Sparring and Exchange

At the end of this exchange between the two clans, there was naturally the ever-popular segment of discussing the Dao and sparring.

In the Qi Gathering Realm, the Yang Family sent Zhao Qi, Dai Wei, and Yuan Cheng.

Their opponents were three Beast Soul Realm barbarian cultivators from this provincial city.

In the first match, Zhao Qi faced a young barbarian prodigy whose cultivation matched his own. The two fought for dozens of exchanges, and in the end, Zhao Qi fell one move short and suffered a regrettable defeat.

Neither the Yang Family cultivators nor Zhao Qi himself found this result surprising.

Everyone knew that Zhao Qi's true talent did not lie in this sort of one-on-one discussion of the Dao. Once he led troops onto the front lines, that would be the stage where he could truly spread his wings.

The second match was Yuan Cheng against another barbarian Beast Soul Realm cultivator.

Previously, he had received the Enlightenment Stone's gifts twice. The first time had healed his old bodily injuries; the second had directly raised his cultivation by one level, while also deepening his understanding of techniques by several degrees.

Yuan Cheng was now at the Fifth Level Cultivation, and among cultivators of his age in the Northwest, his talent and strength could be called outstanding.

One had to know that when Zhao Qi was Yuan Cheng's age, his cultivation had still been wavering around the second or third level of the Qi Gathering Realm.

This battle ended in a draw.

If he had used his ultimate move, Yuan Cheng was confident that he could defeat his opponent.

However, he had only recently mastered that killing move and was still far from proficient in controlling it.

This was merely a friendly exchange between his family and the barbarians.
