Personality

Qian Renxue is proud, competitive, and initially confident that her Soul Saint cultivation can keep her safe in the Great Wilderness. Losing a stone-lifting contest to the infant Little One forces her to reassess that confidence. Rather than summon her Martial Soul and escalate the contest, she admits defeat and accepts the village's training 5 6.

Her pride can make accepting help difficult. She initially refuses to call the physically six-year-old Shi Yan “Brother,” knowing that she is actually in her thirties. The following morning, she recognizes his generosity, apologizes, and addresses him as requested 13 14.

She is cautious about revealing her origins, pretending to have lost her memory when she awakens among strangers. Her attachment to her grandfather and the Qian Family inheritance nevertheless makes abandoning her Martial Soul a painful decision 3 15.

Gratitude increasingly shapes her conduct in Stone Village. She risks her life to draw the Green-Scaled Eagle away from the children and later insists on joining the hunters because she wants to contribute after living on the village's hospitality 22 23 26.

Her original Martial Soul was the Qian Family's inherited power and a symbol of Spirit Hall. The Willow Deity later transformed it rather than leaving it intact as a separate cultivation system 15 18.

History

Failed Seizure of the Heaven Dou Throne

Disguised as Xue Qinghe, Qian Renxue attempted to seize the Heaven Dou throne as part of Spirit Hall's plan to unite the continent. After the plan failed, she led a retaliatory attack that killed the remaining Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect Soul Masters present and imperial Soul Masters before withdrawing with Snake Lance Douluo and Porcupinefish Douluo. She regarded the outcome as a defeat and vowed to face Tang San again 1.

During the retreat, a rift opened overhead and a golden light carried her away before either Douluo could intervene. The heavenly screen that subsequently appeared over Douluo Continent revealed her fate to her family and enemies 1 3.

Arrival in Stone Village

While passing through a silvery-white void, Qian Renxue's body and clothing shrank until she became six years old. She fell into the wilderness near Stone Village, where Shi Yan found her and brought her back. On awakening, she concealed her identity by pretending to have lost her memory; Shi Yunfeng offered her shelter and assigned her to Shi Yan's house 3 4.

Initially dismissive of warnings about her weak physique, she accepted a stone-lifting contest against Little One. He lifted the bluestone using Bone Text, while she could not move it with her Soul Power. The loss persuaded her to take the villagers seriously and join their morning exercises 5 6.

Shi Yan taught her body-tempering boxing, and Shi Yunfeng introduced her to Bone Text. Although she quickly memorized the runes, repeated cultivation attempts failed. Shi Yan eventually discovered that her Soul Power was obstructing her ability to mobilize essence blood 7 10 11 14.

Changing Cultivation Systems

Qian Renxue hesitated to abandon her Martial Soul because it represented both her family's inheritance and her connection to her grandfather. Witnessing the village children's superior strength and the deaths and injuries suffered by hunters ultimately convinced her that she needed the local cultivation system to survive 15 16.

Shi Yan declined to destroy the bloodline-linked Martial Soul himself, fearing damage to her aptitude, and suggested seeking the Willow Deity's help. The deity answered her request by transforming the Martial Soul into golden runes, removing her Soul Power, and creating a forming Supreme Bone within her body. Qian Renxue thanked the deity and pledged to repay the blessing 17 18 19.

Training and the Green-Scaled Eagle

Over the next two years, Qian Renxue trained diligently under Shi Yan and entered the Blood Moving Realm. She remained dissatisfied with the gap between them, hoping eventually to reach his level 20.

When the village children ventured out and provoked the Green-Scaled Eagle by stealing its eggs, Qian Renxue initially misunderstood their outing as an ordinary adventure game. Realizing the danger, she accompanied Shi Yan to find them and flew ahead upon hearing the bird's cries 22.

She struck the eagle with a boulder and deliberately lured it away from the cave sheltering the children. Using the stone forest for cover, she narrowly avoided its attacks until Shi Yan arrived and subdued it 23.

After the eagle settled in Stone Village, Qian Renxue requested permission to join the hunting party. Shi Yan agreed with the condition that she follow orders and not act independently 26.

Relationships

• Shi Yan — Rescuer, housemate, cultivation mentor, and competitive benchmark. He diagnoses her cultivation obstacle, directs her toward the Willow Deity, and later saves her from the Green-Scaled Eagle 3 4 14 17 23.
