Forging Flying Swords
At the intersection stands a gate with the words "Treasure Street" inscribed on it, and below it in smaller characters. "May every fellow Daoist who comes here return with treasure."
"How tacky." Shen Ge muttered before walking into the first shop on the left and handing over the list of materials he needed.
"Shopkeeper, do you have these items?"
The shopkeeper took the goods and glanced at them, then said apologetically, "Sir, the worst of these materials you have are only second-tier. I'm just a small shop..."
"Alright, I'll go to the next one." Shen Ge took the paper from the shopkeeper's hand, turned around, and left.
After looking at a few more shops but still finding nothing, Shen Ge flew directly to the largest shop in the very center.
Upon entering Tianji Pavilion, Shen Ge saw a dazzling array of items on the shelves to the side: swords, spears, halberds, axes, hooks, forks, and all sorts of Law Artifact. The shelves were also piled high with materials.
"Fellow Daoist, what do you need?" a woman in the Early Golden Core Stage asked as she approached.
Shen Ge handed over the paper directly, saying, "I want everything written on it. I've also written down alternative materials for anything not listed. Let's see how much you can find."
The woman took it and her face lit up with joy. The item on the paper was worth at least 100,000 Spirit Stone.
"Fellow Daoist, please come upstairs with me to rest for a while. I'll go prepare something for you."
After going upstairs, a maid brought over a pot of fine spiritual tea and some snacks, and Shen Ge waited leisurely.
About fifteen minutes later, the woman came up with a Storage Bag: "Fellow Daoist, everything you wanted is here, totaling 103,000 Spirit Stone."
Shen Ge took the Storage Bag and saw that everything was there, so he nodded, took out Storage Bag containing Spirit Stone, and handed it over.
"Tianji Pavilion truly lives up to its Tianji Pavilion. While none of my items are particularly rare, it's quite an achievement that your family could gather them all."
"Fellow Daoist, you jest," the woman chuckled. "Everyone knows that our Tianji Pavilion is skilled in puppetry, so naturally we have plenty of these materials."
During this time, the woman openly glanced at the Spirit Stone in Shen Ge's Storage Bag, and only put them away after confirming that they were correct.
Afterwards, Shen Ge left Tianji Pavilion and found a rental agency. He rented a house from them that was full of spiritual energy, located on the edge of a cliff halfway up the mountain.
Looking at his nearly empty Storage Bag, Shen Ge gave a wry smile and began refining a flying sword.
Spring came and autumn went, and it took Shen Ge three whole years to acquire a hundred flying swords.
Among them are forty top-grade Swordsmanship, ten high-grade Swordsmanship, and fifty mid-to-low-grade flying swords. If people knew about these Law Treasure, Shen Ge would probably be hunted down by the Nascent Soul Realm experts. One hundred swords! That's worth almost five million Spirit Stone!
Now that the flying sword is finished, the next step is to bind it to its master, a very lengthy process that Shen Ge doesn't plan to undertake for the time being.
He still has some bamboo branches and leaves leftovers, which he plans to use, but he's having trouble deciding what to refine them into.
After thinking for a long time, he directly obtained five brooms and ten fans. Only one fan was lucky enough to be Law Treasure weapon, while the rest were all top-grade magic Law Artifact.
It's really just branches and leaves; they're lacking.
Over the next year, Shen Ge refined all the flying swords, but with his current strength, he could only control a maximum of fifty flying swords; he couldn't control more than that.
Even so, it's enough. Now, Shen Ge can loudly tell anyone that he is invincible in the Golden Core Stage!
Although this invincibility relies on external forces, well, who can blame him when he has those external forces?
Alright, it's time to leave this place. But before leaving, Shen Ge plans to explore the area thoroughly, since it's rare to find a city so similar to his previous life.
After leaving the room, Shen Ge found the organization that had previously rented the room and canceled the reservation. He then wandered around, and to his surprise, the security along the way was quite good, with immortals and mortals getting along quite peacefully.
Traveling at a brisk pace, Shen Ge arrived near the Sun Moon River in less than two hours. He glanced at the street selling pills and decided to go in for a look. Although he was currently short of money, he wouldn't mind selling some of the Law Treasure he had previously stolen if he found anything good.
After browsing around, Shen Ge only bought some healing pills and nothing else, because none of the pills sold there caught his eye.
Most third-tier pills are for healing and fighting to the death; I've almost never seen one that can be used for cultivation. As for fourth-tier pills, they're one in ten thousand, and even if they exist, they're only for those two purposes.
He did have a blood-red pill in his hand, but Shen Ge didn't recognize it and needed to check it to confirm. However, he felt that it was likely made from Dragon Blood Fruit.
By the way, the thing he snatched from that small room earlier was a White Tiger wood carving. The material was a bit hard to identify, but it exuded a sharp aura. It was precisely because of this aura that Shen Ge made the move to snatch it.
Shaking his head, Shen Ge flew to the street on the other side of the river. He was quite disappointed with the medicine street, so he wasn't interested in the spirit pet puppet street next to it either. But he still went in hoping to find a bargain.
After a short while, Shen Ge stopped at a stall. He squatted down and looked at the Little White that was kept in a cage, and couldn't help but frown.
"Fellow Daoist has a keen eye. This is White Tiger that was just caught. This Little White has genuine White Tiger blood; its future is limitless," the stall owner said with a smile as he came out of the room.
Shen Ge's face showed displeasure. There's a limit to self-praise; it would be strange if someone with the White Tiger bloodline were really here.
"Fellow Daoist, it's just an ordinary wild beast. You're overpraising it," Shen Ge said in a slightly cold tone.
"That's a bit of an exaggeration," the stall owner said with a chuckle, then added, "But this little tiger really does have a trace of White Tiger blood, otherwise you wouldn't have noticed it, fellow Daoist."
Shen Ge didn't deny it; this little guy did indeed have a trace of White Tiger bloodline, but it was almost completely diluted.
"Fellow Daoist, you are a sensible person. To be frank, this little tiger is difficult to raise, so I don't recommend you buy it. I also have a Black Demon Hound cub in my shop, which is much easier to raise."
The Black Demon Hound a peak second-tier Demon Beast with a low bloodline limit, making it difficult for it to break through to the third tier.
Most Demon Beast only develop intelligence at the third rank of cultivation. At the third rank, they belong to the demonic realm; below the third rank, they are merely beasts.
Shen Ge entered the shop and glanced inside. There were more than a dozen cages, and quite a few Demon Beast cubs inside, but most of them were first or second-tier Demon Beast cubs, which were of no use to him.
However, it was the golden shaded kitten that looked a bit like a tabby cat that piqued Shen Ge's interest.
The stall owner, a shrewd man, noticed Shen Ge's interest in the kitten and immediately explained, "Fellow Daoist, this is a cub of Golden Wildcat, one of the more powerful second-tier Demon Beast. It's also docile and easy to raise; you only need to feed it meat. It's very suitable as a pet, and those female Daoists seem to like it quite a bit."
"How many Spirit Stone are there in total for this kitten and the Little White by the door?" Shen Ge asked.
Hearing this, the stall owner became even more enthusiastic, his smile almost overflowing, "Not expensive at all, only 1,500 Spirit Stone. The kitten is 500 Spirit Stone, the Little White is 700 Spirit Stone, and the remaining 300 spirit Spirit Stone are for the spirit beast pouch."
Shen Ge readily handed over the Spirit Stone and then left with the two little ones.
