On a night covered with dark clouds, a thick, colorful curtain seemed to hang low in the sky, and thunder roared like ancient war drums, each strike seemingly tearing apart the dense darkness.

The torrential rain poured down, crashing wildly against the earth, the cracking sounds like nature's angry roar, venting its endless fury.

The red-haired boy slowly awoke from the chaos, his head spinning, his consciousness like a lone boat lost in a thick fog, bewildered and helpless.

The surrounding darkness enveloped him like thick ink, with a faint smell of blood mixed in, the pungent odor making his stomach churn.

Nagato lay on the cold ground, every inch of his skin feeling the biting cold. His hands groped blindly in the darkness, yearning to capture a sliver of warmth, a sliver of light.

"Dad... Mom..." His breath trembled, filled with deep fear.

However, each call seemed to plunge into an abyss, receiving no response whatsoever.

The boy struggled to endure the stinging pain in his eyes, the pain feeling like needles piercing his nerves.

He gritted his teeth and staggered step by step toward the living room he remembered, his steps heavy and dragging.

As the distance shortened, his heart tightened more and more.

Finally, he saw the two motionless corpses, a man and a woman, lying there quietly, lifeless.

An indescribable sorrow welled up in Nagato's heart. He remembered that his parents had long since passed away...

That once familiar face was now as pale as paper, cold and indifferent. Tears blurred his vision, and his body trembled uncontrollably.

Suddenly, in the darkness, he tripped over something, lost his balance, and fell heavily forward.

Panic surged within him, and he struggled hastily to stand up. When his gaze fell upon the object that had tripped him, fear engulfed him like a tidal wave.

It was a man's corpse; this was his masterpiece!

His gaze darted around, glancing quickly at the scene as if he hadn't witnessed it, as if nothing had ever happened.

In the darkness, the boy's eyes gleamed with a mysterious, eerie purple light, like ghostly fire leaping from the depths of hell, appearing even more sinister in the night.

Nagato's heart was filled with despair and pain. "Aaaaaah... Why did it have to turn out like this? I didn't want to hurt anyone!"

The stinging in his eyes intensified, the pain becoming almost unbearable. He collapsed to the ground, covering his eyes with his hands, and involuntarily let out suppressed whimpers.

Tears slipped from his fingers and dripped onto the cold floor tiles. He couldn't understand why fate had dealt him such a cruel blow, pushing him into such a desperate situation.

"Who's there?!" A fierce shout suddenly shattered the surrounding silence.

Nagato's body stiffened abruptly, fear instantly spreading throughout his body. The dead man's accomplices must have already discovered his whereabouts.

He wanted to escape, but his body was frozen like a stone statue, unable to move. The man's figure slowly approached like a demon, the long knife in his hand still dripping with undried blood.

The bloodstains stood out starkly in the darkness, silently testifying to the brutal killing that had occurred not long ago.

With nowhere to run, the boy closed his eyes in resignation. This was for the best; he would see his parents again. He quietly awaited his death.

Bang! Thunder roared, tearing the night sky apart in an instant. Blinding lightning, like a ghost, ripped through the dark curtain, illuminating the outline of the room.

The curtains were tightly drawn, not letting in a single ray of light; darkness, like thick ink, enveloped everything.

The room was dark and silent, with only deep breathing echoing in the air. The medicine bottles and jars on the cabinet were arranged in an orderly fashion, their shadows swaying gracefully in the light.

A sudden burst of dazzling light pierced the silence, and the person inside the room abruptly opened their eyes, their pupils revealing panic and confusion.

He slowly sat up and noticed that his clothes were soaked with sweat, the sticky feeling making him extremely uncomfortable.

Nagato's heart was pounding, as if a rapid drum was beating in his chest. He tried to get out of bed, but as soon as he took a step forward, his legs gave way and he fell heavily to the ground.

The fall felt like a thunderbolt striking his body; the pain spread like ripples. He breathed heavily, his hands planted firmly in the ground as he struggled to support his heavy frame.

Sweat beads, like broken pearls, slid down his forehead and dripped onto the cold floor, making a soft, pattering sound.

After a difficult struggle, Nagato leaned against the cabinet beside him and stood up with difficulty. He was searching for something—perhaps a painkiller, or perhaps a solace for his soul.

However, his hands were trembling uncontrollably, and in the chaos, the medicines scattered all over the ground like raindrops.

The bottles and jars rolled around, making a pleasant but now irritating sound. Nagato looked at the mess, his head spinning, and his stomach felt like a thousand horses were galloping inside him.

He staggered and stumbled in the darkness, finally groping his way into the bathroom. He braced himself against the sink, retching incessantly, but only acidic fluid came out of his stomach.

The sour taste filled his mouth, exacerbating his suffering. He leaned against the sink, panting heavily, trying to calm the turmoil in his heart.

His mind was burning like a furnace, as if it would incinerate his reason. He felt as if he were in purgatory, about to be reduced to ashes in the heat. Pain raged through his mind, driving him to the brink of madness.

Nagato shivered as he reached for the tap and turned it on Nagato water cascaded down, and he lowered his head to let the cold water wash over his head. The biting chill made him shudder, but he didn't care.

At this moment, all he wanted was to use this cold baptism to calm himself down and escape the pain that was scorching his soul like fire.

After a while, he slowly raised his head and silently stared at his reflection in the mirror. His purple eyes, through the mirror, were like two sharp swords, piercing Nagato. His gaze was filled with hatred, as if it would break through the mirror at any moment and devour him.

To outsiders, these eyes symbolize supreme power, a lofty Kekkei Genkai. In the Shinobi World, those who possess such a special Kekkei Genkai are always looked upon with envy and awe.

People envy Nagato's eyes, yearning to possess that immense power, and are willing to pay any price to achieve it. They only see the power, glory, and invincible strength that those eyes represent.
