Celestial Master Mansion, Abbot, Talismans
I was appointed as the group leader, Shi Jianjun and Li Zhonghua were appointed as deputy group leaders. Our task was to tackle the drawing method of the [Greater Yin Spirit-Nurturing Talisman].
The Joint Special Resources Administration and Recovery Department, the Academy of Sciences, and the Institute of Religious Affairs are recruiting relevant researchers.
On the one hand, they should learn from this "Daoist Master An Ran" how to draw such talismans; on the other hand, the Academy of Sciences should try to figure out the specific principles of these talismans, whether they can be applied to other areas, and whether they can draw talismans with other functions.
Finally, the Special Resources Management and Recovery Bureau will purchase a large quantity of the [Greater Yin Spirit-Nurturing Talisman] drawn by An Ran. We will take the majority of its production, with only a small portion flowing into the private sector.
Specific details regarding cooperation will be discussed further later.
..."
Wang An is currently unaware of the country's specific plans.
However, he was already prepared when he decided to sell the Spirit-Nurturing Talisman and obtain official certification.
Just like last time, it wasn't his An Ran body that went to the official verification site for the effects of the Spirit-Nurturing Talisman, but rather his clone who disguised himself and went there under An Ran's identity.
After careful consideration, we decided to use the Spirit-Nurturing Talisman as a stepping stone for cooperation with the official authorities.
Because of his detailed research, he could not escape the perception of the few remaining principles of magic in the talismanic tradition of the Celestial Master Mansion on Mount Longhu.
It can be basically determined that a small number of Daoist sages were able to draw talismans that contained some principles of magic.
In other words, a small number of exceptional geniuses can learn even a rudimentary understanding of how to draw Wang An Spirit-Nurturing Talisman through study and comprehension.
This kind of talisman is unlike feng shui energy fields or the Heaven and Earth Qi, which are created from nothing.
Instead, it follows the traditions of the sages, without being so shocking. Others will only think, "With these traditions, I can do it too."
In this way, Wang An's role shifts from being a pioneer of a new path to being a successor of that path.
To continue the lost learning of the sages is something that most people can understand.
Moreover, the Spirit-Nurturing Talisman Spirit-Nurturing Talisman both important and unimportant. Even without it, the world will remain largely unchanged.
Feng shui energy fields and the Heaven and Earth Qi have never been discovered, or rather, cannot be understood or verified with current knowledge.
Using this knowledge will produce an effect similar to sealing off a forbidden zone, as well as the terrifying Black-Red Qi that can be generated by the sacrificial rituals of cult organizations.
This all demonstrates that this is profound knowledge capable of changing the world order and even World Creation. Without sufficient power, such knowledge can only be used by Wang An himself.
It is foreseeable that large-scale production of the Spirit-Nurturing Talisman will inevitably be a matter for the state to consider. Relying solely on Wang An's personal output is far from sufficient.
Once a large number of people are able to draw such Spirit-Nurturing Talisman, Wang An's importance and the attention he receives will greatly decrease. After gaining certain benefits, he will also have sufficient ability to protect himself.
Enough to extricate oneself from this vortex and continue to seek a path for the future.
Today, Wang An made an appointment with Daoist Master Zhang Mingqing to visit their Celestial Master Mansion's Mansion and receive their talismanic inheritance.
This time, Wang An visited discreetly, posing as An Ran individual.
According to the original idea of the Celestial Master Mansion, cultivators like Wang An, who could draw divine runes, would have been called True Persons in ancient times, and would have needed to be greeted by the sect leader and high-ranking elders.
However, Wang An doesn't want to become famous or be photographed online, attracting the attention of various forces. Therefore, he specifically instructed Master Zhang Mingqing that he was only there to observe their talismanic tradition.
Accompanied by Daoist Zhang Mingqing, Wang An entered the Long Celestial Master Mansion. As he led the way, Wang An explained the history of the buildings around him.
The Celestial Master Mansion, officially known as the Hereditary Han Celestial Master Mansion, and also called the Orthodox Unity Great Perfected Mansion, is laid out in the style of a royal palace, with a front palace and a rear residence, facing south according to the Bagua (Eight Trigrams) layout.
Besides the main gate and ceremonial gate that he had just passed, Wang An also saw other things along the way.
The tallest building is the Jade Emperor Hall, which houses a 9.99-meter-tall golden statue of the Jade Emperor, accompanied by golden boys and jade maidens, twelve heavenly generals, and behind it, the Heavenly Master Hall, the Ancestral Altar of Ten Thousand Dharmas, and other buildings.
Finally, the two of them arrived at the private residence and garden to meet the head of the Celestial Master Mansion's Mansion, who was also the current abbot, Zhang Mingyuan.
The impression Wang An had of this person was that he had a full Heavenly Court, regular facial features, and a topknot, which was very similar to the one he had seen in the murals of the Celestial Master Mansion.
His aura was restrained, his skin was fair with a rosy glow, his eyes were bright, and his breathing was steady and powerful, indicating that he was at least at the stage of Refining Qi into Spirit.
As for whether he has achieved the Refining Spirit and Returning to Emptiness, he himself has not yet reached that point and is currently unaware of the situation.
Zhang Mingqing introduced Wang An.
"Fellow Daoist An Ran, this is Zhang Mingyuan, the current Celestial Master Mansion of Mount Longhu."
"Abbot, this must be Fellow Daoist An Ran."
The host, Zhang Mingyuan, certainly exuded an air of nobility in his speech and demeanor.
"Fellow Daoist An Ran, the profound principles and meanings contained in the Spirit-Nurturing Talisman you drew are something that even our Celestial Master Mansion has not seen for a long time."
Please stay a few more days, fellow Daoist, so that we may extend our hospitality and exchange ideas. The Talisman Master understands.
Wang An, naturally pleased with Abbot Zhang's polite manner, readily agreed.
"Of course, of course."
After a brief conversation, Wang An suggested that he wanted to observe their talismanic tradition.
They were prepared for this and led Wang An to a side room. The room already had a table with over a dozen thread-bound books. On a nearby desk were various books about talismans.
"Fellow Daoist An Ran, this is our Celestial Master Mansion, the place where all the knowledge of talismans is passed down. If you have any other needs, please feel free to tell me directly, then I won't bother you any longer."
Wang An thanked Master Mingqing for his hospitality and, after seeing him out, returned to his desk.
Looking at these books about various talismans.
Inferior quality amulets include those for peace, protection, wealth, marriage, and academic success.
Also known as mortal talismans, they are most commonly found among ordinary people. Their main functions are protection, blessing, changing one's fortune, and calming the mind. These are now sold in Daoist temples Earthly Dao. However, due to frequent modifications, most of them have lost their core principles over time.
Medium-grade talismans for protecting the home, exorcising evil spirits, dispelling negative influences, purifying the home, and warding off misfortune.
These talismans generally require Refining Essence into Qi to create; they use true qi as an energy source to ward off evil spirits, dispel impurities, protect against malicious people, and avert disasters.
The superior-grade talismans include the Heavenly Gang Talisman, the Grand Duke Talisman, the Three Officials Talisman, the Big Dipper Talisman, and the Mysterious Altar Zhao Gongming Talisman, while the top-grade talismans include the Five Thunder Talisman, the Heavenly Gang Evil-Slaying Talisman, the Capital Heaven Talisman, and the Prison-Breaking Talisman.
All of these require ordained Daoist priests or high-ranking elders to draw. As for the abilities mentioned in the book, such as summoning righteous gods and divine generals for protection, slaying demons, suppressing evil spirits, and opening the Netherworld, these are not included.
Now, their Celestial Master Mansion has no trace left, and no one can draw talismans with such effects. These books only contain some talisman diagrams, but there are no detailed records of how to draw them.
