at twenty-four during a secret-realm expedition. Those same records credit him with founding the Martial Dao 6 8 9.
He begins retrieving future cultivation methods and improving them in the present. The resulting cycle makes him both the beneficiary of later martial research and the pioneer credited with enabling that research 10 14.
Concealed Identity and Changing Futures
The Star God recruits Su Wen into his organization and gives him a mask that separates his civilian identity from the God of Wealth. Police records are handled so that Su Wen continues to appear to be an ordinary person. In a later future, Su Wen discovers that he has survived longer by operating under the identity of the Martial God 25 26 82.
His future investigations expose threats that ordinary reconnaissance cannot uncover, including allied clans betraying the Battle God and coordinated uprisings by Arrow Realms. He uses this information to warn his comrades, bring back cultivation insights and technology, and seek safer outcomes 37 38 82 212.
Learning to Fight Without Borrowed Strength
Although treasures and the Battle God’s Power give Su Wen formidable combat strength, the Battle Master insists that external power cannot replace personal skill. Su Wen spends a year fighting battle figures, initially suffering repeated defeats even at equal ranks. By the end, he can exchange blows with them and has killed one through instinctive combat 360 361.
Rui later spends five years assessing and training his combat foundation. Su Wen also uses Wealth Source to perfect the Battle Master’s secret arts, eventually becoming capable of briefly matching the Ninth Epoch Battle God at equal strength without outside assistance or ultimate moves 482 636.
Appearance
- God of Wealth mask: Conceals his face and protects information about his identity, aura, and physical strength 25.
- Divine attire: Appears in a golden robe, golden crown, and golden divine boots when revealing his identity to the Third Epoch’s God of Wealth 705.
- Battle robes: Can alter their appearance to match local clothing during journeys to other eras 704.
- Dark-gold qi and blood: His qi-and-blood power settles into this color during his advancement to Emperor Rank Limit 496.
Personality
Su Wen approaches danger through worst-case planning. During his first trial, he decides whether to fight by asking whether he can bear the worst possible outcome. He retreats when his blood qi warns him of danger and refuses to mistake a sudden increase in strength for invulnerability 8 10 18.
His caution can also produce mistaken judgments. After an alarming encounter with a future Wind God, he initially suspects his comrade of treachery. He later questions that conclusion and recognizes how little he understood when he first awakened 17 40 531.
Recognition from his countrymen affects him deeply: a coordinated military salute moves him more immediately than written accounts of his future achievements. His concern for companions also drives him to investigate their deaths and help them avoid disasters 37 38 60.
Repeated catastrophic futures make him increasingly ruthless toward enemies. He records enemies encountered in Sub-Space-Time as enemies of the Main Space-Time as well, and he explicitly rejects the idea that dignity should take priority over securing the future. Nevertheless, he can revise his conduct: after learning that matchmaking based on alternate futures may make people miserable, he agrees to leave the Wind God’s romantic choices alone 420 441 502 811.
Su Wen treats money with a mixture of calculation and humor. He complains about being broke despite being the God of Wealth, measures borrowed combat power in Wealth Source spent per second, and takes genuine pleasure in watching his reserves increase 17 259 811.

Wealth Flows In and Wealth Source Enhancement
His innate talent gathers the power of wealth, while his attribute panel allows Wealth Source to accelerate cultivation and improve techniques 4.

- Scaling demand: His early growth already makes him worry that national money-printing capacity would not keep pace with his needs 18.
Wealth Disrupts Space-Time

- Qi-and-blood projectiles: Fires controllable bullets from his fingertips using the Qi and Blood Resonance Technique 17.
- Sealing techniques: Creates a martial technique for restraining captives, supplemented by the magic book’s thirty-six sealing spells 268.

- Phantom Beast techniques: Learns fusion, adjustment, transformation, and sublimation from the Battle Master 454.
Wealth-Based Combat Enhancements
His principal combat enhancements can stack, rewarding different forms of wealth accumulation and expenditure 496.

- Threefold Transcendence raises his physical body, soul, and true spirit together 825 826.

Story Role / Major Arcs
Founding the Martial Dao
Future records credit Su Wen’s Basic Body Tempering Method with opening cultivation to ordinary people and improving Heavenly Mandate Bearers’ trial survival rates. His introduction of version 1.0 and Tiger Fist establishes both systematic body tempering and martial techniques 9 14.
His work continues beyond the earliest methods. He demonstrates specialized body-tempering approaches and later creates Basic Body Tempering Method 4.0, breaking the world’s Fourth Rank martial bottleneck 66 212.
The God of Wealth Army and Civil War
In one future, Su Wen discovers a devastated Huaxia and soldiers fighting to resist the God of Wealth’s tyranny. He subsequently learns that the God of Wealth leads one army while the Battle God leads the resistance 340 346.
When the Battle God asks how to resolve the resulting blood feud, Su Wen states that he has a solution. The Battle God immediately suspects a deeper application of space-time power 355.
Family Assassinations and Revenge
Su Wen initially infers from the publication of his real name that his protected family and social connections may have been destroyed. In Sub-Space-Time No. 02, the Star God confirms that a traitor exposed his identity after his death, leading to assassinations and curses against his family, friends, and classmates 152 535.
He spends three months exterminating the emerged Arrow Realm races in that future, sparing the Insect Spirit Realm, and regards the campaign as vengeance for his parents. Back in the Main Space-Time, he declines the Star God’s offer to repeat the slaughter, saying he has already avenged them in that timeline 537 544.
The Remnant Clan and Earlier Epochs
Su Wen interprets the Remnant Clan’s increasingly direct attempts to kill him as evidence of progress: enemies who once could eliminate him through minor expeditions now need far greater measures 461.
He also protects the Star God’s covert infiltration of the Remnant Clan. When the Star God becomes its High Priest, Su Wen publicly orders a universal manhunt while privately preserving the deception 597.
His search for resources expands into earlier epochs and the Land of Void. He gathers legacies left by the Fourth through Eighth Epochs—including twelve trillion Wealth Source from the Fourth—and awakens earlier soldiers, retaining those below God King level to strengthen them before deployment 704 751.
Transcendence and the Final Conflict
A distant future brings Su Wen face-to-face with a Chaos Demon who claims to have delayed the universe’s destruction to observe his development. The encounter reveals a threat beyond the wars he has already been fighting 784.
After Threefold Transcendence, Su Wen overwhelms the Current Battle God in a spar through sheer superiority of body, soul, and true spirit, without weapons or divine abilities. He later unleashes power that fractures the Remnant Clan Universe and chooses to refine it rather than waste its value 828 839.
His strength finally allows him to return openly to his parents after a hundred years in the Main Space-Time. The finale then resolves the origin of his advantages: Sycee and Luobao are the future River of Space-Time and River of Fate, and his extraordinary circumstances arise from both his future self’s assistance and the hope of chaos 834 849.
