The raging winds were still sweeping around.

The massive body of the Ye stood between the two groups of people, its gray-white skeletal mask exuding an eerie chill under the dim light of the sky, its yellow vertical pupils indifferently looking down at the group of men in black below.

The howling air currents whipped up gravel and dust, sending them swirling through the air.

Caught off guard, the elite black-clad warriors led by Il raised their arms to shield their faces, barely managing to withstand the fierce wind pressure generated by the flapping wings of the flying Shikigami.

"What is that? It's huge!"

"Warcraft! This must be Warcraft!"

"Why does it have a mask on its face? Is it really just a magical beast?!"

The toughness and arrogance they had displayed earlier were gone from their faces, replaced by undisguised horror and instinctive fear.

Their mission was merely to probe the strength of the Rust Remains Alliance on the orders of Grey Elder.

The bottom line that Grey Elder had given was just to create some friction and test Jiang Ye's strength. He never expected that Jiang Ye would actually possess such terrifying power.

The sheer force of the giant, strange bird that had appeared out of nowhere was enough to make them stagger with just the force of its wingsbeat. If they were to fight with all their might, this group of people wouldn't last a moment.

"What kind of monster is this?"

Il's heart pounded wildly, and a chill ran down his spine to the top of his head.

He suppressed the turmoil surging within him, took half a step forward, raised his voice, and tried to use the name of the Grey Elder to quell the situation.

"Rust Remains Alliance! We are here on Elder Grey Elder's orders!"

Il's voice was distorted by the strong wind as he stared intently at the Nue high above, his voice sharp but his tone weak as he questioned it.

"Could it be that you intend to openly defy the elders' will?!"

As the words fell, a strong, muscular figure slowly emerged from the shadow of the Nue's broad wings.

Jiang Ye's old coat fluttered in the strong wind, a half-smile playing on his lips as he calmly fixed his gaze on Il.

"Follow the Grey Elder's orders?"

He spoke slowly, his words not loud, yet they pierced the howling wind and reached everyone's ears.

"Then I'll have to ask you properly, what business do you want to come here?"

Jiang Ye's gaze swept over the crisscrossing wounds on Gray Beak's body, the torn fabric still seeping faint traces of blood.

"You've injured my men like this, and this is what you're supposed to do?"

At this point, the faint smile on Jiang Ye's face vanished completely.

A chilling, bone-chilling killing intent emanated from him like a tidal wave.

A chilling sense of oppression enveloped the entire open space, as if the surrounding air had dropped several degrees, making one's chest feel tight and one's heart tremble uncontrollably.

He narrowed his eyes slightly, his voice as cold as if it had been tempered with ice.

"What you're talking about doing... could it be that you're here to kill me?"

These words resonated deeply, and the moment they fell silent, the entire battlefield fell into a deathly stillness.

Only the low hum of the nue's wings stirring the air continued to echo.

Under the combined pressure of Jiang Ye's murderous aura and the first-class Shikigami Nue, fine beads of cold sweat continuously seeped from Il's forehead, slowly sliding down his cheeks.

A deep sense of regret welled up in his heart.

Before he came, Grey Elder only told him to come and test him, but he never told him that the young leader of the Rust Remains Alliance would be so terrifying.

If he had known it would turn out this way, he would never have taken on this job.

His lips moved, as if he wanted to speak up and try to explain, but before Il could utter a single word...

Jiang Ye turned his head to the side, his gaze falling on the wounded Gray Beak beside him, and calmly gave the order.

"Gray Beak."

"Hit him back the way he hit you."

Upon hearing this, Gray Beak raised his hand to wipe the blood still flowing from the corner of his mouth, a chilling glint flashing in his eyes.

He took a few steps forward and came straight to Il. The short sword in his hand was wrapped in layers of Nen, and a pale white aura covered the blade. He raised his arm and slammed it down with a heavy blow!

Bang!

The heavy Nen impact landed directly on Il's shoulder.

Ilben was overwhelmed by the oppressive aura of the Nue, his blood and qi churning, and he had no strength left to fully parry the attack. A sharp pain shot through his bones, and his knees buckled uncontrollably, causing him to kneel heavily on the gravel ground with a thud.

A sharp pain shot through his shoulder and spread throughout his body. Il gritted his teeth, trying to struggle to lift his head, open his mouth to beg for mercy, and try to use his status as an elder to continue to exert pressure.

"You...!"

But it was too late.

The ye high in the sky had already moved.

Beneath the mask, a cold glint flashed in the yellow vertical pupils, and crackling sounds arose from the surface of the enormous wings as streaks of purple-blue lightning instantly coiled around them, the sparks leaping and flashing.

Swish!

Several bolts of lightning, crackling with thunder, tore through the air, sweeping across the remaining group of black-clad men behind Il like falling purple lightning whips.

Before they could even scream properly, a large number of black-clad guards were pierced by lightning and fell straight to the ground.

In the blink of an eye, they all perished, large amounts of warm blood flowing through the cracks in the rubble, a few drops of warm blood splashing and landing on the cheek of Il, who was kneeling on the ground.

The warm, sticky sensation sent a shiver down Il's spine, making him feel as if he had fallen into an ice cellar, his blood almost freezing.

All that remained were the soft thuds of corpses falling to the ground and the faint crackling sounds of lightning dissipating.

Of the entire site, only Il remained alive.

Jiang Ye stood still, coldly looking down at Il, who was kneeling on the ground trembling. His voice was devoid of any warmth as he slowly spoke.

"Go back and tell Grey Elder."

"I will personally visit him in three days."
