He reunited with Xiao Wu in the Star Dou Great Forest, where he began training her and Zhu Zhuqing while pursuing his goal of ending the conflict between Spirit Masters and Spirit Beasts.

• Lan Hong treated Dugu Yan’s poison, gathered herbs at the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, and helped her evolve her martial soul while growing stronger himself.
• Lan Hong left Heaven Dou City with Dugu Yan, investigated a slaughtered town, and defeated the Fallen Ones who had killed its residents.
