This Battle Is Fought to Save the World

"Little girl, do you even know how to use the power you borrowed from 'Finality'?"

Black Tomb looked at Silver Wolf with a faint smile.

"Old hag! Whether I can use it or not is none of your business."

Finality studied Silver Wolf's cartridge thoughtfully.

"I'll help her." The figure of Black Wolf, the Emperor of the Dark Domain from the IF timeline and the true owner of the LV.999 cartridge, was projected beside Silver Wolf.

"Interesting. As expected of the pinnacle of Elation." Finality clapped.

"But isn't it a little too lifeless?"

Those words were directed at Black Wolf.

"Little girl, don't let power make you lose sight of why you started."

With that, Finality fell silent.

Silver Wolf merely snorted and ignored the Lord Ravager.

"Everyone taking part in the battle is ready," Asta reported, stepping forward and handing Black Tomb the compiled coordinates.

"Open the door." Black Tomb gave the coordinates to Sera.

This was what they had decided on. One system hour was too short for them to reach the destination, so they would finish preparing here and have Sera open a door.

After checking the coordinates, Sera opened a door and stepped onto a silent, lifeless planet. Everyone else followed close behind.

"Interesting." Sera swept his consciousness across the planet.

"It actually looks so much like the moon."

"It certainly does," Welt Yang remarked.

"Next, I'll open the doors for the combatants."

Sera said no more. He opened doors for the galactic coalition at their assigned positions.

Fleet after fleet surrounded the star system.

"Then, let's get ready to begin."

Sera looked back at the people waiting behind him, his voice carrying throughout the star system.

The six wings on Sera's back fluttered gently as he flew high into the sky.

Amid the boundless stars, he set aside his current form, his eyes returning to their azure blue.

Begin, trial of civilization.

And so, the Cocoon of Finality cast its gaze upon him.

Sera seized that fleeting glance and tore away a portion of the Cocoon's shadow the moment it fell.

But to Sera's surprise, the Cocoon let him tear away its shadow, then fused all of it into his body.

"Hahaha..." Sera understood what the Cocoon meant. He sealed the shadow within his body, making himself a vessel for Finality.

But he did not allow Finality to descend completely. Sera did everything he could to seal away most of its power, keeping its magnitude from reaching that of an Aeon.

The price was that Sera's soul had to endure the pain of being torn apart and eroded by Honkai Energy.

"God granted me everything: the King of Finality, who brings Finality to the mortal world and passes judgment on civilization.

"Come, defeat me and reclaim the future you have lost.

"This body is the final trial of civilization."

Though they could not yet accept that Sera had become the vessel of Finality, everyone tightened their grips on their weapons and aimed them at the god.

An endless tide of beasts emerged among the stars.

This battle was fought to "Trailblaze" the way forward.

The Astral Express burst through a spatial door and crashed into a dense swarm of Honkai Beasts, then turned back and rammed them again, continuing until they were all destroyed.

This battle was fought to "Preserve" the universe.

The IPC's fleets opened fire without regard for their losses, lighting up the stars with countless points of light.

This battle was fought to bring "Harmony" to all beings.

The Family's performers faithfully obeyed the divine will, weaving their songs of Harmony into a network connecting the galactic coalition.

This battle was fought to practice "Beauty."

Clad in sturdy yet magnificent armor, they wielded lances or held sacred swords aloft, like the noble knights of legend.

The entire Knights of Beauty answered the call and joined the battle against Finality.

This battle was fought to bring "Abundance" to civilization.

The Unshackled charged into the beast hordes with their bodies and a spirit unafraid of death. They feared no injury, for the Power of Abundance would restore their bodies.

This battle was fought to enlighten "Erudition."

Herta Space Station and Planet Screwllum launched precision strikes from outside the star system against high-threat Honkai Beasts.

This battle was fought to bring "Elation" to childhood.

The Tavern's old Fools joined hands with the new Masked Fools who had not fallen, and fought alongside the Mournful Actors.

"Old Sampo wants to fight for the galaxy's future too."

"Ta-da! Director Sparkle makes her heroic debut!"

Sparkle appeared amid a burst of fireworks.

"I'm a Valkyrie too, you know, so of course I had to come fight the Honkai."

"My dear little sister, be careful not to mess up~" The carefree Ms. Little V had also driven her RV to the battlefield.

"Oh my, aren't you good at killing Honkai gods, Sister Vita, as the undertaker of gods? Surely you can protect your adorable little sister?"

"Hehe." Vita did not want to bother with Sparkle. When she saw what Sera looked like, she knew there would most likely be no problems this time.

Provoke that Herrscher of Finality's counterpart? She wasn't tired of living like Sa.

This battle was fought to "Balance" the scales of life and death.

The Equilibrium faction, the Arbiters, followed the Oracle of Mutuality, coming to put an end to a future in which death alone remained in the universe.

This battle was fought to "Remember" the galaxy's rebirth.

The Memokeepers moved through the battlefield, recording the flames of resistance.

This battle was fought to bring an end to "Finality."

All the Stellaron Hunters except Silver Wolf were scattered across the battlefield.

"I will... set the seas ablaze!"

"Hahaha... hahahahahaha! Grant me death, or die!"

Blade fought without any regard for his life, his body covered in his own blood.

"Every battlefield is ready. Now it's time to face Finality directly."

Everyone present to fight Finality head-on was an Emanator, except for Welt Yang.

Emanator of Erudition-Herta.

Dual Emanator of Erudition and Destruction-Black Tomb.

Emanator of Harmony, Constantina of the Many Voices of the Theater of a Thousand Voices-the Summoner, Robin.

Preservation Emanator-Diamond.

Emanator of Destruction-Finality.

Emanator of Nihility-Acheron.

"I shall do what little I can." Acheron held her edict blade and looked toward Finality.

Emanator of Elation-Silver Wolf LV.999.

Emanator of Equilibrium-Grand Arbiter.

Emanator of Remembrance (?)-Cyrene.

"I'll bring you back safe and sound." Cyrene's voice was resolute.

She had used the authority of "Finality" from Elio to temporarily gain the authority of an Emanator of Remembrance. An Aeon could not personally enter the fray.

And in that Amphoreus timeline that never reached the dawn, Cyrene had ascended to godhood by freezing time forever, holding love for the dead galaxy in her heart.

Fuli Cyrene glanced at Cyrene and granted her the authority of an Emanator of Remembrance.

Herrscher of Reason-Welt Yang, who bore the world's name, fought once more against the Honkai!

"This battle is fought in expectation of being surpassed."

The vessel bearing the Power of Finality, the source of Honkai in this world, who awaited those who would surpass him-Seraphis (?)

"Those who face the trial, step forward. Defeat me, and reclaim your future along with him."

The incomplete, mass-produced Herrscher of Finality formally broke free of the cocoon and took form.

"This is the star that overturns every law and rewrites the [world]-"
