Great Strength Gorilla and Jade Phosphorous Serpent (Part 2)

Compared to the bustle when Ling Bai had first arrived, Shrek's outer courtyard was exceptionally quiet at night. The new student enrollment had fully concluded, and after a day of classes, the older students were all meditating in their dormitories, diligently cultivating their Soul Power.

Along the way, they did not encounter a single student, only the occasional patrolling teacher.

A quarter of an hour later, the group arrived at Sea God Lake. Gentle ripples rose and fell across its surface, watery waves slowly spreading outward. Unlike its jewel-like azure hue during the day, Sea God Lake seemed all the more tranquil and mysterious at night beneath the glow of Soul Guidance Lamps.

Zhang Lexuan swept her gaze over the six new students and smiled. "You're all inner courtyard students. Crossing Sea God Lake shouldn't be difficult for you, right?"

"Eldest Senior Sister, you're looking down on us too much!"

The auxiliary-system girl's rosy lips pouted hard enough to hang an oil flask from them. The others were much the same, all protesting that Zhang Lexuan did not regard them as inner courtyard students.

"Fine. Then I'll wait for you on the other side."

Zhang Lexuan rose into the air out of nowhere. Without releasing her Martial Soul or Soul Rings, she vanished like a gust of wind.

"Eldest Senior Sister is at least a Soul Sage, right?"

the plant-system boy guessed.

"Perhaps a Soul Douluo," the beautiful emerald green-haired girl said softly.

"Who cares what cultivation Eldest Senior Sister has? Let's get across first!"

The auxiliary-system girl took out a pink, wing-shaped Soul Tool. After strapping it to her back, she brought her hands together before her chest and began chanting:

Only food-system Soul Masters needed to chant Soul Incantations when using Soul Skills. Ling Bai showed an interested expression as he watched the food-system girl. Soul Engineer plus food-system—it was a rather excellent combination.

"Second Soul Skill, Qi-Raising Light Body Little Peach!"

The food-system girl gave a light shout, and a rosy peach appeared. She wolfed it down in a few bites, then waved at everyone.

"Everyone, I'll be going on ahead!"

A roar rang out as the Soul Guidance Thruster blasted out two jets of pink flame, carrying her toward the opposite shore like a shooting star.

"Soul Tools really are convenient. I should get one to play with when I have the chance," the plant-system boy muttered as he watched the pink meteor.

The next second, a green blur flashed past him. It was the beautiful girl with emerald green short hair.

She had already released her Martial Soul. An emerald green diamond-shaped scale had appeared between her brows, and her full, alluring body seemed to have become bonelessly supple. Her legs fused together, turning into a long emerald green snake tail.

"Jade Phosphorous Serpent..."

Ling Bai recognized the Martial Soul.

Before leaving, she deliberately raised an eyebrow at Ling Bai, her meaning profound.

"Brothers, we can't let the girls leave us behind!"

The plant-system boy refused to be outdone. A slender blue-purple vine grew from his palm, and a faint aura of life spread through the air. Two yellow and two purple Soul Rings pulsed around the vine.

The burliest boy among them walked over and asked Chu Qingtian.

The boy trusted Chu Qingtian greatly. He turned and held out his hand to Ling Bai. "Tai Xing. Martial Soul: Great Strength Gorilla."

"Hello."

Ling Bai clasped his hand. Tai Xing's palm was broad and scorching hot; he was clearly a Soul Master with vigorous blood and vitality.

Chu Qingtian laughed heartily and patted Tai Xing's muscular chest. "Brother Ling, Tai Xing was my roommate for six years in the outer courtyard, and he's also my best friend."

"Tai surname, Great Strength Gorilla..."

Ling Bai narrowed his golden eyes. "The Tang Sect's Single-Attribute Four Clans?"

He looked back. Where water columns exploded was Tai Xing, while the figure shooting out vines from his fingertips was the plant-system boy.

Where was Ling Bai?

"Looking for me?"

A teasing voice suddenly sounded above his head. Chu Qingtian instinctively looked up and saw Angel Wings spread behind Ling Bai. He stood tall, smiling faintly, his golden hair streaming backward in the howling wind. Under the frosty moonlight, he looked as flawless as jade.

Angels really are damn handsome...

For the first time in his life, Chu Qingtian felt that running across the water was lame as hell!
