The Space Levels Up

Inside the Immortal Spirit Space, Su Ye opened his eyes in delight.

"Foundation Establishment First Layer, achieved!"

That was right. Just when Su Ye had thought he was about to end in failure, he had finally crossed that threshold and become a cultivator at the Foundation Establishment First Layer.

Over the past two months, aside from learning the Sword Control Technique, Su Ye had practiced no other spells and had focused solely on cultivating spiritual energy.

The pool was now about five times its original size and twice as deep.

Su Ye pondered for a while, then took several bags of spirit grain from the thatched hut nearby. He had deliberately kept this grain to use as seed.

The Immortal Spirit Space had originally been almost packed full with everything he had planted, so Su Ye had harvested very little spirit grain.

Now that the Immortal Spirit Space had leveled up and expanded tenfold, a single crop of spirit grain would basically be enough for Su Ye to use freely for a long time.

Su Ye took a hoe from his storage bag and began breaking ground on the expanded land.

After digging for several hours straight, Su Ye had turned over the soil on roughly a quarter of the entire plot.

Su Ye shook out his arms and put the hoe back into his storage bag.

Then he scattered the spirit grain seeds over the plot he had cleared.

Once he had finished sowing the seeds, Su Ye took two large iron buckets from his storage bag, carried two full buckets of water over from the pool, and used an iron dipper to sprinkle it over the land where he had planted the spirit grain seeds.

Only after he had carried over ten-odd buckets of spiritual energy water was the entire freshly cleared plot watered.

Even after that, Su Ye still thought it wasn't enough. He formed hand seals with both hands and cast the Sweet Rain Technique several times.

Bean-sized drops of spiritual energy water fell onto the ground, and before long, the soil had absorbed them completely.

Only then did Su Ye nod in satisfaction!

The cyan longsword had once been Daoist Qinghua's life-bound magic treasure, and after changing hands, it had now come into Su Ye's possession.

Su Ye's eagerness to break through to the Foundation Establishment stage had something to do with this sword as well.

According to the records in the Taihe Sixteen Grotto-Heavens, once cultivators broke through to the Foundation Establishment stage, they could learn a spell called the Sword Control Technique.

The Sword Control Technique was recorded in the Taihe Sixteen Grotto-Heavens as well. When Su Ye had been at the Qi Refining Ninth Layer, he had tried flying on a sword, and he had actually succeeded.

However, he had flown only a few dozen meters on the sword before the spiritual energy in his body was drained.

If Little Black had not been quick enough to catch Su Ye then, Su Ye might have had to go to the hospital to have his bones set.
