Beyond the Playground's Boundaries
The joyful energy of the Boundless Playground has permeated every corner of the universe, even causing ripples of happiness to spread through the "Absolute Vacuum Zone." This area, which was originally nothingness, is now being washed over by the laughter of the square and the energy of the playground, giving birth to a game "between existence and non-existence"—which the conscious beings call "Virtual-Real Hide-and-Seek": participants can enter the vacuum halfway and remain in reality halfway, with the exposed part becoming a "transparent silhouette," only detectable through "resonant laughter." One chaotic symbol got so engrossed in the game that it completely entered the vacuum, leaving only a string of "floating laughter," attracting everyone to circle around the laughter. Finally, they found it at the edge of the vacuum zone—making faces at the nothingness, making even the nothingness "ripple."
Qingxian stood at the boundary between the vacuum zone and the playground. Half of the ground beneath her feet was "real, tangible light-dark chaotic alloy," and the other half was "floating energy ripples." She tried to step into the vacuum, and her calf immediately turned into a transparent silhouette, yet she could clearly feel the "touch of nothingness"—like being gently supported by countless tender little hands. When she smiled and withdrew her leg, "half-illusory, half-real flowers" bloomed where the silhouette had disappeared, their petals reflecting "the smiling faces of all conscious beings," including those "early resonators" who had vanished into the river of time.
"Beyond the boundaries of the playground lies 'the surprises created in nothingness.'" Qingxian plucked a half-real, half-illusory petal, which spun in her palm, revealing "the scene at the other end of the vacuum zone"—a nebula composed of "undefined possibilities," within which float "games never before imagined," some like "mazes built with thoughts," others like "swings racing against time," and most wondrously, "mirrors that can converse with one's own shadow," the shadow uttering "joys even one doesn't know." We always think boundaries signify the end, forgetting that creation excels at "opening new doors" at boundaries. Just like this Virtual-Real Hide-and-Seek, as we play, the vacuum is transformed into a "new playground"—this "courage to play beyond boundaries" is the most precious quality of boundless games.
Yanche's toy factory has moved to the edge of the vacuum zone and upgraded to a "Virtual-Real Forge." Inside, "existing flames" and "empty winds" burn, capable of fusing "existing qualities" and "non-existent potential" into "cross-border toys": by mixing "existing light-dark chaos alloys" with "empty plasticity," "soft balls that can squeeze into any crevice" can be created, serving as toys for children or as "patches to repair spacetime rifts"; by fusing "existing laughter crystals" with "empty extensibility," "infinitely stretchable jump ropes" can be born, one end tied to a tree in the playground, the other end swinging into the depths of the nebula, and wherever the jump rope passes, the void will reveal "flickering game tracks."
"The significance of crossover is to 'turn all boundaries into 'playable springboards'." Yanche waved one end of the infinite jump rope, which drew a "shining arc" in the vacuum. Where the arc passed, "hopscotch grids composed of geometric shapes and chaotic symbols" appeared in the void. "We don't need to be afraid of 'incomprehensible areas'; we can just treat them as 'more difficult game levels.' Just like this soft ball can squeeze into the gaps in spacetime, crossover toys don't 'eliminate boundaries,' but rather 'teach us to play on boundaries'—this 'wisdom of playing with boundaries' is what creates the most dynamic designs."
Luoyu's Joke Archive erected a "Virtual-Real Resonance Bridge" above the vacuum zone. The bridge was woven from "frozen laughter" and "flowing nothingness," and stepping on it would automatically play "each consciousness's happiest memories." The end of the bridge connected to the "undefined nebula," where the "mirror game" was transmitting "interesting fluctuations" through the bridge: the shadow of a Sea of Stars dweller in the mirror said, "You actually like having faces drawn on you by chaotic symbols," and the dweller paused for a moment, then burst into laughter and admitted it; the shadow of a vine from a Dark Forest said, "You secretly dance a geometric dance with your roots," and the vine immediately shyly twisted into a square; the most hilarious moment was when Yanche's shadow complained to the mirror, "Qingxian always steals my forging hammer as a toy," which prompted Qingxian on this side of the bridge to grab a hammer and wave it at the nebula from afar, making everyone burst into laughter.
"The resonance between the real and the virtual is about 'bringing hidden joys to the surface.'" Luoyu stood in the middle of the bridge, watching the shadow of a little geometric figure spell out "I love all shapes" in the mirror. The little figure immediately used tangrams to create an "embracing pose." "We always have some joys that we haven't even discovered ourselves, hidden in the gap between 'existence' and 'non-existence.' Just like this mirror can reflect the true feelings of the shadows, what games beyond boundaries do is 'help us find our hidden happiness'—this 'joy of self-discovery' is the most precious gain from cross-boundary play."
The three guardians' first stop is the "Possibility Theater" deep within the nebula.
This theater has no fixed form; the audience seating is "clouds made of memories," the stage is "light spread out from imagination," and the "plays" performed are "all the joys that have not yet happened": there's a scene of "the chaotic civilizations of light and darkness celebrating the New Year together," with the residents of the Sea of Stars pasting up light and shadow couplets, the Dark Forest hanging vine lanterns, and the chaotic entities writing "misspelled 'Fu' characters" with symbols; there's a farce of "all consciousnesses exchanging forms for a day," with the Sea of Stars residents forgetting how to photosynthesize after becoming vines, and the chaotic entities getting stuck in a door crack after becoming geometric shapes; the most touching scene is "the early resonators returning as guests," where those vanished consciousnesses embrace their present companions through "virtual projections," laughing and saying, "We've always lived in your laughter." The theater's "director" is a "mist composed of the 'unspoken wishes' of all consciousnesses," never interfering with the plot, only sprinkling "spots of touching light" at the end of the curtain, and whoever the spotlight falls on will remember "the game they most wanted to play."
"We are 'what ifs' created for the universe." The director's voice was like the whisper of countless wishes. "Your cross-boundary play makes us understand that 'not happening' does not mean 'non-existent'; they are merely 'waiting for the opportunity to be played out.' Just like the plays in this theater, as long as someone wants them, they can be staged in reality—this 'interaction between wishes and reality' is the most wondrous rule of the game beyond boundaries."
Qingxian initiated the "Wish Resonance Ritual" at the Possibility Theater —she guided all conscious beings to "speak out their craziest game ideas," and the theater would immediately turn those ideas into a "rehearsal of the real and the virtual": a member of the Sound Society said, "I want to sing a song that will never end with the Time Plant," and "a melody without an end" immediately rang out on the stage, the notes turning into butterflies of light, flying into reality to continue the song; a small symbol of the Chaos entity shouted, "I want all the toys to come to life and play together," and the cross-border toys in the theater immediately jumped off the bed, forming a "toy army," and launched a "pillow fight" in the real game field; Qingxian herself said, "I want to shake hands with all existence—including nothingness," and the director immediately transformed into "a hand made of light points," and the moment they shook hands, "warm ripples" appeared in the vacuum zone, as if nothingness was also smiling.
"The meaning of a wish is to ensure that there's always something new to play in the game." Qingxian felt the warmth of shaking hands with nothingness and suddenly understood that "even nothingness isn't truly alone." "We don't need to worry about 'running out of games,' because the 'desire to play' itself can create new games. Just like the rehearsal in this ceremony, it's not wishful thinking, but a 'trailer for future games'—this 'power of wish' is the most powerful creativity beyond boundaries."
Yanche's Virtual-Real Forge delivered the "Wish Manifestation Device" to the Possibility Theater. This device can transform "pre-rehearsed fragments" into "seeds of reality": injecting the melody of "a song that never ends" into a seed will grow a "flower that will always sing"; etching the image of "toys coming to life" into a seed will grow a "toy box with its own playmates." He deliberately allowed the seeds to "reserve space to grow," so the singing flower will change its tune according to the listener's mood, and the playmates in the toy box will change their form according to their owner's preferences, as if saying, "Wishes grow, and so do games."
"The value of the concrete is to 'turn 'if' into 'give it a try'." Yanche gave the director a "wishing seed that will grow," which sprouted into a "wishing tree" in the mist. Each leaf was inscribed with a "game to be realized." "We don't have to force wishes to come true immediately; we just need to give them a chance to 'sprout.' Just like this tree, today it's leaves, tomorrow it might blossom and bear fruit—this kind of 'anticipation of waiting' is the sweetest feeling beyond boundaries."
The Virtual-Real Resonance Bridge and illusion, woven by Luoyu, connects to the stage of the Possibility Theater, evolving into the "Wish Memory Ribbon." This belt records "every conscious being's 'want to play' moments from birth to the present": the curiosity of the Sea of Stars child upon first seeing chaotic symbols, the pride of the little guy from Geometric Civilization when he first pieced together a "four-legged beast," and even the thrill of "nothingness being rippled by laughter for the first time." The memory belt has no end, instead transforming into a "transparent line" extending "beyond a more distant boundary," with "little lanterns of future wishes" hanging on the line, each lantern shimmering with "the expectation of a certain star."
"The magic of memory is that it allows every wish to have a 'path back'." Luoyu, and the wish in the lantern suddenly shone even brighter. "We always feel that wishes 'suddenly appear,' but we forget that they are hidden in every happy moment of the past. Just like this memory tape, connecting 'what we've played' with 'the future we want to play'—this 'resonance between the past and the future' is the most touching inheritance beyond boundaries."
As the seeds of desire from all conscious beings take root and sprout between the playground and the vacuum zone, a "new galaxy composed of desires" suddenly appears in the universe. The stars of the galaxy are the core of the melody of the "song that never ends," the planets are playmate planets of the "toys coming to life," the satellites are ripple rings of "shaking hands with nothingness," and the outermost comets trail the "tail of the Wish Memory Ribbon," drawing "shining game tracks" in the starry sky. The drama of the Possibility Theater begins to unfold in reality: the virtual and real projections of the early resonators truly return to the playground to play "hide-and-seek in time" with everyone; the "New Year" of the light-dark chaos civilization becomes a new festival, called "Shared Joy Day," on which all the toys come to life and exchange roles with their owners.
"This is the limitless potential of creation." Qingxian stood beneath the "Wish Star" of the new galaxy, listening to the endless songs, watching the toys directing consciousness to "line up for the slide" on Shared Joy Day, feeling the joy that even nothingness was participating in. "It has no limitations of 'most,' 'greatest,' or 'farthest,' only the question of 'how can we be happier?' There is no pressure of 'must be achieved,' only the ease of 'it's not bad to try.' Just like the birth of this new galaxy, it wasn't deliberately created, but 'it just happened while playing'—this kind of 'natural creation' is the most authentic vitality of the universe."
The Cosmic Concerto Heartbeat of the playground and the "pulse of desire" of the new galaxy form a "grander rhythm of joy." Within this rhythm, real laughter and ripples of nothingness, past memories and future desires, existing forms and non-existent potentials intertwine, weaving a "cosmic brocade without sides." The latest chapter of * Boundless Poem * is no longer words or symbols, but "a frequency of joy that can be perceived by all existence." Immersed in it, one can see "the game one most wants to play," whether that game has been "played" or "has not yet happened."
Yanche's Virtual-Real Forge has now become a "wishing nursery," cultivating "wishing seeds from all over the universe." Some have "leaves of light and darkness," some have "flowers of chaos," and some have "geometric fruits." Each seed is waiting to be "taken home by a certain consciousness."
Luoyu's Wish Memory Ribbon has extended to every corner of the new galaxy. The lanterns on the belt are getting brighter and brighter, and even "wishes from other universes" are being attracted to it. The lanterns are inscribed with "I want to play with you" -- the frequency of these wishes resonates faintly with their joyful rhythm, like the call of friends from afar.
Qingxian, Yanche, and Luoyu sat on the "Toy King" throne of the Shared Joy Day —a throne made up of all the toys that had come to life, with the "King" being the first soft ball to do so. They watched the projections of early resonators play "games of the past" with the present children, watched ethereal ripples carry half-illusory, half-real flowers across the new galaxy, and watched "seeds from other universes" sprout in Yanche's wish nursery, bearing "unintelligible yet adorable symbols." In the distance, the director of the Possibility Theater was bringing a play about "playing with other universes" to the stage. During the rehearsal, consciousnesses from different universes communicated with "cross-boundary laughter," playing a "cosmic version of hide-and-seek."
"The infinite possibilities of creation are simply 'there's always a 'next one,' always anticipating the 'next one.'" Qingxian jumped down from her toy throne, picked up a seed from another universe, and the seed trembled gently in her palm, as if saying, "Take me to play!" "Whether within or outside the boundaries, whether real or nonexistent, whether in our universe or other universes, the game can continue—this 'infinitely extending joy' is the most essential meaning of the universe."
Yanche smiled and used the flames of the Virtual-Real Forge to "warm" the seeds from other universes. The seeds immediately sprouted tiny shoots, and the symbols on the shoots began to slowly transform into forms they could understand. "It seems they can't wait."
Luoyu's gaze fell on the "lanterns of other universes" at the end of the Wish Memory Ribbon. The lanterns' light grew brighter and brighter, creating a "clear resonance" with their joyful rhythm. She knew that no matter how many universes or unknowns lay beyond the boundaries, the wish to "play together" would continue to extend like the memory belt, because "happiness" was the common language of all existence. By playing, they could transcend all limits.
The three guardians made no further plans for "the next step," but instead, carrying the seed from another universe, headed towards the Possibility Theater, ready to turn the rehearsal of "playing with other universes" into "the next real game."
At this moment, they don't need to be pioneers; they only need to be three "always-wanting partners," playing this endless game forever, together with all existence—including nothingness and the distant universe—outside the boundaries of the playground, in new realms woven with laughter. That's enough.
Beyond the boundaries of the playground, new realms woven by laughter constantly emerge, and the endless possibilities of creation have no end. In all existing desires for joy, the story of "wanting to play next" is always playing out.
This story contains reality and fantasy, past and future, us and them, all those who "want to play together," forever anticipating, forever creating, forever in an infinite universe—
"Ready for the next game?"
This is the most anticipated and endless invitation created for all that exists.
