Lissandra agreed strongly with Kaisha's words. She herself had done the same.
After coming into contact with the Void's forbidden power, she had feared being devoured by that forbidden force. She had poured everything into sacrificing both of her sisters, tricking those Void Watchers and sealing them completely beneath the Howling Abyss.
"There are actually humans who want to control the Void? How utterly foolish. Do they not know how to spell 'overestimating oneself'?"
Lissandra's mouth twitched. He Xi's words were practically an insult thrown right in her face, but Lissandra did not dare refute her and instead continued the previous topic.
"In the early stages of the war, countless Void creatures poured into Icathia through massive Void rifts. In the blink of an eye, all of Icathia was contaminated and destroyed by Void creatures.
"Because of the Void catastrophe, Shurima's ruler at the time, Empress Setaka, led Shurima's Ascended legion into a fierce war against the Void creatures.
"That war was exceptionally brutal. Countless Ascended of Shurima died in it.
"Even the Ascended who survived the war ultimately became Darkin due to the corrosion of Void Power."
"Why didn't you intervene to stop that war back then?"
"My power was not enough. Once I left Freljord, my power would weaken. More importantly, I did not wish to expose my existence."
"The last reason was the key one, wasn't it?"
Lissandra ignored He Xi and continued, "There were quite a few capable people in Icathia as well. For example, there was a man named Kieran who controlled the power of time. Through that power, he saved a group of Icathian survivors."
"Wait, who did you say? Did I hear that right? You mean Kieran, the God of Time, Kieran?"
"Kieran probably did not have the title of god, did he?
