The Substitute Teacher for Kaidō Class
The following morning, at the Shin'ō Academy.
Passing through the familiar school gate, one is greeted by quaint school buildings, with students in uniform moving about.
Looking at everything familiar, Wang Xun strolled along.
Before I knew it, almost a year had passed since I left the Spiritual Arts Academy.
At this moment, Wang Xun, dressed in a death knight's robe, discreetly entered the Spiritual Arts Academy and went straight to the preparation room for the Kaidō class.
As he reached the doorway, he sensed the Reiatsu emanating from inside the house and was slightly taken aback.
Wang Xun pushed open the door and entered. Inside the preparation room, Aizen stood quietly, holding a calligraphy brush in his hand. Xuan paper and ink sticks were placed on the table. His gentle temperament was no different from his usual mild appearance, only with a touch more of the elegance of a scholar.
"Wang Xun?"
"Lieutenant Aizen."
Wang Xun bowed respectfully, subtly observing the other person.
What are you doing here?
"I added a hobby to my list of hobbies because I had nothing else to do."
Aizen put down his brush, gestured for Wang Xun sit down, and spoke calmly.
"I've always loved calligraphy, so I asked the captain if I could teach a calligraphy class at the Spiritual Arts Academy, just to pass the time."
Wang Xun nodded.
Aizen's thoughts were perfectly clear to him.
The so-called calligraphy teaching is nothing but a facade.
The real purpose should be to observe students, select capable individuals, and lay the groundwork for future power.
With Gin Ichimaru's enrollment causing such a stir, Aizen couldn't possibly have been unaware.
"I see. I didn't know the vice-captain was fond of calligraphy."
Aizen smiled faintly, his gaze falling on Wang Xun, his expression suggestive.
"You're very thoughtful. The Fourth Division is very busy, yet you still take the time to teach the Kaidō course."
"It was nothing. I just happened to hear there was a really capable guy among the freshmen, so I came to check him out."
The two understood each other without saying a word, and after a few pleasantries, they soon went out to their respective classrooms.
A commotion could be heard outside the lesson preparation room.
Wang Xun looked towards the calligraphy classroom in the distance.
The corridor was crowded with female students, all standing on tiptoe and peering through the windows.
Even male students passing by couldn't help but stop and glance at it.
That was where Aizen's calligraphy class was taking place.
With his looks, charisma, status, and power, Aizen had every advantage.
In the eyes of the students at the Shin'ō Academy, Aizen is the perfect idol, so it's no surprise that he's incredibly popular.
Looking at my own Kaidō, although it is not a required course either, it has always been unpopular, and the classroom is usually not even half full.
With some time before his class, Wang Xun arrived outside the freshmen's classroom.
His peripheral vision swept across the classroom until he spotted the small, silver-haired boy sitting in the corner.
Gin Ichimaru was wearing the uniform of the Spiritual Arts Academy at the moment, and his figure was slightly thin.
Although he appeared languid and harmless at this moment, his narrowed eyes concealed a depth and sharpness beyond his years.
He paused, his eyes widening slightly, as if he hadn't expected to encounter Wang Xun here.
Seeing Wang Xun nod to him, Gin Ichimaru also nodded in acknowledgment, then resumed his lazy demeanor.
Wang Xun withdrew his gaze and left calmly.
Before long, he arrived at the door of the classroom for the Kaidō lesson.
The classroom was sparsely populated, with less than half the students seated.
The atmosphere was quiet, a stark contrast to the bustling atmosphere next door.
In the front row of the classroom, a girl in a neat uniform, with shoulder-length black hair and a well-behaved and serious look, sat in her seat early.
She held Kaidō textbook in her hands, head down, intently studying.
Nanao Ise looked at the book of Kaidō in her hands and studied it silently.
Upon learning that Wang Xun had joined the Fourth Division and even become the Fourth Seat, a seed was planted in her heart.
It just so happens that she is skilled in the Kidō; perhaps she can also achieve something in the ways of Kaidō.
If I could get into the Fourth Division through the Kaidō, that wouldn't be bad.
Nanao heard footsteps, looked up at the door, and waited for the instructor from the Fourth Division to come in.
However, she was stunned when she saw who walked in.
She stared blankly as that familiar figure walked onto the podium, forgetting even to think.
How could it be Wang Xun?
The surrounding students gradually recognized Wang Xun and immediately erupted in discussion.
The once quiet classroom instantly came alive with Wang Xun's arrival.
Wang Xun walked to the front of the classroom, his gaze sweeping across the room before finally landing on Nanao.
Seeing the girl's adorable, shocked expression, a gentle smile appeared on his lips.
He didn't say much, but simply raised his hand and gently pressed down, signaling everyone to be quiet.
"Quiet, students. I know some of you recognize me, please calm down."
"I currently serve in the Fourth Division, and I was handpicked by Captain Unohana for the Fourth Seat. In terms of Kaidō skills alone, I'm more than capable of guiding you."
"I will be giving today's Kaidō on your behalf."
His voice was calm and gentle, yet it carried a convincing power.
The classroom fell silent instantly, and all the students sat up straight, staring at the podium in surprise.
Wang Xun glanced at the lesson plan earlier; it only covered the most basic things.
He didn't just read from the book or awkwardly recite dry theories.
Instead, he combines his extensive practical experience with the most accessible language to Kaidō the most basic Reiatsu manipulation techniques.
He casually demonstrated the pale green Reiatsu of the Kaidō, the spiritual threads at his fingertips precise and delicate, leaving the students in awe.
Wang Xun's skills were several levels above those of his previous teachers.
Even these students who hadn't been exposed to the Dao for long could clearly sense the exquisite nature of Wang Xun's Dao-returning techniques.
Nanao's lips had been unable to close since just now.
She stared blankly at Wang Xun, who was lecturing with ease and composure, explaining the basics of various Kaidō in a simple and easy-to-understand way.
He gradually became engrossed in listening.
A class period passed in the blink of an eye.
The bell rang, and Wang Xun stopped lecturing and nodded slightly.
"Today's lesson is now over. You may all leave."
The students stood up and bowed, their eyes filled with surprise and curiosity, before leaving in twos and threes.
Some curious students stayed behind to ask Wang Xun questions about the Kaidō, and Wang Xun answered them one by one.
The classroom emptied out, until only Nanao Ise, sitting in the front row, remained.
After everyone had left, Nanao stood up.
She slowly walked up to Wang Xun, bowed slightly, and spoke in a slightly playful tone.
"Teacher Wang Xun."
The teacher was addressed with earnestness and respect.
Looking at the girl in front of him, Wang Xun felt a little amused.
She raised her hand and gently rubbed the top of Nanao's head; her hair was as soft and smooth as ever.
"What's wrong, student? Did you understand the lesson?"
Wang Xun asked softly.
Feeling the touch on her head, Nanao felt a long-lost sense of peace.
Then she said in a low voice.
"Of course, you explained it very well."
"That's good."
Wang Xun smiled, glanced at the sun outside the window, and realized it was lunchtime.
"Come on, let's go eat."
Nanao paused for a moment, then lightly punched him with her fist.
Then she clutched her textbook tightly and quietly followed behind Wang Xun, just as she always had.
The two walked out of the classroom, and in the corridor, most of the girls who had been watching had already dispersed.
The door to the calligraphy classroom opened, Aizen slowly walked out.
He noticed Wang Xun and Nanao in the distance through the crowd, a hint of amusement flashing in his eyes.
