The convoy did not stop to rest after emerging from the mist.

Everyone wanted to get as far away from it as possible.

The oppressive presence of the enormous monster in the mist had been far too powerful.

But one Wuling minivan in the convoy did something unexpected.

Instead of continuing slowly along with the convoy, it came to an abrupt stop by the roadside.

Zhao Xin parked the van and hurried to check on her brother.

He was still lying in the aisle inside the van.

Blood streamed from his eyes, ears, nose and mouth, his body twitched, and he was barely conscious.

"Brother, brother! How are you? Don't scare me!"

Her voice thick with tears, Zhao Xin kept patting Zhao Xing.

She couldn't understand why her brother had suddenly become like this when he had been perfectly fine.

But no matter how she called him, Zhao Xing did not respond.

Zhao Xin finally began to panic.

She started the van and floored the accelerator. The legendary Wuling erupted with terrifying power, overtaking more than a dozen vehicles as it raced toward the group of extraordinary people up ahead.

"Damn it, why are you driving so fast? In a hurry to get reincarnated?"

"What are the Zhao siblings doing?"

"They dare go over to the extraordinary people? Aren't they afraid of causing trouble?"

Zhao Xin's actions set many people in the convoy talking.

Zhao Xin could no longer worry about potentially angering the extraordinary people. She had only one thought now: saving her brother.

The legendary Wuling drove all the way to Chen Fan's RV.

Zhao Xin didn't know which extraordinary person to ask. Remembering that they belonged to the Mortal Convoy, she went straight to their captain, Chen Fan.

With the minivan alongside the RV, Zhao Xin rolled down her window and shouted, "Captain, could you help us? My brother suddenly collapsed in the mist just now, and he's been unconscious ever since. He's in so much pain. Please save him!"

Inside the RV, Chen Fan heard Zhao Xin's cries.

He frowned. He hadn't wanted to get involved. There were hundreds of survivors behind them, and if everyone came to him whenever they ran into trouble, he wouldn't have time to do anything else.

As the saying went, tough out a minor illness; a major one needed no treatment.

If something was wrong with their bodies, they should find somewhere to hide and heal themselves. Why come to him? He wasn't a doctor.

Even so, he instinctively scanned the inside of the Wuling with his telekinesis.

His telekinesis could now cover a twenty-meter radius, and its strength was four times that of an ordinary adult.

It could already do a great many things.

For example-

Chen Fan opened the RV door and used his telekinesis to lift himself into the air.

With both vehicles still moving, he flew over to the side of the minivan.

After opening the door with his telekinesis, he floated inside.

Witnessing an extraordinary person use their powers firsthand was truly astonishing.

Zhao Xin was still driving, and the sight of Chen Fan floating left her somewhat dumbstruck.

Although Chen Fan was her convoy's captain, this was the first time Zhao Xin had met him face-to-face.

He really was like a god or an immortal...

She had heard before that their captain was an immortal, and now she could see that it really was true...

Chen Fan entered the minivan and frowned at Zhao Xing, who was lying in the aisle.

He hadn't wanted to get involved, but when he covered the area with his telekinesis, he sensed a special energy fluctuation radiating from Zhao Xing's body.

It seemed Zhao Xing was awakening extraordinary powers.

There was a special energy within extraordinary people, and it was the key to their ability to deal with the uncanny.

Ordinary people could not sense it, however, and even extraordinary people could not sense this special energy in one another.

Only those with special sensory abilities might be able to detect it.

Chen Fan could feel the energy because he had covered the area around Zhao Xing with his telekinesis.

His telekinesis permeated every gap and detected the finest details, allowing it to sense the energy fluctuations spilling from Zhao Xing's body.

It was like a thin veil with an extraordinarily fine mesh catching the faintest trace of a cool breeze in the stifling, motionless air of a summer day.

After entering the van, Chen Fan examined Zhao Xing. Zhao Xin turned around and stared blankly at him, then came to her senses and said anxiously, "Captain, sorry for the trouble. Please save my brother."

His telekinesis straightened the steering wheel, which had already veered off course.

Chen Fan said, "Watch the road!"

Only then did Zhao Xin realize that when she had turned around, the van had nearly crashed into Chen Fan's RV.

Startled, she hurriedly sat up straight and kept her eyes on the road, looking back through the rearview mirror only occasionally.

Chen Fan asked, "What happened in the mist?"

Zhao Xin hurriedly said, "Everything was fine at first. We were driving nervously, afraid of falling behind. Then we saw that enormous monster. I saw it first and told my brother to look..."

Guilt entered Zhao Xin's voice. "If I'd known, I shouldn't have told him to look too. Then he might have been all right..."

"Stick to the point!" Chen Fan reminded her impatiently.

"Oh, right... Then my brother took just one look, let out a scream of pain, and collapsed..."

After listening to Zhao Xin, Chen Fan surmised that Zhao Xing might have awakened extraordinary powers after being stimulated.

But the situation seemed a little different. He had never heard of someone bleeding from their eyes, ears, nose and mouth and falling unconscious while awakening extraordinary powers.

Chen Fan didn't really have many options. He could only try giving Zhao Xing some purified water and see if it eased his pain.

The Water Purification Bottle appeared in his hand. He drew out a stream of clear blue liquid and poured it into Zhao Xing's mouth.

Zhao Xin's eyes widened as she saw this in the rearview mirror.

Chen Fan said, "My purified water can heal some injuries to the human body. It should do him some good. As for whether he wakes up afterward, that's up to his own luck."

With that, Chen Fan waved his hand, opened the door and used his telekinesis to fly back to the RV.

Only then did Zhao Xin come to her senses and hurriedly call out to the RV, "Thank you, Captain!"

She then looked at her brother in the rearview mirror and saw that after Zhao Xing had taken the purified water, his pain-twisted face seemed to have relaxed somewhat.

His body had also stopped twitching.

Most of Zhao Xin's worry finally lifted. She looked toward Chen Fan's RV, her eyes full of gratitude.

She then slowed the legendary Wuling and returned to the group of survivors.

After traveling some distance from the mist, the sky began to darken, and night was drawing near.

Wang Bing made another divination and found a safe area by the road.

It was a grove of dead trees.

Before the apocalypse, it must have been lush and green.

Now most of the trees in the grove had died, leaving the woodland open and sparse.

Only a handful of trees had survived, and even those had mutated.

Their trunks and branches had become twisted, and their leaves had nearly all fallen. The few remaining leaves hung sparsely from the gnarled branches, their veins an uncanny red. They were nothing like they had been before the apocalypse.

Besides finding a campsite where they could rest, Wang Bing also divined that they would encounter another convoy that night.

That convoy would be traveling at night and would eventually take a liking to the same campsite. They would set up camp not far away and spend the night alongside them.

Wang Bing divined that their attitude would be friendly.

Even so, Chen Fan and the others quietly grew somewhat wary.

The convoy finally stopped to rest. Exhausted and frightened by everything that had happened during the day, many survivors hastily ate a little food before crawling into sleeping bags and tents and falling fast asleep.

Most of them were utterly exhausted.

Chen Fan, on the other hand, was doing all right. He usually had someone else drive.

Even during those twenty-six hours of nonstop travel, he had taken turns driving with the others.

So he wasn't very tired.

It was only eight in the evening, still early to rest.

After telling Rongrong and the others to prepare some food, Chen Fan waited for the convoy Wang Bing had divined would appear during the night.

Under the cover of night, the convoy was pitch-black, with only a few scattered lights.

Suddenly, a dazzling white light burst from one of the Wuling vans in the convoy.

White light streamed out through the Wuling's windows, making the van look like a broken wooden bucket that couldn't hold water.

The entire camp was briefly illuminated by the white light.
