He Refused to Accept It
As the four approached, they saw that Koki was calmly standing by the river, seemingly detached from the situation. They concluded that Koki was just an insignificant passerby who had no intention of getting involved in the conflict.
Without further ado, their eyes flashed with ferocity, and they quickly dispersed, completely surrounding Tobirama.
One of them had a horrifying scar across his face, and his ferocious face was even more terrifying. The corners of his mouth rose maliciously, a cold smile broke out, and he taunted loudly. "Young boy, let's see where you can escape now!"
Upon hearing Tobirama, Tobirama felt as if he had fallen into an ice cave. He clenched his teeth, his cheeks puffed out, and a resolute look appeared on his face.
He inwardly groaned. This mission had been fraught with difficulties from beginning to end. He was entrusted with the heavy responsibility of his family and was to go deep into enemy territory to spy on core secrets.
Unfortunately, fate played a cruel trick on him; he ultimately triggered the enemy's alert mechanism, instantly revealing his whereabouts.
Alarms blared repeatedly as he desperately fled amidst the attack, only to be caught off guard and ambushed.
The force of that blow caused him to lose his balance instantly, and his body plummeted vertically from the towering cliff into the turbulent river.
The icy cold river water almost immediately caused him to lose consciousness. To make matters worse, all the weapons he carried were swept away by the river, and the sharp blades and hidden weapons he used to rely on were now nowhere to be found.
At this moment, the enemy was in hot pursuit. Although they were not top-tier experts, to Tobirama at this time, they were like unpredictable killers, causing him great anxiety.
He was unarmed, and the wound on his shoulder was so deep that the bone was visible. The slightest movement caused excruciating pain, and he could only maintain his balance with one hand.
The intense exertion caused his physical strength to drop rapidly, and he soon felt powerless, his breathing became rapid and heavy, and beads of sweat appeared on his forehead.
"Prepare to die!" A furious shout shattered the sky as several people brandished their weapons.
Long swords and short swords reflected a chilling glint in the sunlight, their eyes gleaming with ferocity as they launched a fierce attack on Tobirama like wolves and tigers.
Their offensive was like a storm, Tobirama's eyes were sharp as knives, a tenacity honed on the brink of life and death.
Relying on his agile movements honed through years of rigorous training, he narrowly avoided the attack at the last second.
However, the process was fraught with danger, with the body weaving through blades and swords, and every movement was extremely difficult.
With a severe shoulder injury and loss of coordination, the enemy did not allow him a moment's respite.
Before Tobirama could regain his footing and adjust his breathing, the four quickly rearranged their formation, surrounding him once again at the core.
They resolutely threw their Kunai, the sound of them tearing through the Tobirama sharp and piercing. Tobirama stared intently, his pupils constricting, concentrating all his mental energy, and at the last moment, he retreated diagonally with all his might.
However, the injured body was ultimately slow, and a Kunai past his face, the sensation of the air cutting through it clearly tangible.
Immediately afterwards, the stinging pain on my face intensified, and a bloody welt appeared. Blood slowly flowed down my cheek, blurring my vision, and the world turned crimson.
Seeing Tobirama injured, the four were overjoyed and unleashed Shuriken Hayate.
Tobirama gritted his teeth and leaped backward with all his might, but his strength was exhausted, and he was ultimately unable to completely dodge.
A Shuriken pierced through his calf, and excruciating pain instantly spread throughout his body.
His body, like a kite with a broken string, fell forward and crashed heavily into the dust.
Amidst the swirling dust, he lay motionless on the ground, a look of resentment flashing in his eyes, but even more so, a despair born of Rotation helplessness.
In this desperate situation, perhaps this is truly the only place where one can perish.
He was unwilling to accept it.
