Council Deliberations and Old Faces

Having settled the many affairs within the Yang Family Sacred Land, Yang Lingqing convened the first council meeting since their great migration in West Heavy Heaven.

From this meeting onward, the two old ancestors of the family, Yang Guanfeng and Elder Yu, no longer needed to show themselves.

Now that all the Yang Family cultivators had gathered in the Sacred Land, free from the troubles of branch families, Yang Lingqing was fully capable of commanding the overall situation alone. The two elders could finally calm their hearts and cultivate in peace at the Yang Family's two former sites.

The focus of this Yang Family council meeting was how to establish contact with the barbarian cultivators beyond the Sacred Land.

Though this was a Sacred Land forged by their own Immortal Venerable through immeasurable divine means, the Yang Family were outsiders in the end. Whether out of courtesy or for the sake of future cooperation, maintaining good relations with the barbarians was absolutely necessary.

Before this, not to mention the Yang Family's ordinary people, even the family's cultivators had never dealt with barbarians.

They only knew from storybooks and rumors that east of the Eastern Wilderness lay such a region, inhabited by a group of foreign people unlike themselves.

Their understanding of the barbarians was limited to the rigid impressions painted by those accounts: savage and cruel.

But from this day onward, if the Yang Family wished to develop steadily in this land, they had to sweep away those old notions in their hearts, come to understand the barbarians anew, and live harmoniously alongside them.
