Registering as a Universe Citizen, selling treasures, 35.2 billion Black Dragon Coins
As the Black Rock C6 spaceship carrying Li Jing gradually slowed to below the speed of light, it left the Dark Universe.
"Exterior simulation on, 100%!"
Qiu Long Star appeared before Li Jing's eyes. With two satellites and an atmosphere radiating wondrous colors, the most prosperous commercial planet within hundreds of thousands of light-years looked like a land from a dream.
The spaceship adjusted course and approached Qiu Long Star. It soon received a docking signal from the planet's spaceport and came to rest in the C-class spaceship area.
Inside the cabin, Li Jing took a deep breath. He knew that the most dangerous stretch of his journey before registering as a Universe Citizen was about to begin.
The emerald-green Cloud-Touching Vine wound around him, forming a suit of Moyun inner armor, over which he donned the Black God Set, a First-Order Force Battle Suit.
Next, he took two black liquid-metal robots out of his Space Ring.
Like the Flowing Silver Guard, the Crystal Flow Guard was a type of bodyguard robot commonly used by the core descendants of major powers in the universe.
Though not particularly strong in a head-on fight, they were excellent at protecting their charges and tying up opponents.
Working together, two Crystal Flow Guards would take even a Universe Level powerhouse some effort to shake off.
They were what Li Jing was relying on to cross the stretch from the spaceport to Qiu Long City, where Qiu Long Star's laws offered no protection.
The spaceship's hatch opened, and Li Jing descended with an air of supreme arrogance, followed by the two Crystal Flow Guards.
"Young master, the spaceport's docking fee is 600 Black Dragon Coins per year. Anything less than a year is charged as a full year. Would that be all right?"
C-class spaceships were usually used by Universe Level powerhouses, so their owners naturally didn't have to line up and pay the fee themselves like those with A-class and B-class spaceships. Instead, dedicated staff came to help them.
The staff member saw that the owner of this expensive C-class spaceship was only a young man at Planetary Level, with two highly renowned Crystal Flow Guards at his side.
He was startled. Which major power's young master has come out to gain experience this time? I absolutely can't afford to offend him!
Convinced that Li Jing had a powerful background, the staff member became even more respectful and didn't dare harbor any ulterior thoughts.
Unlike the other ordinary spaceport employees, he had extra under-the-table income on top of his wages:
He worked with the Star Pirates active in the unregulated zone between the spaceport and Qiu Long City, providing information on those he considered fat sheep they could target, and taking a share of the proceeds.
It was a job that depended on sizing people up, and he didn't dare play any tricks on Li Jing, who appeared to have a major power behind him.
If anything happened and brought out the elders of Li Jing's family, the things he thought he had hidden wouldn't stand up to an investigation!
Faced with the staff member's nearly fawning enthusiasm, Li Jing gave a noncommittal grunt and casually tossed him a one-Ganwu Coin piece he had previously drawn from the Apprentice Level card pool.
He had over 2,000 Ganwu Coins in cash, in various denominations.
The official exchange rate for one Ganwu Coin was 1,000 Black Dragon Coins, and the black-market rate was even higher.
That meant the cash alone was worth over two million Black Dragon Coins.
It was more than enough to cover the docking fee and the initial cost of registering as a Universe Citizen.
After tossing over the coin, Li Jing said nothing about the change and flew straight off with the Crystal Flow Guards.
His lofty manner only confirmed his identity as the young master of a great family.
Far from feeling offended, the staff member thought that was exactly how someone from a major power should behave.
With the two Crystal Flow Guards accompanying him, Li Jing made the trip from the spaceport to Qiu Long City smoothly, without encountering any Star Pirates.
In the end, Star Pirates were the sort who bullied the weak and feared the strong.
With Li Jing's setup, even a Universe Level powerhouse would have to weigh whether he could be taken down immediately.
Li Jing didn't know about elsewhere, but on Qiu Long Star, at least, a Universe Level powerhouse was already a great figure rarely seen, and would generally never engage in a shady business like Star Pirates.
As for Star Level and Planetary Level Star Pirates, whether they could handle him was one thing, but even if they could, they wouldn't dare make a move.
With a full two Crystal Flow Guards, they would believe him even if he claimed to have a Domain Lord Level elder in his family.
They couldn't get away from him fast enough, so how could they kill him and seize his treasures?
When he stepped into Qiu Long City, the heart Li Jing had held in suspense finally settled.
Qiu Long Star's master was a Domain Lord Level powerhouse, and no one dared violate the rules he had laid down.
"First, register as a citizen, then deal with the treasures!"
Having witnessed the diversity of human species on the streets, Li Jing arrived at the Qiu Long Star government office.
Under the stunned, vacant gaze of the reception staff, he paid the 100 Ganwu Coin fee, had his Planetary Level strength verified, and registered directly as a citizen of Ganwu Universe Country.
So what if it cost more? He might as well get it done in one step!
Besides, the difference in price was negligible to Li Jing.
If he really ran into trouble, citizenship in Ganwu Universe Country would surely be more useful than ordinary citizenship in the Black Dragon Mountain Empire.
After registering as a citizen, Li Jing opened an account at the Black Dragon Mountain Empire Bank for use when he sold his treasures later.
He could have followed Luo Feng's example and had the buyer help him open an account after selling the treasures.
But that would undoubtedly attract unnecessary attention.
A Planetary Level who could sell treasures worth tens of billions of Black Dragon Coins, yet didn't even have a bank account of his own?
One reason Luo Feng hadn't run into trouble was that he had sold only one Arc Blade Disc, then bought a large number of treasures at the Rare Treasure Shop.
The other was that he had been lucky, and had subsequently purchased a large number of slave guards. Otherwise, it was hard to say whether he would have been targeted.
The universe wasn't as wonderful as ordinary Earthlings imagined.
After opening the bank account, he went straight to the Virtual Universe Company's branch on Qiu Long Star to open a personal Virtual Universe account, and paid a hundred years' usage fees in one go.
With all his preparations complete, Li Jing went to a shop on Qiu Long Star and sold several treasures of ordinary value, earning just over 100 million Black Dragon Coins.
With that money, Li Jing met the basic requirement for opening an account at the Universe Galaxy Bank.
He rushed to open an account there and transferred the money over from the Black Dragon Mountain Empire Bank.
With that, the Black Dragon Mountain Empire Bank account had fulfilled its mission and retired in glory, less than a day after it was opened.
The Universe Galaxy Bank was one of humanity's five great powers. With his money deposited there, at least he didn't have to worry about the bank going under one day and leaving him unable to withdraw it.
And as the money in Li Jing's account increased, he would unlock the privileges of higher-star customers.
He could even use the Universe Galaxy Bank's channels to dispose of treasures that were inconvenient to sell.
That was far safer than finding shops to sell them to in person.
With a Universe Galaxy Bank account, Li Jing became bolder in his sales.
In separate batches at different shops, he sold all the treasures he had previously drawn from the Apprentice Level card pool, apart from those he kept for his own use.
The treasures he sold even included the small spaceship from the Miniature Universe that Luo Feng had given him, the Sky-Escaping Shuttle, and the Sky-Escaping Secret Technique obtained from Ancient Civilization Ruins No. 9.
The Sky-Escaping Shuttle was, after all, a metal-attribute telekinetic weapon, and wasn't particularly compatible with Li Jing's fire attribute. He might as well sell it to fund his card draws.
Perhaps he could draw a better, more suitable telekinetic weapon and secret technique from the Planetary Level card pool.
After selling all the treasures, Li Jing had earned a total of 35.2 billion Black Dragon Coins.
The biggest individual contributions were the C1 small spaceship, the Sky-Escaping Shuttle, and the Sky-Escaping Secret Technique.
Those three alone added up to more than 10 billion Black Dragon Coins.
The hundreds or thousands of treasures Li Jing himself had owned were worth only about twice that amount in total.
Of course, that was partly because Li Jing had kept some for his own use.
Otherwise, his C6 spaceship and two Crystal Flow Guards alone wouldn't have been worth much less.
After obtaining this enormous sum of starting capital, Li Jing didn't hesitate. He immediately booked a private suite at a high-end hotel in Qiu Long City's inner city and prepared to draw cards.
