Chapter Summaries

Bao Liang visited Bi Ji to ask how to make a girl happy, then collected the Three-Eyed Golden Lion and promised Di Tian he could deal with the soul inside her and Tang San. He flew with the reluctant Auspicious Beast toward the Hongchen residence, where Xiao Hongchen and his grandfather feared what Meng might do when Bao Liang returned.

• Bao Liang found Bi Ji beside the Three-Eyed Golden Lion and asked her how to cheer a girl up.
• Bi Ji advised Bao Liang to explain himself and prepare a gift, but gave up when he admitted he had angered the girl repeatedly.
• Di Tian brought Bao Liang the rare metals and Soul Bones he had requested and told him to take the Auspicious Beast.
• Bao Liang promised Di Tian he could handle the soul inside the Auspicious Beast and Tang San, if he survived Sister Meng.
• Bao Liang flew toward the Hongchen residence with the reluctant Three-Eyed Golden Lion as Xiao Hongchen and his grandfather waited nervously among strange iron implements and chains.

Bao Liang and the Three-Eyed Golden Lion flew toward the Ming Dou Mountain Range, where she used Destiny Peering and saw a future in which Di Tian died and became a warship for Lan Xuanyu. Bao Liang comforted her by promising to change that future, then teased her about her plan to bite Tang San.

• Bao Liang explained that the Soul Tools below were battle-formation weapons rarely used in the Star Dou Great Forest.
• The Three-Eyed Golden Lion used Destiny Peering and saw the Star Dou Great Forest reduced to a small refuge and Di Tian sacrificed, with his body turned into Lan Xuanyu’s warship.
• The Three-Eyed Golden Lion began silently crying, and Bao Liang realized she had seen a terrible future.
• Bao Liang reassured her that the future could change and reminded her that Tang San must not get his way.
• The Three-Eyed Golden Lion vowed to bite Tang San to death, and Bao Liang joked that she might be rewarding him instead.

Bao Liang returned to the Hongchen residence after nearly a week away, worried about Meng Hongchen’s anger and carrying gifts to make peace. He was knocked unconscious by Meng Hongchen’s harmless sleep-inducing drug, while Xiao Hongchen watched her take Bao Liang away.

• Bao Liang hesitated outside the Hongchen residence until the Three-Eyed Golden Lion shouted and alerted Xiao Hongchen to his return.
• Xiao Hongchen told Bao Liang that Meng Hongchen was angry but understood why he had been away, and Bao Liang said he had brought gifts for her.
• Xiao Hongchen explained that his experiment had destroyed the house’s Soul Guidance Lamps and disrupted Grandpa Jing’s and Meng Hongchen’s experiments.
• The Three-Eyed Golden Lion saw a terrifying white-haired woman through the door and fainted from fright.
• Bao Liang entered the house, breathed in Meng Hongchen’s drug, and collapsed into forced sleep.
• Meng Hongchen put a collar on Bao Liang and carried him to her room as Xiao Hongchen praised her drug and swore he would never get a girlfriend.
