Eighth-Grade Bloodline, Nine-Layered Thunder Blade
[Name: Li Jing] [Bloodline: Earth Humans (eighth grade)] [Strength: Beginner Warlord martial artist / Apprentice Level Four (punching force: 14,400 kilograms, speed: 122 meters per second, neural reaction: excellent at Beginner Warlord level, qualified at Intermediate War General level)] [Will: Intermediate War General] [Special talent: Junior Blade Technique Talent] [Movement technique: Perfect Level, minor accomplishment] [Blade technique: Perfect Level, beginner mastery] [Items: series 5 combat suit, Junior Beast General Twin-Tailed Tiger Cat materials... assorted series 3 equipment... assorted Advanced Beast Soldier monster materials]
Compared to before, Li Jing's strength and talents had improved through card draws, and his personal attribute panel was no longer so bare. It had become quite luxurious.
The bloodline entry was just as Li Jing had expected. Although he was still an Earthling, his bloodline grade had risen to eighth, surpassing the ninth grade of Earthlings.
At this rate, could I become the first Earthling with a first-grade bloodline?
Li Jing rubbed his chin, the thought suddenly occurring to him.
As far as he knew, the future Luo Feng, Hong, and Thunder God, Earth's three great powerhouses-
At their core, they no longer counted as having Earthling bloodlines.
The bloodline improvements he gained by using Aptitude Cards to improve his cultivation aptitude, however, did not change his bloodline. They built upon his Earthling bloodline.
By that reckoning, he would be the true heir of Earth in the future!
He shook his head, banishing the thought.
In the Devouring Universe, bloodline was not important. After Luo Feng took over the Golden Horned Beast's body, he was no longer even human, but as long as his soul remained human and he recognized himself as a member of the human race, he still counted as human.
Compared to changing species outright, merely changing one's bloodline was something no one cared about.
If he had not discovered that Aptitude Cards could improve an Earthling bloodline, Li Jing would have gotten himself an S-grade bloodline evolution potion to use sooner or later.
After gathering up the pile of assorted equipment and materials he had drawn, Li Jing opened the Limits Dojo's Limit Home store and decided to buy equipment and manuals.
A series 6 combat suit, a series 6 Blood Shadow No. 3 battle blade, and a series 6 Hexagonal Shield, all suited for Advanced General Level experts to fight and kill with, plus small accessories such as a backpack, communicator, and watch.
The full price came to 102 million Huaxia Currency. It used up the entire 100 million allowance Luo Feng had given him, and he had to put in the remaining two million Huaxia Currency from his bank account as well.
There was no helping it. To buy at half price, he needed at least one-star contribution points. Li Jing had none at all, so he could only pay full price.
After all, what Luo Feng had given Li Jing was not cash, but a purchase allowance for the Limit Home store.
Otherwise, Li Jing could have asked Instructor Jiang Nian to buy the goods for him and saved a whopping half of the cost.
Could City Lord Luo have forgotten that I'm just a newcomer with zero contribution points, and that his investment of 100 million Huaxia Currency would only have the effect of 50 million?
The Limits Dojo too. They didn't even waive the contribution-point requirement for a first purchase.
It seems Luo Feng was in the same situation back then, but he had cash on hand, so he transferred it to someone else and had them buy things for him.
Li Jing looked at his empty account and thought to himself.
The equipment had been purchased. The only thing left was a manual.
The contract offered by the Limits Dojo stipulated that Li Jing could obtain the first three levels of any one manual for free at Limit Home.
Li Jing specialized in blade techniques, so naturally, he chose the most profound blade technique manual on Earth-the Nine-Layered Thunder Blade, created by Thunder God.
The first three forms of the Nine-Layered Thunder Blade cost 200 million Huaxia Currency at full price, and he got them for free!
The Limit Home store shipped quickly. Not long after Li Jing placed his order, a uniformed employee arrived at his door with the delivery.
"Mr. Li Jing, these are the items you purchased from Limit Home. Please check and accept them."
There were two sealed alloy cases in the delivery.
The employee first handed him the larger one. "This contains the combat suit and other equipment you purchased."
Next, he took out a portable computer and had Li Jing verify his fingerprint. After Li Jing passed the verification and signed a confidentiality agreement, the employee took out the second, slightly smaller sealed alloy case.
"This contains the manual for the first three forms of the Nine-Layered Thunder Blade that you purchased. The copyright to the Nine-Layered Thunder Blade belongs to Chairman Thunder God. After purchasing it, you have only the right to learn and use it. Unauthorized copying and teaching are prohibited. Violators will be hunted down jointly."
The employee gave the warning with a serious expression.
Li Jing nodded to show he understood and accepted the alloy case containing the manual for the first three forms of the Nine-Layered Thunder Blade.
After the delivery employee left, Li Jing carried the two cases back to the second-floor training room.
There was no need to dwell on the series 6 combat suit and other equipment. Li Jing opened the other case, the one containing the manual.
Inside were the manual and an instructional disc.
He eagerly opened the manual. The single character "fast" leaped into his sight like a flash of lightning, piercing straight toward the space between his brows.
Ignoring the effect Thunder God had deliberately created, Li Jing read the rest of the manual.
His Junior Blade Technique Talent made him feel entranced by any blade technique, and he soon became immersed in it.
Without realizing it, he took up his newly purchased series 6 battle blade and practiced the first form's blade technique according to the manual. Only after a long while did he lower his blade and stand still.
"I see. So that's how the force is exerted. No wonder mastering it produces two layers of hidden force, each with 0.7 times the power, for a total output of 1.4 times the force." Li Jing nodded thoughtfully.
That round of practice had brought him great gains. Before long, he would be able to break through and master the First Form of the Ninefold Thunder Blade, achieving an output of 1.4 times his force.
Junior Blade Technique Talent was indeed extraordinary, worthy of a quality obtained only from a purple legendary SSR card.
It's getting late. I'll rest first, then deal with the equipment and materials from the card draws tomorrow before setting out for the Wilderness Zone!
My physical attributes are already approaching the Intermediate War General level. With my Minute Subtlety Level Movement Technique and Perfect Level blade technique, I'm strong enough to fight an Intermediate Beast General Level monster.
As long as I stay out of the big cities and operate only in small cities, or even county towns, my safety will be assured!
I'll hone myself first and get used to the Wilderness Zone's environment and fighting rhythm before venturing into the big cities.
That's the real holy land for making money, enough to let Li Jing grow stronger quickly.
Li Jing had not forgotten that he needed to earn nine billion Huaxia Currency in the twenty-odd days remaining.
He hoped to secure the only limited UR in the current card pool: Peak Apprentice Level Spiritual Force Talent.
This was a tier above even his Junior Blade Technique Talent, and it was the same one Luo Feng had.
In the early stages of cultivation, a spirit reader was far stronger than a martial artist.
Not only would a spirit reader's strength remain two levels above their own martial artist realm until they exhausted the Spiritual Force they were born with in their mind,
their flexibility and safety in battle were also far beyond what hard-pressed martial artists could match.
In open terrain, if a spirit reader and a martial artist of the same level fought to the death, the spirit reader could lead the martial artist around like a dog.
Even in the universe, spirit readers held every advantage in the early stages.
And a spirit reader's talent was mostly innate; there was practically no way to change it afterward.
If he missed this limited card pool, Li Jing did not know whether he would have another chance to draw it.
Twenty-odd days, nine billion Huaxia Currency. I'm going all in!
