"Poor! Poor!"

On Spirit Mountain, in front of a dilapidated mud-brick house,

A ragged, tattered-looking monk sat in front of the door.

He tapped the ground with the tattered sole of his shoe while muttering to himself.

His face was sallow and miserable, but the monk was quite fat, with a large, protruding belly.

"Venerable One, could you please stop chanting?!"

"I know we're poor,"

"But you keep nagging me like this, I'm sick of hearing it."

A thin, dark-skinned monk complained.

"Yes! Buddha, we've already suffered enough, please stop nagging, okay?"

The remaining monks also complained.

Maitreya Buddha was a disciple Sage Zhunti, one of the two saints of the West in the past.

A power rarely seen in the Western Sect.

Unfortunately, with the death of the two Western saints, they now face a world full of bandits.

Even Maitreya Buddha could only allow himself to be robbed and plundered.

Faced with the criticism from the crowd, the pot-bellied Maitreya Buddha awkwardly touched his bald head.

I muttered to myself, "Isn't it because I'm feeling down?"

As he said this, he looked up at the sky and sighed again.

"When will this ever end?!"

He looked around the hilltop; all those once sacred and magnificent palaces were gone.

All that remained were rows of dilapidated houses, on the verge of collapse.

The incense offerings to the Western Sect have also become extremely scarce.

In this world, apart from the bitterly cold lands of the far west, there are still people who believe in the Western Sect.

Besides these, there is no other Western Sect belief.

"Oh, Buddha!"

The monks around him all wore bitter expressions.

Even the two saints of the Western Sect were killed by the Divine Venerable.

As long as the Divine Venerable is alive, how can their Western Sect possibly recover?!

"Venerable One, why don't we move away from here?"

"Now, nothing is left of Spirit Mountain except poverty."

"There's no point in us staying here and holding onto this poor place."

"Why don't we move Spirit Mountain to the Eastern Victorious Divine Continent, or the Southern Jambu Continent?"

A monk addressed Maitreya Buddha.

"Yes! The senior monk is right!"

The monks' eyes lit up, and they all echoed the sentiment.

"I think we could move to the Southern Jambu Continent)."

"No matter what, we all possess the cultivation of the Taiyi Dao, and the World Honored One is still Daluo Golden Immortal."

"Although our meager Daoxing are insufficient to revitalize Mahayana Buddhism,"

"But if we establish our own territory, finding a more prosperous place shouldn't be a problem."

"That's right! Those beasts with fur and armor can all live like kings of the mountains, free and unrestrained."

Why can't we do it!

"I think going to Eastern Victorious Divine Province is not bad either."

"I think either way is fine. When we get there, we can even preach to people."

"Becoming a Daoist priest, praying for blessings and warding off disasters, can earn you some money from incense offerings."

The monks started talking all at once, discussing the matter amongst themselves.

This time, however, Maitreya Buddha forcefully waved his tattered sleeve.

"What do you mean, 'right'?! Poverty and hardship cannot sway one's principles; have you forgotten the old saying?!"

"Hmph! This Spirit Mountain is a blessed land for our Western Sect,"

"It was here that the two great Buddhas attained enlightenment."

"No matter what, we cannot abandon this place!"

Maitreya Buddha said.

"I have a premonition that as long as we protect this Spirit Mountain..."

"Sooner or later, our Mahayana Buddhism will surely see the light at the end of the tunnel!"

Maitreya Buddha solemnly declared,

He squinted, his eyes holding a profound light; he was the Future Buddha of the Western Sect.

In the the Unseen, one can naturally glimpse some aspects of the future.

However, after being reprimanded like that, the monks around all shook their heads and sighed.

The way they looked at Maitreya Buddha was as if they regarded him as a madman talking nonsense.

But at that very moment, suddenly, the entire mountaintop of Spirit Mountain trembled.

A calm yet resonant voice rang out!

"I have attained Quasi-Sage!"

As the voice faded, a myriad of rays of Buddhist light erupted from Spirit Mountain.

Within the Buddha's light, a figure appeared, stepping on a golden lotus.

Amidst the dazzling Buddhist light, various chants and hymns resounded.

This restored the sacred radiance to what was once a desolate and barren Spirit Mountain.

It's Kṣitigarbha Bodhisattva!

"Kṣitigarbha Bodhisattva has attained Quasi-Sage!"

"Haha, from now on, our Western Sect has another Quasi-Sage."

"Let's see who dares to bully us now!"

On Spirit Mountain, the numerous monks were overjoyed.

Although Quasi-Sage cannot completely change the declining status of the Western Sect,

But at least it means they won't be bullied so badly anymore.

"Kṣitigarbha Bodhisattva is indeed the hope of our Western Sect!"

Maitreya Buddha laughed loudly and got up from the ground.

However, at this moment, after Kṣitigarbha Bodhisattva surveyed the entire Spirit Mountain within the Buddha's light,

He simply shed tears.

"The Buddha's teachings are boundless, but the sea of suffering is endless."

"In the Netherworld World, countless beings are unable to find liberation; I am willing to enter hell!"

Having said this, Kṣitigarbha Bodhisattva stood with his feet firmly on the ground, gazing up at the Heavenly Dao.

"I now make a great vow: I will not become a Buddha until hell is emptied!"

Rumble!

The Heavenly Dao trembled, and boundless merit descended.

However, Kṣitigarbha Bodhisattva did not accept the boundless merit that was bestowed upon him.

With a casual wave of his hand, these merits fell upon Spirit Mountain.

In the blink of an eye, the entire Spirit Mountain was revitalized.

Within the earth, the Spirit Vein that had been severed began to swell with Spiritual Qi anew.

Numerous Ganoderma lucidum and other medicinal herbs sprouted from the ground at a visible rate, much like bamboo shoots after a spring rain.

In the blink of an eye, those dilapidated mud-brick houses were transformed into Buddhist temples!

The entire Spirit Mountain was once again bathed in a dazzling and sacred Jinguang.

After doing all this, Kṣitigarbha Bodhisattva didn't say a word. He simply leaped into the Netherworld!

The Netherworld World opened, and sacred, dazzling Jinguang continued to fall.

It plummeted straight down into the deepest part of the Netherworld World.

Originally, the deepest part of the Netherworld World was the Rebirth Platform beneath the Eighteen Levels of Hell, where the Reincarnation Wheel was located.

However, with the arrival of Kṣitigarbha Bodhisattva, Lady Pingxin, who was presiding over the Rebirth Platform, waved her hand...

The Netherworld shattered beneath the Rebirth Platform, below the Eighteen Levels of Hell.

Another boundless hell has been created.

Kṣitigarbha Bodhisattva fell, and thus fell to the Eighteen Levels of Hell.

"Below the Eighteen Levels of Hell, the Avici Hell opens!"

"From this day forward, all those who commit heinous crimes and will never be reborn will be cast into the Avici Hell."

"They will suffer endless torment, never to die, and never to be liberated!"

As Lady Pingxin finished speaking,

A vast number of deeply sinful ghosts were seized from various hells in the Netherworld World by a powerful supernatural Divine Ability.

Then they were all thrown into the Avici Hell.

These heinous demons are all incorrigible, cruel, and tyrannical individuals.

Their hearts had long been corrupted by evil thoughts, and the punishment in hell would only deepen their resentment.

These wicked spirits were already a headache for her.

Now is the perfect time; let's send them all to the Avici Hell.
