The Sacred Temple
The two monks who attacked Zhang Xuezhou were named Batuoluo and Ingadra, both of whom were at the Fifth Realm of cultivation.
The Fifth Realm of cultivation in the West corresponds to the Consciousness Creation Realm, which is two major realms away from the Divine Ability Realm.
Zhang Xuezhou was caught off guard by the sneak attack, but he managed to subdue the two monks with little effort.
Having dodged the Law Treasure the two men unleashed, Zhang Xuezhou simply used intimidation and suppression, and the two men were already down and about. They were then interrogated by Zhang Xuezhou.
"If you can't communicate with me, then I'll have no choice but to send you to your maker!"
In the Great Han Dynasty, ascension to heaven signified death. Upon arriving in the Western Regions, Zhang Xuezhou adapted the situation by instilling death threats in the two men.
"What do we ascetic monks have to fear from death!"
"The leader will guide us through Reincarnation. Damn red-robed man, you won't have an easy time in the Greater Yuezhi Kingdom!"
Batuoluo and Ingadra had a somewhat defiant air about them, and while their strength was average, they were incredibly stubborn.
Only when Zhang Xuezhou threatened them with death did the two men switch from speaking gibberish to a broken Greater Yuezhi language.
The Greater Yuezhi language was similar to the Xiong State Xiong State, which itself originated from the Sacred Land Language. Zhang Xuezhou could barely understand half of it.
Zhang Xuezhou wasn't too worried about encountering any powerful experts in the Greater Yuezhi Kingdom. He could avoid them even if he couldn't defeat them. As long as he flew far away during the day and rested at night, he could probably traverse the Greater Yuezhi Kingdom in about three or four days.
However, it was difficult for him to find the landmarks of the Greater Yuezhi Kingdom that Cai Ma mentioned.
The lack of landmarks caused significant problems. For example, the directions represented by Zhang Xuezhou's journey across the Northern Border and Huainan regions of the Great Han Kingdom were completely different. Although they were both passing through the same country, losing his way would inevitably lead him astray, causing him to drift further and further away from his destination, and he might even have to turn back.
"As long as you can talk to me, that's enough," Zhang Xuezhou said, picking up Batuoluo's staff. "You ascetics aren't afraid of death, but if you can live, you shouldn't be thinking about dying!"
"Red Robe, what do you want?"
After being struck by Zhang Xuezhou's stick, and having clearly understood that Zhang Xuezhou did not intend to kill, Batuoluo had no choice but to raise his head and ask.
"I want to ask where the scab mamba is?"
Cai Ma's foreign language skills are also mediocre, and many landmarks are transliterated, which makes the characters and pronunciations look very strange, and it is even impossible to guess what the specific landmarks are.
"What do you want with our holy temple?" Batuoluo asked warily.
"Red-robed ones, kill us! We will not reveal the location of the holy temple, nor will we give you the chance to curse or poison us!" Ingatha cried out.
"It turned out to be a temple!"
Zhang Xuezhou thought about the landmarks of the Greater Yuezhi Kingdom and felt that Cai Ma's landmarks were too small.
Normal maps typically use mountains, rivers, and other landmarks, but Cai Ma's landmarks are mostly located in bustling, densely populated areas.
These landmarks are small and hard to find, just like the temple where Zhang Xuezhou had previously encountered the Buddha Son Shigong. Even if he had been there once, it would be almost impossible to find it again.
Cai Ma was not sensitive to national borders; he only knew that he had traveled for a long time and arrived in a certain country, and then traveled for a long time and arrived in another country.
This resulted in Cai Ma's map occasionally having a circle drawn to represent a country, with a landmark that left a deep impression marked inside the circle.
These circles vary in size and are planned entirely based on the number of landmarks remembered.
The Xiong State has a vast territory but a sparse population, and its nomadic tribes migrate frequently, so Cai Ma has virtually no landmarks in the Xiong State.
Of course, Zhang Xuezhou hadn't found the two landmarks Cai Ma had drawn in the past few days.
Based on his past experience, he traversed the Xiong State directly until he entered the Greater Yuezhi Kingdom, which had five landmarks. Zhang Xuezhou couldn't help but ask a few more questions.
Zhang Xuezhou was extremely satisfied with Batuoluo and Ingadra's responses.
This means that he has not lost his way, and in some ways even overlaps with the path that Cai Ma once took.
"Your temple must have many experts. If I go to spy on them and get caught and killed, wouldn't that be perfect?" Zhang Xuezhou said.
"That seems to make sense?" Ingatha, who had strongly objected, remarked.
"Doroha... Your divine Divine Ability are vast; you will surely be able to slay this fiend!"
Batuoluo wanted to discuss a few more words with Ingadia in his native language, but after Zhang Xuezhou hit him with a stick again, he switched his native language to his half-baked Greater Yuezhi language, which Zhang Xuezhou could only partially understand.
"That's right. Quickly tell me where Scab Mamba is, so I can go there and get killed by your Buddhist disciples. Tell me, which sect are you from, and who are your Buddhist disciples?"
"We, the Divine Ability Buddha Vishnu, are all-powerful and will surely ensure your departure!" Batuoluo shouted.
"There are so many Buddhists here!"
Zhang Xuezhou listened to the name Batuoluo recite, but he had no recollection of it at all.
He knew about Buddhas such Rulai, Wu Chao, Brahma, Shi Gong, but Zhang Xuezhou had never heard of Vesinu.
This made Zhang Xuezhou feel that the sectarianism in the Western territories was chaotic, just as emperors of various countries had many princes, and the title of "Buddhist disciple" had become commonplace.
"Where is Scabbed Mamba? Tell me Chu Lands and I'll let you go," Zhang Xuezhou said.
"Our holy temple is in Nuna, and it takes five to six hundred miles to travel along this route," said Ingatha.
Where is the tuotuo rice?
"I've never heard of this place!"
"Where is Aimunba?"
"You should be referring to Amenba. Amenba is south of Nuna City; it's our sacred temple. You need to travel 800 li south to reach it for worship!"
Another temple?
Zhang Xuezhou asked Cai Ma about all five landmarks in the Greater Yuezhi Kingdom. Indra answered three, but said he didn't know the other two because of a problem with the transliteration.
Looking at the somewhat confusing directions, Zhang Xuezhou knew very well that Cai Ma had taken many detours and even gone in circles.
"If only the Demon King Feiyu could take me flying once during the day!"
At this moment, Zhang Xuezhou couldn't help but miss the Demon King Feiyu who had once carried him from the Kunlun Sacred Land to Bashu.
Those skilled in flying and leaping always fly in straight lines; they wouldn't travel in such a winding and circuitous manner.
However, by following Cai Ma's landmarks and flying over them once, Zhang Xuezhou would be able to clearly see the wrong path he had taken and thus organize it into his own route. If he were to fly over them again to Western Kunlun, he would not be delayed much on the way.
Thank you both!
Zhang Xuezhou thanked him politely.
Before Inga and Batuoluo could react, Zhang Xuezhou struck them repeatedly on the neck.
"You damned red robe!"
"You promised to let me go... we... you broke your promise!"
An ordinary person could be knocked unconscious with just one blow, but Zhang Xuezhou never expected that these two scruffy monks would be so intimidated and suppressed by him that they could not move and had to endure more than ten blows before they lost consciousness.
"Cut!"
He grabbed a stick and threw it far away, then tossed the golden gong far as well.
"Your horse carried me so far, that's half the revenge I've given you!"
Zhang Xuezhou's act of knocking out the two monks had no other purpose than to cover up his own problems and attempt to adopt the characteristics of the Greater Yuezhi monks.
The red robe of the monk from the Yedie River Holy Land on his body quickly faded, gradually turning pale yellow, similar to the robes worn by the two men. His originally tense face also gradually softened and returned to its original appearance.
But it's impossible for Zhang Xuezhou to shave his head or make himself look like he has a mess of hair.
He looked at Ingadia and Batuoluo for a while, then finally gave up on transforming himself into a monk and instead began counting the miles.
After calculating for a few seconds, Zhang Xuezhou leaped upwards, golden demonic feathers appearing on his arms, transforming into a golden light that shot far away in the direction the two men were pointing.
