Lung-Warming Flow-Stopping Pill
There's a trick to getting soup in the cafeteria.
There is a saying:
Don't panic when making soup.
In a panic, everything turned into soup.
One spoonful sank to the bottom.
Start slowly along the edge.
If you use this formula to drink soup, you'll end up drinking only thick soup.
Just after Su Ziyang drank five bowls of soup using this formula, a big thud hit him on the neck, making Su Ziyang shudder.
Are you planning to drink all the soup in the cafeteria?
Yang Tianzheng appeared behind Su Ziyang without anyone noticing.
"Master, are you poisoning me?! I was just drinking soup, and look, it's spilled on my clothes!"
Su Ziyang slurped up another mouthful of soup, a bean sprout dangling from his mouth, and mumbled something incoherently.
"Am I poisonous?" Yang Tianzheng glared angrily at Su Ziyang. "Calling me in the middle of the night, who's poisonous?"
When this was mentioned, Su Ziyang chuckled and quickly changed the subject.
"Master, would you like two bowls?"
"I'm not drinking it. You're just sitting here watching over the soup bucket, drinking bowl after bowl. Aren't you ashamed of yourself?!"
Yang Tianzheng felt utterly helpless with his shameless apprentice.
"Hehe, I'm not drinking anymore. I'm not drinking anymore! Master, what brings you here?"
Su Ziyang put down the soup bowl and chuckled.
"I come here for vegetarian food every day, while you're always going out to eat. The food here is much healthier."
"Ah, yes, yes, Master is right!"
Su Ziyang chuckled and followed Yang Tianzheng outside. He also wanted Yang Tianzheng to see the materials he had compiled that morning.
In the consultation room, Yang Tianzheng finished reviewing the information on Umbilical Acupuncture and twitching of nodules compiled by Su Ziyang. Apart from noticing some typos, there was nothing that needed to be changed.
"Kid, you're really thoughtful!"
Yang Tianzheng expressed his deep approval of what Su Ziyang had done!
"You flatter me! Master, I'm going out to find a print shop to bind it! I won't keep you company any longer, please go ahead!"
Su Ziyang slung his laptop bag over his shoulder, gestured for Yang Tianzheng to do as he pleased, and ran out.
Watching Su Ziyang's scurrying figure disappear into the distance, Yang Tianzheng chuckled, "That kid..."
Su Ziyang bound three copies: one for himself, one for Old Madam Liu, and one for Er Biao.
On his way back with Dada book in hand, Su Ziyang received a call from Han Xixi.
"Doctor Su, are you busy?"
Han Xixi's gentle voice came from the phone.
"Hello, I'm not busy right now!"
Su Ziyang replied in a very serious tone.
"Oh dear? Doctor Su, you haven't forgotten me, have you? Or maybe you didn't save my number? Why are you being so formal?"
Han Xixi sounded cheerful on the phone.
"Haha, no. Han Xixi, I remember. How could I forget!"
"I'm here to see you this afternoon! Are you at your clinic?" Han Xixi said with a smile.
"Exist!"
Okay! That's all for now!
As Su Ziyang spoke, he entered the consultation room, where Yang Tianzheng was sitting on a chair, looking at the "Record of Syndrome Differentiation" on Su Ziyang's desk.
"Master, please take a look!" Su Ziyang handed the book to Yang Tianzheng.
Yang Tianzheng quickly flipped through the still-scented, ink-scented, bound booklet and nodded in satisfaction.
Yang Tianzheng flipped through it a few times, then got up, grabbed a book, and left.
"Hey! Can't I send you an electronic version?"
Su Ziyang watched as Yang Tianzheng was about to leave with the book, and sighed several times, but found it was no use. Yang Tianzheng quickly went downstairs with the book.
"I..."
Su Ziyang was amused by Yang Tianzheng. The fact that Yang Tianzheng had taken a liking to one of the books meant that what he had compiled was valuable, so Su Ziyang was very happy!
It's time to go to work.
Su Ziyang sat in the quiet consultation room reading a book.
"Doctor Su."
Han Xixi knocked on the door and then came in.
"Hello, hello! Please have a seat!"
Su Ziyang quickly asked Han Xixi to sit down.
"What's wrong? Are you feeling unwell?"
"Oh, you're really hoping I get sick!" Han Xixi covered her mouth and chuckled. "My friend, she went to the restroom and is coming right back!"
"Ah, haha. I knew it!" Su Ziyang looked at Han Xixi and saw that her complexion was quite rosy, not like she was sick.
After a while, a woman of similar height to Han Xixi walked in.
"Come, come, Meimei. This is Doctor Su!" Han Xixi waved to the woman who came in.
Meimei walked over quickly. "Hello, Doctor Su."
"Hello, hello! Please sit down." Su Ziyang gestured for Meimei to sit in the chair next to the examination table.
Su Ziyang noticed that beautiful women's friends are usually not particularly unattractive. Han Xixi is a great beauty, and this Meimei is also very pretty.
Meimei and Han Xixi are not the same kind of beautiful. Han Xixi is the kind of standard tall and slender beauty with a good figure.
Meimei is more voluptuous and has a cute, adorable beauty.
"Doctor Su, hello. Would you like me to take your pulse? I heard from Xixi that you're very good at taking pulses!"
Listening to Meimei speak, Su Ziyang noticed that her voice was slightly nasal. He figured that most people with that kind of voice probably had a stuffy nose.
"Haha, they flatter you. Is your nose bothering you?"
Upon hearing Su Ziyang's words, Meimei turned around in surprise to look at Han Xixi, who had brought her there.
"Meimei, don't look at me like that. Dr. Doctor Su really has that skill. You saw my niece today, she was doing her homework obediently. Doctor Su cured her! He's amazing!"
Han Xixi proudly patted Meimei on the shoulder.
"Oh my, Doctor Su. I only said two sentences, and you already knew my nose was bothering me. You're amazing! I have rhinitis, and I've had it for years! It's incurable, and I have to use that nasal irrigator every day to rinse it. It's so uncomfortable!"
After Meimei spoke more, her nasal voice became more pronounced.
After talking for a while, Meimei took out a tissue and wiped her nose, as if she still had some snot.
"Hey, let me take your pulse!"
Su Ziyang patted the pulse diagnosis kit, gesturing for Meimei to place her hand on it.
Meimei quickly placed her hand on the pulse diagnosis kit. Su Ziyang pointed to the Guan point on the middle finger and the Cun and Chi points on the index and ring fingers.
With a light touch of three fingers, like a dragonfly skimming the water, Su Ziyang began to take Meimei's pulse.
It's normal for obese people to have a deeper pulse and thinner people to have a more superficial pulse.
Meimei is generally a bit overweight, so her pulse is relatively deep.
Apart from the slightly better cun pulse, Meimei's guan and chi pulses were relatively normal.
Aside from your nose feeling uncomfortable, you seem to be in pretty good health!
Su Ziyang withdrew his hand from taking the pulse, and while recording the pulse characteristics in the medical record book, he talked to Meimei.
"Yeah, I can eat and sleep well. I've never had a shot or taken medicine since I was a child. It's just that my nose is such a hassle, especially in winter, it keeps running and it's so annoying!"
It's easy to tell from Meimei's tone that this problem has caused Meimei considerable distress.
Have you ever taken traditional Chinese medicine?
As Su Ziyang listened to Meimei's complaints, he subconsciously asked her a question.
"I've tried it. I've tried it several times, but one doctor prescribed a medicine that really worked. It worked for a whole winter. But it stopped working the following year, and my rhinitis flared up again. I went back to him for more medicine, but it didn't work!"
As Meimei spoke, she took out her phone from her small handbag, and after flipping through it, she actually found the prescription from last time.
It's rare to find someone who has been searching for a prescription for one or two years, which is enough to show that Meimei is actually a very meticulous person.
Su Ziyang frowned as he looked at the prescription.
Su Ziyang was very familiar with this prescription, so much so that he would have prescribed it for Meimei if he hadn't asked this question.
"Dried ginger, cinnamon twig, ephedra, white peony root, prepared licorice root, schisandra fruit, asarum, ginger-processed pinellia tuber, magnolia flower bud, cocklebur fruit, and luffa fruit"
Meimei took this prescription, which had worked before. It was modified from the "Minor Blue Dragon Decoction" in the book "Treatise on Cold Damage". The ingredients, such as Magnolia biondii, Xanthium sibiricum, and Lulutong, are Chinese herbs used to treat rhinitis and have the effect of clearing the nasal passages.
Sometimes, when prescribing medication and treating patients, you need to accurately refer to the patient's previous medication history, because the treatment approach you're considering may have been used by others before.
If the prescriptions from those doctors don't work, then you need to analyze whether the overall direction of the treatment is wrong, or whether there's a problem with the details of their prescriptions.
I just examined Meimei's pulse, and her cun pulse was slightly weak, which means that her lung qi was slightly insufficient.
Minor Blue Dragon Decoction is a soup formula that can effectively invigorate lung qi, but Meimei tried it and said it didn't work. At this point, Su Ziyang began to think about where the problem lay.
After thinking for a long time, based on the direction of Meimei's runny nose, Su Ziyang came up with two remedies.
The first one is "Abyss-Removing Decoction".
The second "Lung-Warming Flow-Stopping Pill".
These two prescriptions come from "Record of Syndrome Differentiation ·Biyuanmen". Chen Shiduo believed that nasal discharge was a brain leak, meaning that the inside of a person's nose was damaged and the discharge was leaking into the brain.
Chen Shiduo believed that the disease of sinusitis was caused by "excessive drinking and sleeping in the wind, which causes the wind to enter the gallbladder. The alcohol poisoning in the gallbladder cannot be expelled and thus transfers its heat to the brain." He believed that the disease should be treated by addressing the gallbladder and that the formula "Abyss-Removing Decoction" should be used for treatment.
However, there is another condition that resembles sinusitis, but is not actually sinusitis. Chen Shiduo wrote in his book, "If a person has a runny nose with clear mucus that does not heal for years, it is due to deficiency and cold of lung qi, not brain leakage."
This is caused by lung qi deficiency and cold. Su Ziyang asked Meimei, Meimei doesn't drink alcohol and has a very healthy lifestyle.
Based on Meimei's weak pulse at the cun position, Su Ziyang believed that Meimei should be the latter, so Su Ziyang prepared to use the "Lung-Warming Flow-Stopping Pill" formula.
After thinking it over, Su Ziyang finalized the prescription and said to Meimei, "I'll prescribe five doses of herbal medicine for you. Try them, okay?"
"Okay, thank you, Doctor Su!" Meimei nodded quickly.
Su Ziyang turned on his computer and typed out the prescription for Lung-Warming Flow-Stopping Pill:
Terminalia chebula (8g), licorice (5g), platycodon (12g), calcined skull of croaker (15g), schizonepeta (10g), asarum (3g), ginseng (3g)
The prescription contained very small doses, and it was Su Ziyang's first time using it, so he used it with great caution.
