Holy Soul Village

Lin Ye transmigrated to Douluo Continent seven years before his introduction. The original owner of his body had lost his parents, and Village Chief Jack raised him. Lin Ye retained knowledge of Tang San’s future and initially intended to grow alongside him as a discreet guardian rather than openly interfere with his path 1.

His Golden Crow bloodline accompanied his transmigration. Aware that exceptional talent could attract dangerous attention, he concealed its strength and pretended not to recognize his own martial soul. When Su Yuntao offered him special training through Spirit Hall, Lin Ye refused so that he could attend Nuoding Academy with Tang San 1.

Nuoding Academy

Lin Ye defeated Wang Sheng shortly after entering Dormitory Seven and became its boss. He encouraged Tang San to cultivate Blue Silver Grass through its life force, supported his decision to explore that path independently, and deliberately gave weak demonstrations of his own abilities in class 2.

After helping Xiao Wu rescue Shi Cun from older students, Lin Ye agreed to search for Warm Sun Grass to treat Shi Cun’s sister. The resulting forest expedition revealed the compatibility between his flames and Tang San’s martial soul. Yu Xiaogang subsequently recognized the Three-Legged Golden Crow and corrected Lin Ye’s excessive focus on fire, earning his respect as a teacher 3 4.

Shrek Academy and the Tournament

Spirit Hall’s surveillance prompted Lin Ye, Tang San, and Xiao Wu to flee Nuoding Academy at night. They entered Shrek Academy after passing Zhao Wuji’s test, then trained to combine Tang San’s control abilities with Lin Ye’s attacks and healing support 5 6.

During the academy tournament, Lin Ye helped counter Yu Tianheng and disrupted Godwind Academy’s Soul Power. When Xie Yue and Hu Liena attacked Shrek’s hotel, he targeted a weakness in their Demonic Moon fusion skill, allowing Tang San to follow with a Clear Sky Hammer strike. Their success intensified Spirit Hall’s interest in them 8 9 10.

Capture and Rescue

At the sacred altar, Lin Ye received the Golden Crow statue’s inheritance before Yue Guan attacked. He stayed behind to delay the pursuers while Tang San escaped with the others and the seven-colored Soul Bone, eventually collapsing from his injuries 14.

Yue Guan imprisoned him in a Soul Locking Cage and extracted his Soul Power essence. Lin Ye used Golden Crow Nirvana to shatter the cage and defeat the guards, but its backlash left him helpless against Yue Guan. Tang Hao intervened, defeated Yue Guan, and brought Lin Ye back to his companions 15 16.

The Crown Prince Conspiracy

After recovering at Heaven Dou Imperial Academy, Lin Ye joined the investigation into Spirit Hall’s replacement of Crown Prince Xue Qinghe. During Salas’s ambush, he again used Golden Crow Nirvana to cover Tang San and the injured Xiao Wu, remaining behind until allied reinforcements arrived 18 19.

Lin Ye and Tang San later helped treat the real Xue Qinghe at Moonlight Pavilion. He stayed with Tang San and Xiao Wu to assist Tang Yuehua during the breakout, then fought with the alliance at the ancestral rite where the impostor was exposed 20 21 23.

Near-Death and the Azure Lotus Quest

During the Soul Bone expedition, the Netherworld Ghost Claw gravely damaged Lin Ye’s origin. Blood Dragon Fruit slowed his decline, but ordinary treatment, Spring Water of Life, and the Azure Lotus Soul Bone could only keep him alive. Tang San entered his sea of consciousness through a blood-linked Life Pact and used his own life force to help awaken Lin Ye’s Golden Crow flames 26 27.

The resulting nirvana restored Lin Ye and fused his fire with Azure Lotus life energy. He then helped steal a Soul Bone fragment from Spirit Hall’s sanctuary while Tang Hao and Tang Xiao held off Bibi Dong. Back in Heaven Dou City, he strengthened the defensive arrays and watched for the return of Dai Mubai’s northern expedition 27 28 29.

Protecting the Continent’s Balance

In the Far North, Lin Ye helped destroy a Darkness Fragment and later shattered the black crystal sustaining an attempt to release the Nine-Headed Ice Serpent. He fought beside Tang San to restrain the serpent and carried him out after the seal was restored 32 34.

Against the Shadow Pavilion, he combined Golden Crow Fire with Tang San’s Chaos Azure Lotus to destroy the God-Eroding Blade. He also defended Heaven Dou City and retrieved a Sea God Trident fragment in the Deep Sea Forbidden Land, where Xiao Wu was wounded protecting him 36 38 40.

Afterward, Lin Ye proposed an organization dedicated to maintaining balance rather than merely defeating enemies. His suggested duties included monitoring the Far North’s seal, protecting Soul Beasts in Sunset Forest, and preventing the abuse of forging techniques in Gengxin City. He continued confronting disturbances, including corrupted plants, Li Mo’s spatial passage, and reports of hostile shadows from another timeline 41 42 43 46 49.

Mechanic Race and the Seed of Annihilation

Lin Ye helped investigate energy-devouring mystic iron in Sunset Forest and agreed to establish monitoring stations at energy-cycle nodes. During the Mechanic Race attacks, he fought at Gengxin City before taking Tai Long north to defend the array on the Far North Ice Plains 52 53.

He and Tang San restored the rebel Blue Crystal’s consciousness. While Tang San sought the rebels’ alliance, Lin Ye prepared the continent’s defenses and warned Soul Master forces of the approaching invasion. He later helped activate the mirror field used to counter the Seed of Annihilation’s corruption 57 62.

Personality

Lin Ye is cautious about revealing his advantages. He disguises the Three-Legged Golden Crow as an ordinary bird martial soul, restrains his Soul Power in public tests, and allows teachers and classmates to underestimate him. His restraint reflects an awareness of the danger posed by exposing extraordinary talent too early 1 2 4.

His loyalty repeatedly overrides that caution when companions are threatened. He stays behind against stronger enemies and uses Golden Crow Nirvana despite knowing its cost. This protectiveness can become impatience: after his rescue, he argues with Tang San over whether remaining in hiding is prudent or merely passive, then apologizes when Xiao Wu intervenes 14 16 19.

Lin Ye is also willing to revise his understanding. He accepts Yu Xiaogang’s correction of his cultivation approach and, after his revival, recognizes companionship as mutual support rather than one person continually sacrificing for another 4 27.
