Ch. 242Why Don't You Have a Sense of Humor?

  • Suirenshi said that he, Youchaoshi, and Ziyishi had stationed Daluo experts across human territories to guard against attacks, while the Human Race could do little else but endure.

Ch. 243The Human Race Must Face the Calamity!

Ch. 246The Demon Race's Crisis!

  • At the Demon Court’s minor assembly, Fuxi worried that the Demon Race’s growing conflict with the Human Race would lead to war, and Shangyang tried to reassure him about the Divine Venerable.
  • Fuxi’s jade crown beads broke, and a sudden pain in his heart warned him of an approaching crisis.

  • Fuxi ordered the Demon Court’s subjects to stop arbitrarily killing members of other races and to prepare against calamity.

The Sages of Jade Wanderer Palace and Empress Wa Palace ordered their disciples into thousand-year seclusion as the Primordial World’s heavenly secrets fell into Chaos. Ch. 248Set Out, My Little Mosquitoes!

After refining Pangu's Essence Blood, Daoist Mosquito reached Quasi-Sage Great Perfection and sent a swarm of blood mosquitoes to devour the Demon Race so he could use their blood to pursue the Dao of Hunyuan. The swarm began its attack at the Black Mist Cave Abode, killing two bear demons and growing stronger.

  • Jinnaluo saw Daoist Mosquito and fled, while Daoist Mosquito spared him and revealed that refining Pangu's Essence Blood had brought him to Quasi-Sage Great Perfection.

Ch. 250The Demon Race Sends Out Its Army!

Ch. 251Fuxi Emerges!

Ch. 254The Immeasurable Calamity Comes to an End!

Lin Yunji demanded that the Demon Race give up its position as the Primordial World's leading race and privately told Fuxi to die as its Demon Emperor. Fuxi killed himself after entrusting Little Golden Crow to Lin Yunji, who named him Lu Ya and announced that the Human Race would rise.

  • Lin Yunji demanded that the Demon Race relinquish its position as the leading race, and Fuxi agreed because the Demon Race had been devastated.
  • Fuxi accepted Lin Yunji's second demand and asked him to take Little Golden Crow as a disciple after his death.
  • Little Golden Crow bowed to Lin Yunji, became his disciple, and received the Daoist name Lu Ya.

Ch. 255A Wage-Slave Mosquito the Moment He Became a Sage!

After the Demon Race’s destiny was severed, Lin Yunji stopped Daoist Mosquito from devouring the remaining demons and rewarded him with Primordial Expanse purple qi, completing his Sage Dao fruit. Lin Yunji sent him to the North Sea Eye, where Daoist Mosquito learned he could cultivate in an abandoned cave abode and earn merit by suppressing its cold waves.

  • The Demon Race’s destiny ended, the Human Race’s destiny rose, and Daoist Mosquito stopped hunting the surviving demons at Lin Yunji’s command.

Ch. 256The Human Race Shall Prosper!!

Daoist Mosquito willingly went to guard the North Sea Eye, while the Human Race rose to prominence after the Demon Race’s defeat and gathered to choose its first Human Emperor. The three Human progenitors declined to participate, but Youqiongshi and the other leaders insisted that the chosen candidate must accept the responsibility.

  • Lin Yunji sent Daoist Mosquito to fill the North Sea Eye, and Daoist Mosquito eagerly went to continue Daoist Cold Stone’s work.

  • Human Race leaders gathered in the Sacred City to discuss choosing a Human Emperor, with Suirenshi, Youchaoshi, and Ziyishi presiding.
  • Youchaoshi, Suirenshi, and Ziyishi declared that they would not participate, arguing that the Human Emperor needed wisdom, kindness, responsibility, and broad vision rather than seniority or strength.
  • Youqiongshi objected that whoever the assembly chose must accept the office, and the other leaders voiced their support.

Ch. 257The Human Emperor Is Chosen, and the Sages Are Tempted!

Lin Yunji declared that the Human Emperor should be chosen by the people and the Heavenly Dao, leaving Youchaoshi, Suirenshi, and Ziyishi to decide among themselves. • Immortal Elder of the South Pole, Chijingzi, and Jade Void True Person also left to seek Lin Yunji, while Juliusun and Huanglong did not appear.

Ch. 258Angry at Their Refusal to Contend!

Heavenly Venerable Yuanshi summoned Juliusun and Huanglong, criticized Juliusun for neglecting his cultivation, and praised Huanglong’s diligence and strong foundation. When he asked whether they wanted to contend for the Heavenly Emperor or Nether Thearch positions, both declined, leaving him angry at Huanglong for belittling himself.

  • Heavenly Venerable Yuanshi questioned Juliusun and Huanglong about their cultivation, and Juliusun admitted he had reached mid-stage Daluo while Huanglong had reached Daluo Golden Immortal Perfection.

  • Heavenly Venerable Yuanshi angrily rebuked Huanglong for belittling himself and insisted that a Sage’s disciple was qualified to become Heavenly Emperor.

Ch. 259Are You All Here for the Position of Heavenly Emperor?

Heavenly Venerable Yuanshi sent Juliusun and Huanglong to seek Houtu’s approval for the Nether Emperor position while Guangchengzi and the others gathered outside Empress Wa Palace to compete for Heavenly Emperor. As they waited for Lin Yunji, they worried that Zhen Yuanzi’s standing and cultivation gave him the greatest advantage.

  • Heavenly Venerable Yuanshi explained the difference between the Netherworld Great Emperor and the Nether Emperor, then directed Juliusun and Huanglong to seek Houtu’s approval for the Nether Emperor position.
  • Juliusun and Huanglong thanked Heavenly Venerable Yuanshi and hurried to the Netherworld World.
