A Senior's Legacy
Shen Ge made his way to the very center, where he sensed a subtle yet powerful aura, mixed with a hint of bloodthirsty brutality.
It seems we've found the strongest person here.
Shen Ge smiled and headed towards the location of that aura.
A moment later, a terrifying and violent aura suddenly swept across the world, and countless ghosts knelt down in fear, causing the Yin Qi in the world to become much denser.
Zhu Xiu and the City Lord Xue both changed their expressions slightly, and without the slightest hesitation, they fled this space.
Shen Ge, who had provoked this aura, was now calmly watching the churning black mist in front of him.
A few breaths later, the black mist stopped churning, and a ferocious demon with a blue face, fangs, red hair on its upper body, and a tiger skin around its lower body appeared, exuding a violent and savage aura.
His eyes, like copper bells, flashed red light as he stared fiercely at Shen Ge, his voice like thunder. "Little thing, do you really think I'm afraid of you?!"
"I had no intention of provoking you, yet you dare to be so reckless!"
Having said that, a wisp of Yin Qi rushed straight towards Shen Ge, seemingly intending to kill him.
Suddenly, a pitch-black door opened behind Shen Ge, and a slender, delicate hand directly blocked the ghostly energy. At the same time, a chaotic and disordered ghostly energy completely blocked the violent aura.
"Kid, you've got some skills!"
That violent aura vanished in the blink of an eye, as if it had never existed.
The Ghost King looked at Shen Ge with a hint of apprehension, or rather, at the dark door behind Shen Ge.
"Boy, who are you?" the ghost king asked.
"Senior, I'm just a Rogue Cultivator with no special background." Shen Ge bowed slightly and continued, "Senior, I have a question for you. Do you know about the Land of Samsara?"
"Samsara?" The Ghost King scoffed, glancing contemptuously at Shen Ge. "With your current cultivation level, you dare to explore the secrets of Samsara? You're truly courting death."
"Judging from what you're saying, senior, you seem to know something. Why don't you tell me?" Shen Ge said, intrigued.
"Little thing, you..." Suddenly, the ghost king fell silent. He looked at the ghostly figure that appeared behind Shen Ge, constantly changing between male and female forms, and his eyes narrowed.
He was already somewhat reluctant to fight the little thing, and now that a ghostly figure slightly stronger than himself had appeared, he was even less inclined to fight.
"Little fellow, you're quite special to make me feel even a little bit of fear towards you." The Ghost King forced a smile, then said directly, "Since you've come here, you must know who left this Underworld here, right?"
Shen Ge nodded, then shook his head. "I only know that it was once the Daoist temple of a ghost immortal, but I don't know the name of that senior."
The ghost king was taken aback by Shen Ge's words, and looked even more ferocious. "Little thing, remember this well, my master is Wei Weiyang, who ascended to immortality two hundred thousand years ago."
"Two hundred thousand years ago?" Shen Ge murmured softly. If that's the case, that guy probably never saw that ghost immortal named Weiyang.
But Shen Ge wouldn't expose him in front of everyone. He humbly asked, "Senior, please continue."
"Back then..." The ghost king hesitated for a moment, then suddenly said with some annoyance, "Forget it, go see for yourself. Some of the master's deeds and speculations from back then are on the stone tablet in the center."
After saying that, he slowly led the way.
Why did that guy get angry after just one sentence? Shen Ge followed him, full of questions.
Before long, the two arrived at the stone tablet in the center. Shen Ge was surprised that he had not been able to sense the stone tablet, but then the Ghost King waved his hand and the stone tablet appeared in his senses.
"See for yourself."
" In the Land of the Nine Netherworlds, there exists a flower whose flower and leaves never meet. It is drawn to ghostly energy and symbolizes separation and death. I encountered it, took it to the underworld, and named it the Three Lives Flower."
Upon seeing this, Shen Ge's eyes narrowed slightly. Could this Land of the Nine Netherworlds be that place?
The Other Shore Flower actually grow there; could it really be related to the Underworld?
For a moment, Shen Ge's emotions were agitated, even affecting her State of Mind.
"Little thing, what did you see? Why do you look like that?" The ghost king asked in a booming voice, but with a hint of curiosity.
No, you can see what's written on it, why are you asking?
You can't possibly not understand this, can you?
Can't read?
Pulled back to reality by the voice, Shen Ge glanced at the Ghost King before her mind returned to normal, her thoughts racing.
The ghost king seemed to be provoked by that glance, and the ghostly mist surrounding him immediately began to boil, with terrifying and violent emotions spreading unchecked in all directions.
Seeing this, Shen Ge immediately realized that he truly couldn't read, so he said, "Senior, it's nothing, I just saw a familiar name. I wonder if you know anything about the Land of the Nine Netherworlds?"
The violent aura immediately dissipated. The ghost king first glanced at Shen Ge suspiciously, then shook his head and said, "I don't know, I've never heard of it, and I've never been there."
That's true. How could someone who can't read possibly know these things?
Shen Ge nodded, then continued reading.
A moment later, a passage caught his attention.
"Where do the wandering souls go? This question has troubled me for many years, and I never thought that I would only have a slight understanding of it now that I have passed the Immortal Ascension Tribulation."
Apart from the souls who embark on the path of ghost cultivation, it seems that all the other souls will eventually return to the Heavenly Dao.
I have a theory: the soul returns to heaven and earth, and is eventually kneaded and merged by heaven and earth to form a new soul that is then cast into all living things.
This process has been repeated again and again by heaven and earth to this day. I call this process Samsara. All things in the world Samsara in the Heaven and Earth Hand.
To escape this endless Samsara, one must leave this world. It can be said that everything in this world belongs to heaven and earth. When cultivators plunder heaven and earth to ascend and leave, they are essentially taking away a trace of the power of heaven and earth permanently.
The reason why ghost cultivators face such difficulties is perhaps because they are closest to Heaven and Earth. They were already about to be taken back by Heaven and Earth, but they still stubbornly embarked on the path of plunder. No wonder they are not tolerated by Heaven and Earth.
If you, a future person, are fortunate enough to see this monument, and if you still cling to the idea of life and death, I advise you to let go of it, let your soul return to heaven and earth, and no one can stop you.
You too cannot become an immortal.
After reading it, Shen Ge was momentarily dazed, and almost stumbled and fell to the ground.
"The soul returns to heaven and earth... the soul returns to heaven and earth..."
Heh~ Hehehe~
Hahaha~
Shen Ge laughed wildly, as if he were possessed. As he laughed, he lay back on the ground and continued laughing, but the tears in the corners of his eyes carried a hint of sadness.
