Ayato defeated Urashiki, helped Naruto reconcile with Kurama, and traveled to the past, where he changed the Nine-Tails’ attack and met his counterpart, Minato Menma. Back in his own time, Ayato advanced his techniques as Konoha prepared to attend the Five Kage Summit.

• Ayato told Nagato and Konan that Black Zetsu had manipulated Nagato’s life, then brought them to Konoha, where Nagato began reconsidering his pursuit of peace.
• Sasuke and Ayato met Young Sasuke and Boruto, learned they had come from another future to protect Naruto from Urashiki, and helped them return to their own world after Urashiki’s defeat.
• Ayato helped Naruto meet Minato and Kushina in his mind, and Naruto reconciled with Kurama and learned to use Kurama Sage Mode.
• Ayato followed Naruto, Kakashi, and Sakura to Rōran, where Mukade activated the Dragon Vein and sent Ayato into the past.
• Ayato helped Minato and Kushina survive the Nine-Tails’ attack by sealing half of Kurama into Kushina and the rest into infant Naruto, then encouraged Minato to support the orphanage where his counterpart was raised.
• Ayato met Minato Menma in the past, returned to Rōran, and absorbed the Dragon Vein’s power before making his way back to his own time.
• Ayato developed and tested powerful space-cutting techniques, then ordered Naruto to take missions without using Kurama’s power except in danger.
• Ayato accepted the Raikage’s invitation to a Five Kage Summit and chose Naruto and Sasuke to accompany him, while Nagato wondered whether replacing his eyes might ease Konan’s burden.

Ayato formed the Allied Shinobi Forces and pursued his plan to unify the world while fighting the reanimated Kage and former shinobi. The war continued as Naruto and Sasuke confronted the Masked Man and his controlled Tailed Beasts, and Sasuke reunited with Fugaku Uchiha.

• Ayato left Konoha with Naruto and Sasuke for the Five Kage Summit, where he exposed the Masked Man’s plan and helped form the Allied Shinobi Forces with himself as commander-in-chief.
• Ayato returned to Konoha, announced the war, and secretly recruited Shikaku Nara and Orochimaru to support his goal of unifying the world.
• Ayato organized the Allied Shinobi Forces and sent them into battle, where Gaara’s speech rallied the troops before they advanced.
• Ayato fought and sealed the reanimated Third Raikage, Second Mizukage, and Second Tsuchikage, then faced Orochimaru’s summoned Hatake Sakumo, Might Duy, Uzumaki Mito, Fugaku Uchiha, and Itachi Uchiha.
• Ayato defeated Orochimaru’s reanimated fighters and sent them to reunite with their families, including Hatake Sakumo with Kakashi, Might Duy with Might Guy, and Uzumaki Mito with Tsunade.
• The Masked Man entered the battle with the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path and nine reanimated Jinchuriki, including Uzumaki Kushina, and Naruto and Sasuke fought them together.
• Naruto and Sasuke combined the golden Nine-Tails with Sasuke’s Susanoo armor, then Naruto spotted the black rods controlling the Tailed Beasts while Sasuke met Fugaku Uchiha.

Ayato, Naruto, and Sasuke fought Obito and Madara as the war escalated, and Ayato faced Six Paths Madara with a hidden Shadow Clone. After revealing the ruse and rescuing the Allied Shinobi Forces, Ayato restored Kakashi and prepared to fight Madara again.

• Sasuke confronted Fugaku’s final gift and awakened the Rinnegan, while Naruto freed the Tailed Beasts from their Black Rods.
• Ayato devastated Orochimaru’s White Zetsu army, then confronted the resurrected Uchiha Madara and fought him with a flaming Susanoo until the Ten-Tails’ power drew Madara away.
• Ayato released Minato’s soul and took in the Yin Nine-Tails, while Naruto and the Allied Shinobi Forces broke Obito’s mask and survived the Ten-Tails’ attacks.
• Sasuke returned to the battlefield and fought Madara, while Kakashi defeated Obito in the Kamui Dimension and Obito became the Ten-Tails’ Jinchuriki.
• Naruto and Sasuke fought Six Paths Obito until Ayato joined them, sent them to be healed, and defeated Obito with Sage Fox Mode and the Dimensional Blade.
• Madara revived himself, absorbed the Ten-Tails, and fought Ayato, whose Spiritualized Shadow Clone eventually appeared to fall after their final clash.
• Ayato revealed that Madara had fought a Shadow Clone, rescued Naruto and Kakashi, and summoned the sages to treat and protect the Allied Shinobi Forces.
• Ayato faced the recovered Six Paths Madara again, who challenged him with Limbo: Border Jail, and Ayato answered with Sage Art: Lightning Release: Kirin.

Ayato defeated Kaguya Otsutsuki, reshaped the world’s power, and declared his intention to unify the nations. As daimyo began accepting his rule and shinobi learned the Natural Path, the Fourth Raikage confronted him over Killer B and the Eight Tails.

• Ayato defeated Six Paths Madara, who accepted defeat before Black Zetsu merged with his remains to revive Kaguya Otsutsuki.
• Ayato faced Kaguya Otsutsuki across her dimensions, survived the Eight Gates’ backlash, and used Human Sage Art to overpower her and absorb her Chakra.
• Ayato sealed Kaguya inside the restored Moon Spirit, controlled Black Zetsu, and used Infinite Kotoamatsukami to make people accept unification.
• Ayato released the Infinite Tsukuyomi, restored the captives’ vitality with Natural Energy, and threatened to wage war on anyone who opposed his plan to unify the world.
• Ayato announced the coming Otsutsuki threat and promised to make the Natural Path available, while nations and their people debated whether to resist or follow him.
• Ayato prepared Konoha for war, taught its shinobi to absorb Natural Energy, and gave Naruto and Sasuke the Sage of Six Paths’ power to develop their own Six Paths abilities.
