Bones
Qi Chu said he was going to a restaurant, he really meant it.
The four people ordered eight dishes.
There wasn't a single vegetable dish.
Su Ziyang and Fairy Li were both stunned.
Mr. Mengfei and Qi Chu were old acquaintances, so he wasn't surprised at all.
"Brother Chu, let's order a vegetarian dish."
Su Ziyang looked at the large table of meat, then turned to look at Fairy Li.
"When you go out to eat, you're just eating meat, right? Why eat vegetables? Go home and eat vegetables. You can eat anything here! Don't worry!"
Qi Chu's divine calculation ability even surpasses that of Fairy Li. Su Ziyang carefully examined the dishes on the table.
There is no beef or fish.
There wasn't a single seafood dish on the table.
The dishes on this table mainly consist of chicken, mutton, pork, and donkey meat.
Lamb spine, lamb chops, chicken meatballs, four-happiness meatballs, braised donkey meat...
"Let me tell you, once we get into the mountains, we'll have to eat vegetarian food. You'd better have a big meal right away. I can't guarantee when we'll achieve our goal for this trip."
If Qi Chu hadn't said that, Su Ziyang really wouldn't have been able to eat more than a few bites.
Qi Chu finished speaking, Su Ziyang started cooking with great enthusiasm.
It has to be said that Qi Chu must be a regular at this restaurant; all the dishes he orders are absolutely superb.
Even though Su Ziyang ate as much as he wanted, he couldn't match Qi Chu's appetite. Su Ziyang roughly estimated that Qi Chu's appetite was three to four times that of his own.
And it was the kind of bottomless pit, because after all the dishes were gone, Su Ziyang noticed that Qi Chu still seemed a little unsatisfied...
"I'm full and satisfied, I won't listen to anyone anymore!"
Qi Chu took out a large wad of cash from his bag to pay the bill.
"Brother Chu, are you that rich?"
Su Ziyang looked at the approximately 30,000 to 40,000 yuan in cash in Qi Chu's hand and said somewhat speechlessly.
Since this meal only costs around 500 yuan, there's no need to spend that much money; it makes you seem like a nouveau riche.
"Ugh! I don't really like using that online payment method you young people talk about. Cash is still more reliable!"
Qi Chu didn't understand Su Ziyang's meaning at all. He counted out six bills and handed them to the front desk.
"Brother Chu, we're out of change. Do you have any change?"
The cashier at the bar also seemed to know Qi Chu very well.
"Ah, I'll remember. Add it to the next meal you come here."
Qi Chu waved his hand and led his group away.
After returning home, Mr. Mengfei asked Qi Chu when they would depart.
Qi Chu shook his head. "Um... I need to take care of something. We'll leave as soon as I'm done!"
"What's up? Want to get together?"
Mr. Mengfei didn't want to Qi Chu. Besides, he was just idling around on a rainy day, so he was beating the child anyway.
"Ah! That works too. Let's go together since we're going the same way. Let's go! I'll pack my things, then we'll head out!"
Qi Chu ran back and forth between the study and the bedroom before packing a large tote bag.
"Let's go! I'll lead the way."
Su Ziyang thought Qi Chu was going to ride the electric tricycle he borrowed from the supermarket at the entrance of the community again, but Qi Chu opened the garage and drove out a military green Wrangler.
As soon as Qi Chu's car appeared, Su Ziyang noticed that Fairy Li's eyes lit up.
Having known Fairy Li for so many years, Su Ziyang still couldn't understand why Fairy Li usually did all sorts of ethereal and otherworldly jobs, preferred to drive this type of car.
He used to drive a Prado, now he drives Land Cruiser, and when he saw Qi Chu's military green Wrangler, his eyes lit up.
Qi Chu put the things on the back seat of the car, then stepped on the gas and drove out of the residential area.
There was a little kid at the door who was so Qi Chu's car speed that he dropped his ice cream.
He started cursing loudly at the back of Qi Chu's car.
"Wow, that's amazing!!!"
Su Ziyang drove behind Qi Chu, constantly sighing in admiration.
"Master, what business did Brother Chu go to take care of?"
Su Ziyang asked.
"I don't know, he's always so secretive, who knows what he's up to? Following him is a recipe for disaster!"
The car drove into a courtyard in a village.
Qi Chu got out of the car, and Su Ziyang and his group Qi Chu behind him.
Qi Chu pushed open the family's door.
"Lao Men'er. Lao Men'er!!!"
Qi Chu entered the courtyard and shouted.
No one responded. After a while, a small bean bun came out of the main room.
The "little bean bun" mentioned here means a little kid.
"Little one, where's your grandfather?"
Qi Chu saw the child squat down and asked.
The child wasn't shy at all. After taking a bite of a pancake, he said in a childish voice, "My grandpa went to see a doctor. Are you looking for my grandpa? He said that someone is here, so please ask them to wait a moment."
"Oh!" Qi Chu nodded.
Can I have a bite of your pancake?
"Cannot!"
When the little guy saw that Qi Chu wanted to eat his pancake, he was so scared that he hid the pancake behind his back and quickly ran back into the house, peeking cautiously at Qi Chu through the crack in the door.
"Hahaha! So stingy, just like your grandpa!"
Qi Chu burst into laughter.
"Oh no, the Bones, where are the Bones?"
Qi Chu scared the child into the house, then turned around as if looking for something.
What Bones?
Su Ziyang didn't know what Qi Chu was looking for.
"Bones went out with my grandpa!"
The child poked his head out and explained to Qi Chu.
"It's alright, I'm here, it'll be back soon. It knew I was coming as soon as I entered the village! That guy has a really good nose!"
As soon as Qi Chu finished speaking, Su Ziyang and the others heard a sound similar to the thumping of a calf running on the ground.
A white figure darted into Qi Chu's arms.
"Hehe. Bones, you missed me, didn't you!"
Qi Chu hugged the white figure and gave it a good rough squeeze.
"Woof woof woof~ Ha! Ha! Ha! Slurp, slurp..."
So the Bones was actually a dog...
Su Ziyang stared at it for a long time but still couldn't figure out what kind of dog it was.
To be honest, this is just a village dog.
But to call it a mongrel, isn't this size a bit excessive?
This thing is the size of an adult Central Asian Shepherd Dog, and even larger.
Its large paws stomped on the ground, making a slapping sound.
Qi Chu was like a treasure trove; he pulled out a braised chicken and a bag of braised beef from his pocket.
After tearing it open, they gave me the Bones.
Even Bones know which are good and which are bad.
We ate the braised beef first.
This can't be described as eating; you're saying swallowing it.
Three pounds of braised beef, gone in just two bites.
The Bones of the braised chicken are already soft, and you can swallow a whole braised chicken in just two Bones.
After eating, Bones calmed down considerably and stopped frolicking in Qi Chu's arms.
Instead, it squatted on the ground, its large, blood-red tongue lolling out, staring at Qi Chu without moving.
