The Sixth Sacrifice, Wild Dog
"As per your request, they are ferocious and have basically all eaten people..."
Jia Wa introduced the snake palace filled with giant pythons to Cheng Sheng, as if showing him a carefully prepared gift.
It's clear that he put his heart into it.
Cheng Sheng looked at the giant pythons in the glass room and counted them; there were probably more than twenty in total.
Their eyes brightened slightly.
He had never conducted such a "rich" sacrifice before, with both the quality and quantity reaching an unprecedented top level. Even before the six sacrifices began, he was already looking forward to the harvest of this sacrifice.
This is the advantage of having people and money under your command.
Of course, some necessary steps still need to be taken before the formal sacrificial ceremony begins.
"Well done."
Cheng Sheng turned to look at Jia Wa, his tone gentle, and he didn't hold back his praise.
"Is the medicine ready?"
Jia Wa respectfully handed over a black remote control that resembled a mobile phone, with a dark red button on it.
Cheng Sheng took it and gently pressed the red button on it.
"Laugh--"
With a soft sound, thick white mist billowed out from the ceiling of the Snake Palace, which was connected to the top of the glass showroom.
Soon, the mist filled the entire glass room.
As time went by, the pythons that had been lying quietly inside the glass enclosure gradually began to stir.
"You can stay, but the rest of you should leave."
Cheng Sheng casually said something to Jia Wa, then stepped forward and walked all the way to the glass room. He brought his face close to the curtain wall, almost touching it, and then spoke in a low voice.
"A'rew.. t..."
Strange syllables escaped his mouth, strung together like some kind of evil whisper, filled with a slippery, nauseating feeling, like many sharp fingernails scratching at glass.
The mist sprayed from the ceiling contained a large amount of drugs and female python pheromones, which could stimulate the pythons in the room to enter a state of excitement and aggression.
But that's not enough.
Cheng Sheng wanted to make this top-tier offering even more perfect, hoping that the creatures would fight even more fiercely.
He was now reciting the "Demonic Language" he had learned from reading Book of Warlocks; the incantation was meaningless, and the order of all the syllables was scrambled.
But the magic inherent in the Demonic Language can stir up the evil thoughts deep within the hearts of living beings, plunging them into madness and chaos.
When used in conjunction with a specially formulated medicinal mist, it works in two ways.
Accompanied by Cheng Sheng's "evil" whispers and the inhalation of large amounts of medicinal mist, the giant python inside the glass enclosure gradually became agitated.
They intertwined fiercely, tearing and strangling at each other... driven by primal malice, fighting to the death!
The giant pythons' massive bodies repeatedly slammed against the glass wall, producing dull, resounding thuds. A mixture of murky blood and mucus splattered onto the wall, leaving large, messy patches...
Standing at a distance, Jia Wa witnessed this scene firsthand. Whether he was shocked by the sight of dozens of giant pythons fighting or had accidentally inhaled some of the medicinal mist, his face turned bright red, and he trembled slightly with excitement.
Until the whispers that filled the arena suddenly stopped, the snake battle inside the glass enclosure entered a white-hot climax!
Cheng Sheng's calm voice rang in his ears once again.
"Okay, bring me the blood now."
Jia Wa shuddered, quickly snapping out of his dazed state, and then ran to the side, fetching a large bucket of fresh snake blood...
Black Killing Dojo.
"Cough cough..."
Su Tai sat cross-legged on the wooden floor, facing the courtyard.
"Still no news from Sha Lie?"
He coughed lightly twice, tilted his head slightly, and expressionlessly reached out to gently flick away a few wriggling maggots from the floor.
Songpa knelt not far behind Su Tai and silently shook his head.
Su Tai stared at the lush green banana tree in the corner of the yard for a long time. As he coughed a second time, he spoke again, "When... was the last time you had contact with him?"
Three days ago.
Songpa replied in a low voice, "He just got off the train and called to tell me that he has arrived in Nabang."
And then... I couldn't contact them anymore.
"Cough cough..."
Su Tai covered his mouth and coughed heavily; this time, even white maggots rolled out from between his fingers.
"Send someone to Nabang to find him. Sha Lie wouldn't stop contacting the boxing gym for no reason; he might have run into some trouble, or perhaps..."
Su Tai paused for a moment, but didn't continue speaking. He simply waved his hand vigorously.
Songpa responded and got up to leave.
Only Su Tai remained, sitting alone at the entrance of the courtyard, gazing at the black vat in the empty courtyard, his eyes flickering uncertainly, lost in thought.
Nabang.
Dark, narrow alleyways.
Two thugs with nose piercings, their eyes gleaming and their expressions hostile, quickly followed a hunched man in a trench coat who was walking alone in a narrow alley.
The two men walked faster and faster, and just as they were about to catch up with the man in the trench coat, one of the thugs pulled out a dagger from his waist. But before he could say "robbery," the man who had been facing away from them suddenly turned around.
Beneath the suddenly billowing trench coat, an arm sprang up, accompanied by a whistling sound as it cut through the air.
"Snap!!"
With a crisp sound of throat bones shattering, the two thugs staggered backward, clutching their necks in disbelief, before collapsing limply to the ground, blood gushing from their mouths and noses.
"Whoosh--hiss--"
The man in the trench coat seemed to have exhausted too much energy killing two people in an instant.
He was breathing heavily as he slowly sat down against the wall. In the dim light of the narrow alley, one could see a thin and pale face beneath the stand-up collar of his trench coat.
If members of the Black Killing Style were standing here, they probably wouldn't recognize that the person in front of them was their senior brother, Sha Lie.
Compared to a little over a week ago, Sha Lie had lost a lot of weight. His eyes were sunken, his cheekbones were high, and his once handsome face was now twisted together as if he were enduring some unimaginable pain!
Large drops of cold sweat rolled down Sha Lie's forehead, flowing onto his eyelids and blurring his vision.
The events of three days ago kept flashing through his mind.
--
"Master Peng La said he has accepted the tribute you sent. He will give special consideration to your Black Killing Style at this year's Southern All-Martial Fighting Tournament..."
"Soul Root? Did I hear that right? You actually want to make demands of Lord Peng La? Based on that broken stone you sent?"
Where did this country bumpkin come from? Get out of here!
"Court death!"
"Boom!"
"Ah!!"
Sha Lie's eyes were bloodshot, and he let out a low growl. His twisted face was filled with hatred, resentment, anger, and a trace of fear that he could not shake off.
He ripped open his filthy, smelly, tattered trench coat, revealing horribly charred and festering wounds covering most of his body. The pinkish-white flesh beneath the foul-smelling pus was clearly visible, as if... he had just been scorched by a raging fire.
Every day, every hour, every minute, every second...
It's like being scorched by an invisible flame; new flesh grows and then rots away, rotting and growing back again, over and over again...
Endless pain and torment relentlessly eroded Sha Lie's physique and will.
