Haoyue rose from a poor boy with rare magical talent to a Level 9 Great Mage Master, gaining royal favor, surviving the Magical Beasts Mountain Range, and helping Linley through heartbreak. The arc leaves Haoyue searching the mountains for a Saint-level dragon before Linley can encounter the Spined Ironclad Dragon.

• Haoyue awakened the Hextech System, gained the Dragonheart Hextech, and tested into the Ernst Institute with supreme Water, Fire, and Earth affinity.
• Haoyue trained for years, became a Level 6 warrior and magus, tamed the Velocidragon Wang Xun, and chose the Overflow Hex.
• Haoyue befriended Linley, graduated as a Level 7 Mage, and accepted King Clayde’s appointment as the Fenlai Kingdom’s first court mage and Marquis of Three Elements.
• Haoyue revealed to Hogg that Lina had been sacrificed by the Radiant Church, then helped Hogg’s family leave for the O’Brien Empire while he remained in Fenlai.
• Haoyue learned Flat Blade Style carving from Doehring Cowart, reached Level 8 in magic, and found Moonshadow Grass in the Magical Beasts Mountain Range, which removed his Tiger-Stripe backlash and advanced his warrior cultivation.
• Linley became involved with Alice, then suffered when she chose Kalan, and Haoyue comforted him as Linley resolved to grow stronger.
• Haoyue and Linley advanced to Level 9 and Level 7 in their respective magic paths, while Haoyue gained Heavyweight Striker from the Hextech System.
• Haoyue entered the Magical Beasts Mountain Range to seek a Saint-level dragon before Linley encountered the Spined Ironclad Dragon.
