Jiang Ye took over the Rust Bone Gang, expanded its ranks, and prepared it for a fight against the Shattered Iron Group and Gray Rat Squad. After defeating both groups’ fighters in battle, he confronted their leaders at a line drawn in liquor.

• Jiang Ye awakened the Ten Shadows Technique, tamed Rabbit Escape, and met Chrollo Lucilfer, who offered him the choice to stay in Meteor City or leave with him.
• Jiang Ye killed Dodge Daichi, took command of the Rust Bone Gang, ended its human trafficking, and ordered the gang to absorb small groups as vassals.
• Jiang Ye taught Nen to Iron Wall, Gray Beak, and Shattered Eye, and they swore vows of loyalty while he made a reciprocal vow to protect them.
• Jiang Ye prepared the gang for an attack by the Shattered Iron Group and Gray Rat Squad, tamed Toad, and secured Bago and his men as followers.
• Iron Wall, Gray Beak, Shattered Eye, and Bago led the Rust Bone Gang against more than eighty opposing fighters, killing or driving off over half in under fifteen minutes.
• Tie Liao and Shu Mu moved to join the fight, but Jiang Ye appeared before them and warned that anyone who crossed his line drawn in liquor would die.

Jiang Ye defeated the forces challenging the Rust Bone Gang, united District 13 under the Rust Remains Alliance, and began building its strength while navigating Grey Elder’s authority and Nubia’s threats. After killing Nubia’s envoy and continuing his training, Jiang Ye received word that Illumi Zoldyck had arrived.

• Machi reported on the fighting, while Chrollo forbade the Phantom Troupe from intervening because he wanted to observe Jiang Ye.
• Jiang Ye defeated Tie Liao and captured Shu Mu, then learned Grey Elder had orchestrated the conflict and that Tie Liao belonged to the Dawn Society.
• Jiang Ye killed Tie Liao, survived Shu Mu’s explosive trap with Toad’s protection, and forced the surviving fighters to submit.
• Jiang Ye formed the Rust Remains Alliance, gathered the rival gangs’ supplies, and organized its leaders and resources as the Dawn Society threatened retaliation.
• Jiang Ye met Grey Elder, who accepted his control of the Alliance while requiring him to obey Grey Elder’s orders.
• Jiang Ye began intensive physical and combat training with Bago, improving his stamina, strength, and fighting ability.
• Jiang Ye killed Nubia’s envoy Bo Tong, concealed the death, and vowed to make Nubia kneel before him.
• After more training, Jiang Ye learned that Illumi Zoldyck had arrived and ordered Iron Wall to bring him in.

Jiang Ye traded access to District 13 for the Zoldyck Family’s assassination training, gained Nue, and uncovered a Hunter License and Greed Island ring. After defeating the Dawn Society and Grey Elder’s forces with the Rust Remains Alliance, he made a deal with Chrollo and turned toward the Ten Dons.

• Jiang Ye made a Nen vow with Illumi Zoldyck, traded intelligence and access to District 13 for the Zoldyck Family’s training methods, and helped Illumi capture his target.
• Jiang Ye completed the Zoldyck training and tamed Nue through an Exorcism Ritual, then fought off Yi Er’s men and found a dead bounty hunter’s treasure, Hunter License, and Greed Island entry ring.
• After Nubia and Grey Elder mobilized against him, Jiang Ye prepared the Rust Remains Alliance for battle and used hidden firearms to halt the Dawn Society’s advance.
• Jiang Ye fought Nubia with Divine Dog: Totality and trapped him in the shadows of the battlefield, breaking the Dawn Society’s resolve as Grey Elder’s forces attacked.
• Jiang Ye summoned Max Elephant against Nubia and the flag bearers, but the enormous Shikigami turned on him as his Aura ran low.
• Chrollo Lucilfer diverted Max Elephant’s charge, and Jiang Ye resealed it in his shadow with help from his Shikigami.
• Chrollo blocked Nubia and agreed with Jiang Ye to take half of District 13, prompting Nubia and Grey Elder’s gunmen to withdraw.
• Jiang Ye collapsed from exhaustion and learned Grey Elder’s armored guard had gone to Central City, where Jiang Ye prepared to face the Ten Dons.
