Martial Soul: Blue Silver Grass
"Eldest Son of the Zhang Family! It's getting late, so get some good rest and don't think too much."
"Mm! Sorry for the trouble, Uncle Dashan!"
Zhang Sheng didn't try to persuade Uncle Dashan to stay as he left. He now knew everything he needed to know, and perhaps he himself understood what era this was better than Uncle Dashan did.
"I thought I could start over and reach the pinnacle of life! But now, it's hard to say whether I'll even live to adulthood.
"Goddamn it, what the hell is all this?! Tang San!!! Fuck your grandmother!"
The more Zhang Sheng thought about it, the more he wanted to kill Tang San. The anger in his heart shot straight to the crown of his head, and he furiously raised his little hand and slammed it down on the small dining table.
With a smack, a corner of the small dining table broke right off.
The tremendous sound startled the furious Zhang Sheng. He looked at the small dining table with its broken corner, unable to process what had happened for a moment.
Then he looked at his little hand. Aside from his palm being slightly red, there was nothing wrong with it.
The sudden change sent Zhang Sheng into thought. He didn't know why he had suddenly become so strong.
He had actually been able to slap a corner off the table. That obviously wasn't something a child should be capable of; even many adults would have a hard time doing it.
As soon as Zhang Sheng thought of this, he hurriedly picked up the broken table corner from the floor and examined it again and again. Although the wood was somewhat old,
it hadn't decayed to the point where even a child could break it with a slap. That left only one possibility: the problem lay with him.
Zhang Sheng hurriedly shut the door, returned to his room, and sat cross-legged on the bed. He closed his eyes and entered a meditative state.
Zhang Sheng had to take this seriously! It concerned whether he could survive in the future, and even whether he could live well.
Once Zhang Sheng sat down on the bed, he quickly entered a meditative state and began to clear his mind. He slowly felt for the changes within his body. Perhaps heaven had taken pity on him!
He actually sensed the existence of a power within him, a very familiar power,
imbued with a rich breath of life and mixed with a little silvery-gray energy, mysterious and bizarre.
As Zhang Sheng sank deeper into meditation, the worry on his face steadily faded, and his complexion even grew rosier and more lustrous.
One hour passed,
then two hours passed.
Suddenly, two flashes of blue light flickered and vanished in the dark room, followed by a voice filled with joy.
"Heaven hasn't treated me badly! It actually gave me such a huge surprise, hahaha! There's hope for the days ahead!"
As the joyful voice fell silent, another sound came from the darkness. A small blue blade of grass appeared out of thin air in the dark room,
dyeing the entire room blue for a moment. In the light of the small blue blade of grass, Zhang Sheng's figure gradually became clear.
"I never thought we'd meet again, old friend. I hope this time I can make your name known throughout the world!"
Wasn't it strange what had happened? Or had Zhang Sheng stepped in dog shit and gotten lucky? If he had gone to another world first,
perhaps this change wouldn't have occurred. After all, it was his soul that had transmigrated, and Martial Souls were intimately connected to souls.
So there was nothing surprising about Zhang Sheng now awakening a Martial Soul that could only be awakened on Douluo Continent-Blue Silver Grass. Although Blue Silver Grass seemed like a Trash Martial Soul,
it also depended on where he was. He was now in the Sui dynasty, which might just be a place where he could show what he was capable of.
Why not say he would definitely shine? Because even Zhang Sheng didn't know what sort of setting this Sui dynasty had.
If it was a Journey to the West or Primordial world, he had better behave himself. Otherwise, some mighty immortal cultivator or the like could appear out of nowhere and slap him to death.
If it was a martial arts world, he could only go out and run wild after lying low for a while. In any case, Zhang Sheng felt that he was still young and the world was reasonably peaceful. There was no need to stick his neck out too much; he would develop himself first.
Once he understood the present world well enough, that would be when the dragon entered the jianghu.
Leaving those matters aside, Zhang Sheng looked at the Blue Silver Grass before him, and his heart could not calm down for a long time.
In my last life on Douluo Continent, I worked myself to death, but I still couldn't make you evolve into a Super Martial Soul. Starting over in this life, perhaps we'll achieve something different.
Before I transmigrated, I had only just become a Two-Ring Soul Grandmaster. Now my Soul Power has regressed to level 2, and I don't know how long it'll take to recover.
There's also the question of whether Martial Souls have any restrictions in this world. If they do, that'll be terrible.
After all, there are no Soul Beasts to kill here, so I might be stuck at level 10 Soul Scholar forever.
If there aren't any restrictions, I'll deal with that when the time comes. After all, I'm still eight levels away from level 10 Soul Scholar. It'll be hard to reach it in less than a few years.
Once everything was clear, Zhang Sheng no longer found it strange that he had been able to break off the table corner with a slap.
Whatever else one might say, it was power from a supernatural system. How could it fail to break a table corner?
Although everyone always called Douluo Continent the sewer of the fantasy genre, its power still belonged to a fantasy system, didn't it?
Surely it was better than the power system of what might be an ordinary world.
I don't know how strong I am as a level 2 Soul Scholar, and I have nothing to compare it against.
Although I broke the table corner, I did it in a fit of anger, so I might have used a bit more strength.
However I look at it, I should have at least one or two hundred jin of strength. Forget it, I'll stop thinking about it and wait until tomorrow. Today's events have been exciting enough.
In summer, daybreak usually came earlier, at around six o'clock. Although Zhang Sheng had gone to bed late the night before,
it didn't stop him from rising early today. He was even more energetic than usual. Perhaps this was one of the changes brought about by Martial Soul Awakening!
After a quick wash by the stream, Zhang Sheng prepared to begin his first cultivation session of the day. This was his security for the future, so he couldn't afford to neglect it.
He found a rock by the stream and casually sat cross-legged on it, then began his meditation for the day.
He had obtained this meditation method by chance on Douluo Continent. It was far more advanced than the basic meditation method issued by Spirit Hall.
It was at least an advanced meditation method, which was why, with a Trash Martial Soul like Blue Silver Grass and an innate Soul Power of level 2,
he had been able to cultivate to the Soul Grandmaster realm in ten years. Of course, he had also worked hard enough; otherwise, it really would have been hard to say.
Zhang Sheng was still somewhat uneasy about his first cultivation session in this world. After all, he didn't know whether it had the energy of heaven and earth he needed to cultivate. If it didn't, that would be another sad story.
The morning air was exceptionally fresh and natural, and the energy also seemed a little more active than usual.
After Zhang Sheng entered a meditative state, waves visible to the naked eye rippled around him,
one after another. Luckily, no outsiders were present, or they would have cried out in surprise.
As the energy entered him, changes also took place within Zhang Sheng's body. Countless streams of energy flowed through him and were slowly refined into Soul Power.
During this process of refinement and circulation, the energy constantly washed through Zhang Sheng's body,
removing impurities bit by bit, eliminating hidden ailments, adjusting his body toward its original state, and strengthening it.
