An Attempt to Treat Vitiligo
Eager to cultivate relationships with powerful figures, Song Li Song Li hastily arranged another meeting with Su Ziyang less than two days later.
Song Li said he would accompany this person to come in person, and Su Ziyang understood what he meant and readily agreed.
When Song Li led the female boss over, Su Ziyang had just seen off some patients.
"Doctor Su, this is a friend of mine. Could you please take a look at him?"
Song Li showed great respect for Su Ziyang.
Su Ziyang cooperated with Song Li Song Li, not showing any particular familiarity with him, but simply nodded, indicating that the two should sit down.
Song Li quietly sidled up to the female boss and whispered, "Sister, this is the doctor I told you about. The one who cured Jinkai's daughter."
Su Ziyang looked at the female boss and found that she didn't have any special temperament. Instead, she was the kind of person who would be lost in a crowd and not be noticed at first glance.
"Hello, let me take your pulse first!"
Su Ziyang had the woman place her wrist on his pulse diagnosis kit, took her pulse, and found that it was strong, steady, and regular.
The pulse indicated excellent health, and Su Ziyang realized that this person had taken good care of himself, indeed displaying the expected "prosperity" within.
"My weight loss method involves acupressure and drinking some herbal tea."
Su Ziyang explained it to the woman, who nodded. "Okay. A miracle doctor recommended by Boss Song is certainly trustworthy. Just follow your method. I'll fully cooperate!"
Su Ziyang nodded, and as before, he sealed the acupoints first, then prescribed ten doses of medicinal tea.
As Song Li and the female boss were leaving, Song Li turned back and gave Su Ziyang an OK sign.
Su Ziyang did not disappoint Song Li's high expectations; this woman lost ten pounds in a month.
This delighted the female boss, who then personally brought Song Li to thank Su Ziyang.
"Doctor Su! You are truly a miracle doctor. However, I have a favor to ask. I would like to inquire about my sister's illness. Is that alright?"
People respect capable individuals. Even though this woman was powerful and influential, after seeing Su Ziyang's abilities, she spoke to Su Ziyang with more respect.
"You said it. If I can help, I will tell you everything I know."
Su Ziyang chuckled and gestured for the woman to speak freely.
My sister has vitiligo, but not much; it's only on her arms and neck. Do you know of any good treatment options?
The illness the female boss asked about certainly presented Su Ziyang with a difficult problem.
However, vitiligo is not a modern disease; it has existed since ancient times.
It was historically known as vitiligo or leukoderma.
The ancients believed that this disease was caused by wind evil, so it was also called white spot wind.
However, coincidentally, Su Ziyang did have a method he could try.
This method was told to Su Ziyang by Zhang Rongyi Zhang Rongyi they competed last time. Zhang Rongyi said that Su Ziyang could try it if he had the chance in the future.
Although he had a plan in mind, Su Ziyang didn't agree rashly. He simply said, "Can she come and take a look? I need to check her pulse, is that alright?"
"Alright, alright!" The woman's brows relaxed instantly when she saw Su Ziyang agree. "I'll bring her over in a couple of days. Um, after you get off work, let's have dinner with Boss Song."
Su Ziyang didn't like having too much contact with this group of people, and he subconsciously wanted to refuse, but seeing the look Song Li gave him, he nodded and agreed.
The woman and Song Li waited for Su Ziyang to get off work.
After work, Su Ziyang followed the two to a small, privately-run villa. The villa was elegantly decorated and quiet with hardly anyone around.
"Doctor Su, let me introduce myself. My surname is Liu, and my name Liu Meilan."
After serving several exquisite dishes, the female owner introduced herself.
"Hello Mr. Liu, my surname is Su, Su Ziyang."
Seeing Liu Meilan's formal introduction, Su Ziyang then introduced himself as well.
"Hey, don't call me Boss Liu, just call me Sister Lan. With your skills, let's keep in touch. I have a few friends who aren't in good health because of work, so I'll have them come to you for treatment when they come over!"
Liu Meilan said with a smile, and Su Ziyang nodded repeatedly.
Of the three people present, Song Li was actually the happiest, because he had achieved his goal.
First, he successfully connected with Liu Meilan by using Su Ziyang's medical skills.
Secondly, businessmen like Song Li and his group had different ideas from Su Ziyang. Song Li believed that with Su Ziyang's abilities, he should befriend some powerful and influential people, which would help him expand his reputation and thus gain more benefits.
But Su Ziyang Su Ziyang's mind wasn't on that at all. All he could think about was how to learn another prescription and how to further improve his medical skills.
After finishing their meal and drinking tea for a while, Liu Meilan had the driver take Su Ziyang back to the Daoist Medicine Clinic.
The next day, Liu Meilan, anxious to get her younger sister medical attention, brought her sister, Liu Meichen, to Su Ziyang's clinic.
Su Ziyang carefully examined the white spots on Liu Meichen's neck and arms, and found that although there weren't many spots, they were indeed quite white and had fully formed.
"Let me take your pulse first!"
When Su Ziyang took Liu Meichen's pulse, he found that Liu Meichen pulse was wiry, surging, and rapid.
The pulse was very hard and beat very fast.
Based solely on pulse diagnosis, Liu Meichen appears to have internal heat and is likely under considerable stress.
Su Ziyang thought it was because women love beauty, and the white spots on their bodies caused them mental stress after contracting this disease.
So Su Ziyang asked, "Are you prone to nervousness, anxiety, and getting easily agitated?"
Su Ziyang got the result right, but he didn't get the reasoning right.
Liu Meichen was indeed nervous and anxious, but it wasn't because of a skin condition.
It was because of Liu Meichen's work.
It turns out that Liu Meilan also works at one of her sister's companies.
However, Liu Meichen did not take on a particularly high position just because her sister was the big boss. Instead, she remained at the head office as a middle-level manager.
Because her older sister is the boss, and because Liu Meichen cares about her image, she is exceptionally serious about her work, which leads Liu Meichen to be very strict with herself in everything she does.
And so it began that Liu Meichen's temper started to become fiery. But under this long-term pressure, Liu Meichen suddenly noticed one day that white patches were starting to appear on her body.
It started as a small patch, but it grew larger and attracted attention. When I went to the hospital for a checkup, I found out it was vitiligo.
Despite their family's extensive social connections and access to numerous good doctors, they have been unable to cure the disease for many years.
Moreover, no perfect treatment plan has been found so far, and basically all treatments have been ineffective.
According to Su Ziyang's analysis, this condition and illness are mostly caused by a bad temper and a tendency to get easily agitated and angry. The heat will burn the lung metal, and since the lung governs the skin and hair, this is why skin changes occur.
"My approach to this illness is a combination of internal and external treatments. However, the external treatments are more complicated, and there's a certain herb that's difficult to find. So, you might have to find it yourselves, as our clinic doesn't carry it!"
Su Ziyang voiced his concerns, Liu Meilan Su Ziyang replied, "It's alright, Doctor Su. We don't have dragon liver or phoenix gall, but as long as it's a medicinal herb available domestically, just tell me, and I can get it for you!"
"This requires two pangolin scales, and I mean raw scales, not processed ones!"
As soon as Su Ziyang finished speaking, Liu Meilan didn't even blink before saying, "Are two pieces enough? This isn't difficult to make!"
"That's enough, definitely enough. We don't need much!"
Su Ziyang was surprised. Could it be that Liu Meilan could bring a whole sack of them?
After receiving Su Ziyang's confirmation, Liu Meilan immediately took out her phone.
"I'll have them bring it to you right away!" Liu Meilan said, taking out her phone and dialing. "Hey, Gao. Have them send that small, fancy box of pangolin scales from my office to the clinic here! Yes, the one in the cabinet in my office! A transparent box!"
Liu Meilan made a phone call, and in no time, a tall man arrived, holding a box of finely packaged raw nail plates, which he handed to Su Ziyang.
Su Ziyang stared at the raw tortoise shell in his hand, his head buzzing. He thought to himself, "Being rich is fucking great!"
Su Ziyang took out a piece of nail plate, a small piece that was even larger than a five-cent coin.
"Let me tell you how to use this first! It's like this!"
As Su Ziyang spoke, he pointed to a white patch on Liu Meichen's arm and said, "Use the edge of this nail plate to scrape this white patch, like gua sha, but don't use too much force, just scrape gently."
"Scrape until the skin is slightly red, but be careful not to scrape until it bruises. If bruising does occur, apply some erythromycin ointment to prevent inflammation!"
Su Ziyang's hands were light and steady as he scraped Liu Meichen's arm in one direction.
"When scraping, scrape from bottom to top on the yang side and from top to bottom on the yin side, following the direction of the meridian. Scrape 60 times, gradually increasing the pressure, until the skin turns red, but do not cause bleeding. Do this twice a day!"
Su Ziyang explained the number of times and frequency each day, and then reiterated the effects of scraping.
After he finished shaving, Su Ziyang handed the nail clippers to Liu Meichen: "You can just shave these at home every day!"
"Oh? I'm afraid I won't be able to shave it properly!"
Liu Meichen held the nail plate, looking somewhat worried.
"Chenchen, how about this? You don't need to go to work. Just stay home and rest. Anyway, there's nothing much to do. You can come back and help me when you're better!"
Liu Meilan found the steps quite troublesome, so she simply gave her younger sister a day off.
Liu Meichen initially refused, but after Su Ziyang and Liu Meilan persuaded her several times, Liu Meichen finally agreed to rest during her treatment, treating it as a vacation.
While Liu Meilan was talking to her younger sister Liu Meichen, Su Ziyang began to admire her.
Generally, when people work in a profession for a long time, they tend to carry some of their work habits into their daily lives.
This is even more evident in some leaders, who, due to their position, spend most of their time managing and criticizing others.
Over time, this habit will carry over into daily life. Sometimes when talking to family members, one will still have to use a somewhat authoritative tone, which will make family members feel uncomfortable.
It can also cause psychological burden on family members and affect harmony among them.
When Su Ziyang saw Liu Meilan talking to Liu Meichen, she spoke in a caring tone like an older sister, without a trace of a manager's tone.
This is what Su Ziyang admires most!
"Doctor Su, I'm afraid she might not do it well herself. I'll just have her come over every day, and you can handle it for her. That way, she won't do anything too gentle or too harsh, and since she doesn't have much experience, it might affect the treatment outcome!"
Liu Meilan gave her younger sister a day off, and then spoke to Su Ziyang.
"Okay!" Su Ziyang Su Ziyang agreed. The reason he had explained things so carefully was that he was worried about patients having to travel back and forth between their homes and the clinic. This would be troublesome for patients, and in the long run, they would feel annoyed even before their illness was properly treated.
Now that patients are actively seeking me out, I can't possibly turn them away.
That's how external treatment works. Based on Liu Meichen's pulse, Su Ziyang prescribed a seven-day supply of herbal decoction for Liu Meichen.
The medicine has few ingredients and is not complicated.
Angelica sinensis, Paeonia lactiflora, Bupleurum chinense, Poria cocos, Atractylodes macrocephala, Glycyrrhiza uralensis, Zingiber officinale, Mentha haplocalyx, Paeonia suffruticosa, Gardenia jasminoides.
This prescription is based on the original Free and Easy Wanderer Powder formula with some modifications. Su Ziyang wanted to use this prescription to relieve Liu Meichen's tense nerves and clear away the heat evil in Liu Meichen's body.
Treating both internally and externally will definitely yield better results.
"I'll have this medicine decocted for you at our clinic, but you won't be ready until tomorrow."
After writing out the prescription, Su Ziyang spoke to the Liu Meichen sisters.
"Okay, okay!"
The two sisters nodded and left happily.
No sooner had the two left than Su Ziyang received a call from Song Li. Song Li certainly knew that Liu Meilan had brought her sister to see Su Ziyang for treatment. "How did it go, brother? Is her sister's illness easy to treat?"
"This is a complex and difficult case. We can only give it a try!"
Su Ziyang's words were quite reasonable, so Song Li said, "Alright, I don't know anything about medicine. Just keep that in mind and take care of yourself! I called you to tell you that the project here has started, but half the credit goes to you, so I'll give you one-fifth of the profits."
"What are you doing, bro?"
Song Li's two sentences completely baffled Su Ziyang.
"Stop joking around, I'm not being polite, I'm serious. I'm not asking you for a suggestion, I'm just letting you know! Okay, I have something to do here, so I won't talk to you any longer!!!"
Song Li hung up the phone immediately.
