The End of the Original Aspiration Light Band
The "New Origin" has sailed along the Original Aspiration Light Band for five whole star seasons. The circular light patterns on its hull have become completely synchronized with the energy of the light belt, like a flowing golden mark, drawing a gentle trajectory in the dark Sea of Stars.
At the end of the band of light lies an unknown star field known as the "Domain of Ignorance." The starry sky here is an eerie purplish-black, with countless irregular rocks floating in the air. These rocks are covered with thick cocoons of energy, within which signs of life can be vaguely seen, yet no fluctuations of any laws can be felt—there are no chains of cause and effect, no chaotic flow, and no familiar "Original Aspiration Energy" of the Balance Star Cluster. It is as if it is a corner forgotten by the universe.
"They are 'unawakened Law Embryo '." Ling Xi's perception node penetrated the energy cocoon, capturing the faint consciousness of the life within. "They haven't yet formed their own laws of balance, or even have a 'consciousness of their existence,' like chicks sleeping in their eggshells, enveloped in a thick energy cocoon, both safe and isolated."
Feng Hen released an energy flow of "Elastic Connection," attempting to establish a link with the energy cocoon, but was repelled by purple arcs of electricity that sprang from the cocoon's surface. The arcs contained a strong "repulsion," not a resistance to any specific law, but an instinctive defense against all external energy. "Their energy cocoons are an 'overly defensive self-protection,' much like the rigidity of the Absolute Causality Star Cluster in the past, only in a different form—one uses absolute order to isolate variables, the other uses pure repulsion to refuse contact."
Mo's chaotic form transformed into a wisp of smoke, seeping into the nearest rock. He could sense the core of the energy cocoon, where a consciousness composed of primal desires was curled up—only the instincts of "survival" and "possession," without the concepts of "symbiosis" or "sharing," just like the most primitive life form in the early days of the universe.
"It's not that they lack laws, it's that their laws are still stuck at the 'most primitive balance of survival.'" Mo's consciousness coalesced in the bridge, and the chaotic entity displayed the scene within the cocoon: the life forms beneath the rocks were constantly engaged in primitive battles for energy. The victors devoured the energy of the losers to grow stronger, while the remains of the losers became nutrients for the rocks, forming a closed loop of "survival of the fittest." "For them, balance means 'survival,' and everything else is a threat."
The energy of the Original Aspiration Light Band began to weaken at the edge of the Domain of Ignorance, its golden light swallowed by the purplish-black starry sky, like a gentle boundary separating two completely different worlds. The three new Guardians faced a difficult choice: to forcibly break the energy cocoon, injecting the energy of the Original Aspiration Light Band to awaken their "symbiotic consciousness," or to respect their primal balance and let this star field fend for itself in its ignorance?
"Forced intervention will only repeat the mistakes of the ' Law Storm '." Ling Xi pulled up the historical records of the Balance Star Cluster. The screen flashed an image of the Balance Star Cluster attempting to transform the Entropy Increase Star Cluster with "Absolute Balance," nearly causing the cluster's collapse. "Every Mingdu its own pace of awakening, just as children don't grow up prematurely because of adults' urging."
The Feng Hen pointed to a crack in the energy cocoon—in the most intense part of the primal battle, the energy cocoon showed a slight tear, from which a faint trace of "empathic energy" seeped out: it was a weak life about to be devoured, conveying the consciousness of "pain" to the attacker at the last moment, causing the attacker to hesitate for a moment.
"Their original aspirations haven't disappeared; they've just been obscured by their survival instincts." A light shone in Feng Hen's eyes. "Like the starry sky of the Domain of Ignorance, starlight must be hidden beneath the purplish-black. Our task isn't to illuminate them, but to help them find their own source of light."
Mo proposed a completely new solution. "Replace 'energy injection' with ' Mirror Projection '. Instead of directly transmitting the energy of the Original Aspiration Light Band, we project the symbiotic scene of the Balance Star Cluster through cracks in the energy cocoon, allowing them to see another possibility of 'survival' amidst the primal battle."
This plan requires the three guardians to merge their powers to create a "non-interference connection" —Ling Xi's Variable Energy constructs a "possibility channel" to ensure that the image can penetrate the energy cocoon's defenses; Feng Hen's Elastic Connection Energy maintains a "safe distance" to prevent the image from causing excessive repulsion; and Mo's chaotic body injects "empathy factors" so that the life inside the cocoon can understand the emotions in the image.
When the first image was successfully projected, the battle within the energy cocoon suddenly ceased.
In the scene, the inhabitants of the Balance Star Cluster share energy. The dual-color light of the Prism Plane powers the rings of the Star-Ring Plane, while the Emotional Gravity of the Star-Ring Plane guides the energy clouds of the Migration Plane. There is no fighting, no possession, only the warmth of mutual support. The primordial life within the cocoon ceases its attack, and for the first time, "confusion" appears in their purple eyes—they cannot comprehend the logic of "surviving without devouring," yet they are deeply attracted by the harmony in the scene.
The "Mirror Projection" lasted for a full stellar cycle. They projected the "Elastic Causality" of the Absolute Causality Star Cluster, demonstrating that "order that is not absolute can also be stable"; they projected the "Guardian Vortex" of the Entropy Increase Star Cluster, proving that "gentleness can exist even in disorder"; and finally, they projected the growth process of the Tree of Balance, allowing them to see that "all life is inherently a mutually nourishing whole."
Change happens gradually and imperceptibly.
The purple arcs of electricity from the energy cocoon gradually softened, no longer actively attacking the approaching "New Origin"; the frequency of fighting within the cocoon decreased, and occasionally, when life forms were vying for energy, they would deliberately leave a scrap for the weaker ones; most surprisingly, on two adjacent rocks, the energy cocoons began to exchange faint energy fluctuations, as if engaging in the most primal form of "communication."
"They are redefining their 'survival balance'." Ling Xi's sensory nodes captured the changes in consciousness within the cocoon; primal desires were beginning to be mixed with "curiosity" and "exploration." "Like babies learning to walk, they are moving slowly, but they are moving towards symbiosis."
Feng Hen watched the fluctuations transmitted between the energy cocoons and smiled, saying, "This is the true essence of balance—not for all life to follow the same laws, but for each life to find its own way of coexisting within its own rhythm. The balance of the Domain of Ignorance doesn't have to be the same as ours; as long as they can move from 'only fighting' to 'occasionally sharing,' that will be a huge step forward."
When they left the Domain of Ignorance, the three new Guardians did not break the energy cocoon, but instead left behind a "Mirror Lighthouse" at the edge of the star field. The lighthouse will continue to project images of the Balance Star Cluster, but will not force them to accept them, just like a book placed by the roadside, which those who are willing to read will naturally pick up.
During the return journey of the "New Origin," a faint purple light pattern appeared at the end of the Original Aspiration Light Band. This light pattern intertwined with the golden light band, forming a new "Transition Light Band"—within the light band, the primordial repulsive energy and the gentle Original Aspiration Energy probed and merged with each other, like the hand of the Domain of Ignorance reaching out to the Balance Star Cluster.
"The new definition of balance is 'allowing different balances to coexist.'" Ink's chaotic form stretched out in the bridge, reflecting the trajectory of the Transition Light Band. "Like the primordial balance of the Domain of Ignorance, the symbiotic balance of the Balance Star Cluster, and the 'nothingness' balance of the Law Silence Zone, they have no distinction of high or low, only differences, and all these differences together constitute the completeness of the universe."
Ling Xi's fingertips traced a circular pattern of light, within which emerged a purple band of light from the Domain of Ignorance: "Our journey is not to find the 'single correct balance,' but to prove that 'all balances have their meaning.' Just as the Original Aspiration Light Band will not be diminished by the purple of the Domain of Ignorance, but will instead shine even brighter because of this new pattern."
In his journal, Feng Hen wrote the last line, "The exploration of balance is about enabling each star field to find its own ray of light in its own cosmos. And we are merely messengers delivering that starlight."
The silhouette of the "New Origin" disappeared at the intersection of the Original Aspiration Light Band and the purple light patterns. Behind the ship, the Transition Light Band was slowly extending, connecting the primordial nature of the Domain of Ignorance with the warmth of the Balance Star Cluster. No one knows what the Domain of Ignorance will eventually evolve into. Perhaps it will become another Absolute Causality Star Cluster, perhaps it will move towards the disorder of the Entropy Increase Star Cluster, or perhaps it will create a completely new and unpredictable state of balance.
But that doesn't matter anymore.
Importantly, the Mirror Lighthouse of "New Origin" is still flashing, the energy of the Transition Light Band is still flowing, and the life in the Domain of Ignorance is redefining the meaning of "survival" in its own way—and this is the most touching form of balance: imperfect, yet growing; not unified, yet connecting; at the boundary between the known and the unknown, forever maintaining the courage to reach out to each other.
Deep within the Sea of Stars, at the end of the Original Aspiration Light Band, a new story of balance is quietly unfolding.
