• Cheng Sheng learned about the Black Tide and used the Book of Warlocks to perform a Dark Sacrifice, becoming a Forbidden Apprentice after sacrificing sparrows.
• Cheng Sheng trained at the Black Killing Boxing Gym, discovered his enhanced reflexes, and began preparing for the formal disciple assessment.
• Cheng Sheng rescued Song Cai from A Yu and the tattooed men, took their money, and bought a black billy goat for a second sacrifice.
• Cheng Sheng sacrificed the goat and gained the Power of the Ram, which let him unleash a surge of strength.
• Cheng Sheng learned that Cheng Yue planned to live at school while her friends persuaded her to skip class and ride away in a red jeep.
• Cheng Sheng advanced through the boxing assessment and drew Zhou Wenye, who had severely injured another trainee.

Cheng Sheng advanced in the Black Killing Style, gained new powers through sacrifices, and survived Zhou Wenye’s attempt to have him killed. The arc ended with Ruan Wen confronting him about her missing subordinates.

• Cheng Sheng defeated Zhou Wenye in the dojo, and Sha Lie told him he could skip the final round.
• Sulai took Cheng Sheng and the other recruits to a swamp island, where she began their Black Killing Style training among enormous crocodiles.
• Cheng Sheng sacrificed a crocodile, mastered Body Tempering and Spiny Skin, then absorbed an evil spirit in the Black Tide mist.
• Cheng Sheng defeated Blue Dragon Weiji in the ring, prompting Sulai to say his mastery qualified him to become a core disciple.
• Cheng Sheng fought off two Ruan Clan attackers sent by Zhou Wenye and sacrificed them, gaining the method for summoning Hell Plague Flies.
• Cheng Sheng cultivated and tested the Hell Plague Flies, which killed a Menhuo Ox within seconds.
• Ruan Wen confronted Cheng Sheng on a minibus route and demanded to know where her two missing subordinates were.

Cheng Sheng advanced through new sacrifices, built a network under Jia Wa, and hunted down the curse master Wang Shan. After sacrificing Wang Shan, he gained the Control Shadow spell, while tensions at the Black Killing Dojo continued over Su Tai’s preference for Sha Lie.

• Cheng Sheng killed Ruan Wen with a Hell Plague Fly, took her bank cards, and used the money to make further offerings to the Abyss.
• Cheng Sheng killed Zhou Wenye, then sacrificed Sangni and advanced to Body Sha with the [Elephant Soul] trait.
• Cheng Sheng restored his physique through an offering to his intermediary demon and completed his initiation into the Black Killing Style.
• During the Black Tide, Cheng Sheng found and sacrificed an evil spirit at the abandoned school, gaining the [Summon Imp] spell and summoning two Abyss Imps.
• After the Red Ba Gang targeted his family, Cheng Sheng attacked its warehouse, defeated Hei Cha, and bound Jia Wa to him with Blood Contract.
• Cheng Sheng had Jia Wa repair the damage to his parents’ home and set up surveillance at the abandoned school, where they spotted Wang Shan.
• Cheng Sheng confronted Wang Shan at the school, swallowed Daji, and killed Wang Shan after overcoming his regeneration.
• Cheng Sheng sacrificed Wang Shan and the bone bells, gained the Control Shadow spell, and later sparred at the dojo as Su Tai continued to favor Sha Lie.
