Chen Ze suddenly noticed something in his field of vision.

He clicked on the achievements in the upper right corner, and a huge chart appeared before him, covered in all kinds of achievements.

What's this?

Wood, stone, pickaxes, iron ore...

Huh? Could all these things exist in this world?

Chen Ze couldn't quite make sense of it until he spotted the inventory at the bottom of his vision and opened it. Countless items made of blocks appeared on the right.

He clicked on one at random, and its crafting recipe appeared.

Crafting Table: crafted from four wooden planks. (clamor)

Wooden planks? How do I get those?

With that in mind, he walked up to a tree and reached out to touch it. A striking sound rang out.

Do I have to keep clicking?

"Doo doo doo doo doo~"

After Chen Ze kept touching the tree, a block in its middle suddenly disappeared, turning into a small object that was drawn toward him.

The object also appeared in the inventory at the bottom of his vision.

He quickly opened his inventory and saw the item's name.

[Oak]

A recipe for crafting an item from oak appeared in the crafting list on the right.

At that moment, Chen Ze suddenly felt that this game seemed... kind of interesting.

In the livestream, some of the smarter viewers had already gotten a rough idea of how the game worked after seeing that.

[Brother Ze, try dragging that oak into those four slots at the top.]

[Yeah, yeah! Looks like you can craft things in this game and then use them.]

[This looks kind of interesting. I've never seen anything like this in another game.]

[Hurry up, Brother Ze. Boss Dan in the other stream has already crafted a Crafting Table, and he's getting ready to see what's underground.]

In Dan King's livestream.

By now, the viewer count had already surpassed a hundred thousand. When he normally took advertising gigs, he only had around forty or fifty thousand viewers. He hadn't expected to break a hundred thousand this time, matching his usual livestream numbers.

Lü Zhenghao put one leg up on his stool and shouted at the livestream, "Hang on, brothers. Watch me dig straight down to the depths."

"I'm digging right here!"

With that, he began wildly hacking away at the ground.

On-screen, his view gradually grew darker and darker until he couldn't see anything.

But the sounds in his ears told him he was still digging downward.

He looked up and could still see the blue sky far above, proving he was still digging downward.

Lü Zhenghao got fired up and dug with all his might.

Then a sound came from his headphones.

"Thud~ bang~"

He seemed to have fallen somewhere, and he could dimly make out that he had entered some kind of space.

"Where the heck am I?"

While he was still dazed, a series of low zombie growls reached his ears.

"Huh... huh..."

The sounds grew more urgent until they suddenly rose into loud cries, followed by the sound of him being struck.

"Hroar! Hroar!"

"Aow!"

His own cry rang out.

"What the hell is going on?"

"This is freaking wild!"

A few seconds later, he stared dumbfounded at the black screen.

"There are zombies in this too?"

Lü Zhenghao was dumbfounded. How were there zombies underground?

The number of viewers in his livestream kept rising, and they were all shocked too.

[Holy crap, there are zombies in underground caves. So this is what hard mode is really like.]

[That does it, I have to download it. This looks way too exciting.]

[Bro, zombies aren't just underground. They spawn around you when it gets dark.]

[No need to be afraid of zombies. I've already made a Stone Sword to attack them.]

At that moment, a discussion about strategies for Minecraft rapidly sprang up in the livestream.

Meanwhile, Chen Ze was still studying the game in his own livestream.

He had already made a Crafting Table and was ready to put his skills to use building himself a little wooden cabin.

Looking at the crafting recipes on the right, he found something called a wooden axe.

Would this axe make chopping trees faster?

With that thought, he dragged over sticks and wooden planks and crafted a wooden axe. He took a few practice swings with it, then started chopping at a tree.

He soon finished chopping down the tree and discovered that the wooden axe really did chop faster than his hands.

After chopping down tree after tree, he felt he had enough wooden planks to build a small cabin.

He then went to a flat spot and began building his little house.

He looked at the fairly wide, flat ground before him and fell into thought...

What kind should I build? What did a house look like again?

Whatever, I'll start with four walls. I'll worry about the roof later.

Having made up his mind, Chen Ze held his wooden planks and began building the walls around him. What he didn't notice, however, was that the sky seemed to be gradually growing dark.

Only when the last ray of sunlight disappeared did he look around in confusion.

"It gets dark too?"

Just as he was standing there in a daze, a roar sounded not far from him. He turned and saw that a figure had appeared inside his house.

What's that?

Chen Ze was about to check the chat for information when the thing charged straight at him. It hit him once, knocking off one and a half stars and giving him a fright.

"Holy crap!"

Chen Ze let out a shout. Just as he was about to run, several more zombies came from nearby and surrounded him. Under their relentless attacks, Chen Ze fell to the ground.

That was everything he had gathered all day, and just like that, it was all gone.

He hadn't even finished building his cabin, and how could these zombies trespass? This was his house, not theirs.

After respawning, Chen Ze looked at his empty hands. He was utterly despondent.

[Brother Ze, listen to me. Quickly dig down three blocks, then fill in one block above your head. We'll come back out in the morning.]

[Hahaha, Dan in the other stream has already been chased by zombies and died several times on the plains.]

[Nvliu's the smart one. She didn't even turn on hard mode; she picked creative mode. She's already built a sky cabin.]

[Holy crap, Newton really can't stay in his coffin now. Building a house in the sky?]

[I hereby declare that physics doesn't exist here.]

[Does anyone really play a game like this?]

Chen Ze glanced at the chat and obediently dug three blocks into the ground, then filled in the space above his head.

It was a little dark, but hearing the zombies outside gave him an inexplicable sense of security.

A few minutes later, the zombie cries outside disappeared. He carefully dug open the space above his head and saw that the sky had brightened.

"Damn, guys, this game is freaking intense."

"Today I'm definitely going to finish my roof, then figure out a way to light up the house."

With that, Chen Ze hurried over to where his cabin stood.

The cabin was square, with a wooden plank wall on each of its four sides. He hadn't managed to build the roof yet.

Looking at the work he was so pleased with, Chen Ze said proudly, "Guys, isn't my house awesome? It's definitely a fully furnished home."
