No Way Forward or Back
The increase in the size of an organism cannot be calculated using simple ratios.
The difference between an ant being twice as strong and one hundred times stronger is entirely different; it can even lead to a qualitative change.
For example, the giant ant, a ferocious beast that the Thousand Islands Alliance is currently researching, is incredibly fast, has an exceptionally strong bite, and is incredibly powerful. Its hard armor makes it virtually impervious to bullets and explosions, making it a terrifying creature that can kill anyone it hits.
However, this ferocious giant ant had a weakness: its body was too short, only a little over a meter long. This made it difficult for the ant to escape after being trapped in a shallow water trap.
There are always ways to deal with these types of ground creatures, but once these ferocious beasts have wings, the difficulty of dealing with them increases dramatically.
"Breath it in fire and burn through its wings!"
Tuerlantu felt a chill of fear. He stared into the insectoid creature's bloodshot eyes, feeling as if it were constantly watching him.
This prompted him to call out to his personal guards and numerous paladins.
However, the sharp, piercing sound suddenly emitted by the giant moth shocked everyone's eardrums, and for a moment no one could hear its voice clearly.
Others took submachine guns and opened fire, the bullets creating dents on the giant moths, but they were quickly deflected, with few bullets causing real damage.
"It's a ferocious beast! It's definitely a ferocious beast!"
Tourantu felt a chill run down his spine, and the hairs on his entire body stood on end.
As Sixth Sequence, he was no match for the ferocious beasts; there was an insurmountable gap between this order and the Seventh Sequence.
Leaving aside the offensive capabilities of the Sixth Sequence, this rank is still primarily focused on dodging bullets, while the Seventh Sequence can withstand being hit by bullets.
This applies to humans, and also to strange beasts and ferocious beasts.
Bullets can't penetrate it, and thunderbolts can't kill it; this level is a ferocious beast.
The sudden appearance of ferocious beasts, which had always resided in Qinmeng, in the Thousand Islands Alliance was enough for Tuerlantu to foresee the trouble that would ensue.
Of course, his current situation is the real problem.
There's only one way to escape!
If you encounter a ferocious beast that can fly, it's unreliable to escape by using any means of transportation, such as aircraft, trucks, or cars.
Tourantu looked into the collapsed cave, feeling that the only chance of survival lay within it.
This cave was created by the ferocious beast through its desperate struggle; there's absolutely no way it could have crawled back in.
Escaping in other directions is highly unlikely, with only one in a hundred chance of survival. As long as this ferocious beast pursues him, even someone with the strongest rank in the sequence would probably only be able to escape a thousand meters.
He shouted, and a multitude of thoughts raced through his mind, but the entire process lasted only a few seconds.
As some of the quick-reacting guards fired a second shot, Thurlandu leaped towards the cave from which the giant moth had emerged.
The exterior of the cave has collapsed, but a hole about one meter in diameter remains where the giant moth emerged.
He burrowed into the hole and his body had just landed when he heard the ferocious beast flapping its wings wildly overhead, sending countless particles of dust flying in the whirlwind.
"Oops!"
The intense itching and stinging sensation from the powder residue washed over him, and thinking of his guards who had previously suffered from direct decay caused by the venom, Tourantu couldn't help but feel a sense of dread.
He slipped into the cave and then quickly ran dozens of steps into it. Once he had somersaulted out in the darkness and confirmed that he had temporarily entered a well-concealed area, Thurlandu pulled at his sleeves and vigorously brushed off the powder and dust that had settled on his body.
Human skin is a natural protective layer that shields against damage, but these powder particles were obviously too fine and got into the pores, so Tourantu had to try to minimize the amount of powder on his body.
As he patted and brushed the poison powder off his body, and listened to the screams outside the cave, feeling unbearable pain and itching all over his body, he couldn't help but feel a pang of sorrow.
Only when two strong and quick-witted guards also rushed into the cave entrance to take refuge did Thurland feel slightly relieved.
"Outside..."
But before he could finish his question, the two couldn't resist the itching and started scratching their necks and other parts of their bodies, letting out wild howls like wild beasts. He had no choice but to shut his mouth.
As long as there was a fifty percent chance of winning, Thurlandu would fight with all his might. But when faced with an invincible opponent, Thurlandu obviously could no longer care about his personal guards, and had no intention of risking his life.
As long as you're alive, you can pursue anything; once you're dead, everything is gone. Now, he doesn't think about anything else; his mind is filled with thoughts of how to save his own life.
It must be said that, apart from the experts of the Seventh Sequence, 99% of the Sequence Holder ' first thought when facing ferocious beasts is how to save their lives, rather than thinking about other irrelevant things.
Tourantu had not expected to encounter such a large-scale attack. From the information he had received, he knew that a white alien insect was lurking in the cave.
Unless they are invulnerable to weapons, these insects will die as soon as they emerge from their burrows.
This meant that his personal guard was equipped mostly with light weapons, with none of them falling into the category of heavy weapons.
"My two rocket launchers should still be somewhat effective against it!"
Besides heavy machine guns, the remaining weapons are heavy artillery, rocket launchers, and other heavy industrial firearms. These heavy weapons are either installed in fixed locations or need to be transported by heavy trucks.
Everyone knows that you need to go all out when dealing with others, but in just three short days targeting Turcalando, Turcalando clearly couldn't operate so quickly.
"We don't know what behavioral patterns this ferocious beast has, or if it has any weaknesses. If we don't figure out the situation, we'll have to use human lives to find out!"
There isn't much information about the Thousand Islands Alliance related to the ferocious beasts. Due to the differences in the hierarchy, the Thousand Islands Alliance lacks experts of the Seventh Sequence. They were just lucky to encounter the drowned giant ant, which gave them the opportunity to have close contact with the ferocious beasts.
According to Tuerlantu, the beast was very strong and beyond the reach of ordinary people, but he did not know exactly how strong it was.
He is even considering using heavy weapons to strike.
However, the Thousand Islands Alliance is not as strong as the other three major powers, and the Tour region is only an important area of the Thousand Islands Alliance, not belonging to a country. The local deployment of high-standard heavy weapons is extremely limited, making it undoubtedly difficult to use heavy weapons against the enemy.
"If we had known that the cave contained a ferocious beast, we wouldn't have targeted Tulcarando. Without her participation as an alliance councilor in the communication, the timeliness would definitely be compromised. Even if we forcefully put a chieftain in office, we would still have to go through the procedures. Damn it, if it weren't for her suddenly turning against our Lineage..."
Tourland was filled with anxiety and uncertainty.
He shook his buzzing head vigorously, feeling as if his head was full of water, and he could even hear the sound of water.
But a moment later, Tourantu realized that he hadn't just been wading in water; rather, a flood was actually gushing out of the cave.
Like a roar from the abyss, or like a long-suppressed torrent of mud, rocks and construction debris, roaring and surging forward in the cave.
As he shakily picked up the makeshift emergency light and shone it inside, he could still see several disheveled figures desperately fleeing.
