An unexpected outcome
"Ancestor, we've brought the person."
Outside the ancestral temple, the high priest spoke respectfully.
Han Ping remained completely indifferent, showing no interest in what was actually inside the ancestral temple.
"Let him in. All of you, step back. No one is to approach the ancestral temple without my order."
A majestic voice echoed from within the ancestral temple.
"Promise."
Although the priests did not know what the patriarch was going to do, they still respectfully withdrew.
Only the Temple Keeper Su, gave Han Ping a complicated look.
Han Ping walked into the temple at a leisurely pace, completely unconcerned about what kind of place was inside.
Even if the opponent is strong, they can't possibly be more powerful than Master.
How could such a being possibly hide in this tiny Xu Kingdom?
Han Ping entered the temple, and the door behind him slammed shut with a bang.
He didn't turn around, but instead fixed his gaze on the statue, saying with a half-smile, "Are you afraid that I'll beat you up and you don't want outsiders to see it?"
"No, I just don't want outsiders to discover my true identity."
A chilling voice emanated from within the statue, completely different from the previous one.
Han Ping, far from being frightened by the voice, instead revealed an excited smile, "Interesting. In that case, reveal your true form and let me see what kind of demon you really are."
"You asked for this."
As soon as he finished speaking, a cloud of demonic mist suddenly emanated from the statue, gradually coalescing into the shape of a dragon.
This scene was completely unexpected for Han Ping, and the smile on his face became even more amused, "I thought I could teach that arrogant little fox a lesson, but I never expected to encounter a dragon that has usurped my place here. This trip has truly been worthwhile."
"Snort!"
A cold snort echoed from within the demonic mist, "You mere junior Spirit Nurturing dare to flaunt your power before me? It seems you Human Race have never witnessed the might of my Devil Race."
As he spoke, a demonic aura of the Dao Integration Realm instantly enveloped the entire temple.
The priests who had already left the ancestral temple suddenly felt a chill run down their spines.
Just as they were about to turn around to see what was happening inside, Temple Keeper Su, called out to them.
"If you don't want to die, don't look back. Let's wait until this battle is decided."
Hearing this, the high priest and the others had many doubts, but they suppressed their curiosity and continued walking out.
Inside the ancestral temple, Han Ping felt the demonic power, but his face showed no fear; instead, his eyes shone with excitement.
This subtle change in expression naturally did not escape the dragon's notice.
"Young man, aren't you afraid?"
Han Ping shrugged. "It's not like I haven't seen Devil Creature before. Don't tell me you're just a Dao Integration Realm Devil Creature; even if you were a King and Marquis- level Devil Creature, you'd be nothing more than a chicken or a dog in my eyes."
"Court death!"
A furious roar came from within the demonic mist, followed by a dragon claw formed from the mist grabbing towards Han Ping.
Seeing this, Han Ping quickly unleashed a spell and struck out fiercely.
"Yin-Yang Qiankun Dharma Seal!"
Words became law, and a massive magical seal flew towards the dragon's claw.
The moment the seal touched the dragon's claw, the demonic mist dissipated rapidly as if it had encountered its natural enemy, and was also absorbed into the Yin-Yang Qiankun Dharma Seal.
As the demonic mist rapidly dissipated, the demonic dragon instinctively tried to retract its claws, but it soon discovered that its symbiotic demonic mist was completely out of its control, continuously flowing towards the mark.
It panicked and asked in utter terror, "What... what kind of technique is this?"
"A self-created martial arts technique is not worth mentioning."
Han Ping replied with a smile.
As they spoke, the demonic mist within the ancestral temple had already been absorbed by the Yin-Yang Qiankun Dharma Seal, which grew larger and larger, resembling a giant stone tablet standing in the very center of the ancestral temple, clearly separating Han Ping and the demonic dragon.
Han Ping also saw clearly what was behind the demonic mist; it was only the soul of a demonic dragon at the Dao Integration Realm.
"I thought you were some formidable Devil Creature, but you're just a stray dog without Divine Physique. Since that's the case, then die! Destroy!"
As soon as he finished speaking, the seal emitted a yin-yang light that devoured the demonic dragon's soul.
"No!!!"
A resounding sound echoed throughout the entire royal city.
The high priest and his entourage, who hadn't gone far, trembled at the sound.
A priest murmured, "Could the battle have been decided so quickly? That cultivator has only been inside the ancestral temple for less than a quarter of an hour."
The high priest smiled and said, "It seems our Southern Yin, which is why he was able to suppress that junior."
Only the Temple Keeper Su, shook his head. "This isn't the cultivator's voice, but it's actually a good thing for my Xu Kingdom."
???
The priests all cast curious glances at the Temple Keeper Su.
The Temple Keeper Su no explanation; all she wanted now was to return to the temple immediately to check on the patriarch's injuries.
But when she thought about how that powerful man had come to settle scores with the patriarch, she hesitated.
She gritted her teeth and said to the crowd beside her, "You all go and report that I'm safe and sound. I'm going to find the Ancestor."
"Good."
The priests had no complaints about this arrangement, after all, the Temple Keeper Su was raised by the patriarch himself, and their relationship was something that outsiders like them could not compare to.
Inside the ancestral temple.
After suppressing the demonic dragon, Han Ping casually toyed with a soul crystal, scanned the entire temple with his divine sense, and said indifferently, "Fellow Daoist, why don't you show yourself? Perhaps you also want to witness our abilities?"
"Cough... cough..."
Accompanied by a cough, a middle-aged, beautiful woman with a pale face and a cane emerged from behind the statue.
She bowed slightly to Han Ping: "This humble servant, Su Miaoling, greets fellow Daoist. Thank you for your help; otherwise, my Xu Kingdom would have become a realm ruled by demons."
"Is that so? But I've heard that the demons and monsters in all the states of the Xu Kingdom were invited by you?"
Han Ping asked with a half-smile.
"This matter was indeed done by me, but it was not done by me."
Su Miaoling said with a look of shame.
Han Ping wasn't one to kill innocent people indiscriminately, and said calmly, "Fine, I'll give you a chance to explain."
Su Miaoling slowly began, "It all started ten years ago when I received the birthday gift for the 3000th Emperor..."
"You mean, the previous demonic dragon possessed you, so why didn't it devour your soul and take over your body?"
After listening to the other person's story Han Ping subconsciously asked a question.
Su Miaoling tells a clichéd yet extremely common story: she received a gift box at her birthday banquet, but when she opened it at home, she discovered that it contained the soul of a demonic dragon, and she was possessed by it without even realizing it.
Su Miaoling said, "That demonic dragon has grand ambitions. It wants to refine the entire Xu Kingdom's fortune to rebuild its golden body. I am also blessed with the Xu Kingdom's fortune. If it directly devours my soul, then the Xu Kingdom's fortune will automatically dissipate."
Therefore, it simultaneously recruited demons to destroy the fortune of the Xu Kingdom and refined the dragon of the Xu Kingdom's fortune. If you had arrived three years later, the entire Xu Kingdom would probably be doomed.
