Keeping a Clear Head in an Emergency
The long night passed, and the sun shone brightly on the earth.
Ren Anran looked at the billowing black smoke in the distance, then at Zhang Xuezhou lying in the center of the thorns.
Having already experienced the risk of his Yang Soul escaping and shifting from his body, Zhang Xuezhou's body was not rashly moved to another location. Instead, he remained lying in the thorny area, only now the person beneath him, Zhu Youpeng, had been replaced with a mattress.
"Miss Ren, is your Tur God ineffective?"
Very few people could cross the thorny thicket that stretched for more than ten miles to enter this place. Even Ren Anran had to find the route that Zhu Youpeng and others had taken before, and then use the technique of flying through the clouds to arrive safely.
Chimmanhag, on the other hand, wore heavy leather boots and trudged through the thorns.
He looked at Zhang Xuezhou, who was lying motionless on the ground, and then at the large pit three miles away, and felt that only the god Tu'er could salvage the current situation.
"God Tu'er..."
Ren Anran was about to refuse Qimeng Haig, but upon hearing the name of Tuer, she quickly picked up her communicator as well.
"Manqian, yes, yes, could you come over right now?"
Ren Anran was at a loss as to how to deal with Zhang Xuezhou's situation, and Tuer Shen was not omnipotent either, but the 'wilderness' that survived on Zhang Manqian was quite knowledgeable, and if it could make some judgments, it might be able to provide irreplaceable help.
"Has it gotten to the point where we have to call our families?"
Ren Anran ignored Chimon Haig, and Chimon Haig didn't care either. After all, no woman's boyfriend was unconscious, and she wasn't really in the mood to respond to his advances.
But Chimonhaig's heart sank, and he became increasingly certain that Zhang Xuezhou and the others' claim of the God of Tuer was a ruse.
When Chimmon Hagrid was in the Seventh Sequence, he thought that he would be fulfilled if he could enter the Eighth Sequence in this lifetime. However, after entering the Eighth Sequence, he had a new idea: to explore the Ninth Sequence.
For Chimmon Hagrid, drawing inspiration from Zhang Xuezhou and others' Thur God's Grace was his way of completing his control over the Eighth Sequence.
Seeing Zhang Xuezhou's defeat, he was indeed quite troubled, otherwise he wouldn't have come here alone after the meeting.
"The airdropped aircraft has arrived to transfer those people in the pit. Should we send Little Zhang out first for a proper medical check-up?"
Chimon Haig and Ren Anran had nothing to say, and after a brief exchange, they fell silent.
The atmosphere was somewhat somber until a low rumble came from above, at which point Chimon Haig quickly tried to persuade Ren Anran.
"He's right here," Ren Anran emphasized. "If we're going to examine Xuezhou, we'll set up the medical equipment nearby, not move his body!"
"Well, then setting up a temporary hospital right here will do!"
Chimon Haig pursed his lips and casually said something. The irritable Ren Anran was so impressed by his suggestion that she quickly went to communicate with Ren Yisheng.
While a normal person needs to be taken to the hospital when injured, it's not unreasonable for committee members to set up a temporary hospital on the spot when needed.
If a thorny area can be cleared, backup batteries and medical equipment can be delivered through various methods.
For the Ren Household and Wang Household families, who control medical resources, reaching such an agreement doesn't even require negotiation.
The only problem is whether we can figure out Zhang Xuezhou's situation and whether we can use this to uncover Huang Daoxian and thus get rid of the situation Zhang Xuezhou is facing.
Ren Anran didn't need to think much; she knew perfectly well that Zhang Xuezhou had inevitably clashed with Huang Daoxian.
However, Ren Anran was currently unsure whether Zhang Xuezhou had been discovered by Huang Daoxian during his Yangpo's patrol, thus falling into a high-risk situation, or whether he had fallen into a coma due to some other reason.
"Medical treatment can determine whether Xuezhou's physical condition is normal, but 'Wilderness' might be able to determine Xuezhou's three souls and seven spirits!"
Ren Anran murmured to herself.
Having plotted against Huang Daoxian for years, Ren Anran was genuinely alarmed when she suddenly saw Zhang Xuezhou collapse to the ground, as if something within her had crumbled.
However, Ren Anran was not in a state of panic and making hasty decisions; she remained rational and possessed a certain degree of judgment.
Chimon Haig's voice was very noisy, but the other party's advice was effective, and Ren Anran listened to it.
Is there anything else you'd like to say?
She tried to compose herself and then calmly asked Chimmon Hagrid.
"I can't remember!"
Chimman Haig scratched his head.
If there were any feasible suggestions, everyone would have already raised them during the meeting at the security center.
Because none of them had encountered a precedent, they felt helpless and dared not speak up.
Chimmon Hagrid mumbled a few words, but he couldn't utter a single coherent sentence.
After being stared at by Ren Anran for a few seconds, he felt extremely uncomfortable and turned to walk over to the pit to check the situation, wearing heavy leather shoes.
"If it didn't involve him, Xuezhou definitely wouldn't have been so busy with Huang Daoxian's affairs. He always prefers others to take the lead. Dad isn't the chairman right now, and even if he has a good relationship with Li Yingbo, he wouldn't step forward like this. In other words, Xuezhou is certain that Huang Daoxian will affect him. And Xuezhou started targeting Huang Daoxian several years ago, so he must have something in common with Huang Daoxian... If he knew the situation beforehand, Xuezhou couldn't have been without a backup plan!"
After Chimon Haig left, Ren Anran muttered to herself, continuously reviewing the situation.
Whether it's 'famine' or medical care, these are all based on a slim chance; true hope must be grasped by oneself.
Ren Anran and Zhang Xuezhou were already very close, but she didn't know much about this matter.
"The Grave Sutra, and that Grave Sutra too!"
She pondered for a while, then suddenly remembered Zhang Xuezhou's busy day with the grave sutras, and also the few inviters she had almost forgotten.
These invitees included ordinary people, sequencers, and Sequence Holder, with varying levels of ability, and none of them were top-tier members of the Alliance States. Yet, Zhang Xuezhou spent almost a whole day on these individuals.
"Song Sijia, what are you doing right now?"
After calming down, Ren Anran quickly dialed the third contact.
"Sister Ren, I'm tutoring a few idiots. Their comprehension is so poor. I've been teaching them all night and none of them have gotten it right. They're either missing this or that, and now they're starving, eating breakfast right now!"
Song Sijia's hoarse voice came through the communicator. Perhaps because she had failed to accomplish her task, Song Sijia didn't reveal what she was doing until her very last sentence.
"Eat quickly, then airdrop yourself here using your own aircraft. I need to know everything that Xuezhou and you communicated last night!"
Ren Anran originally wanted to invite Song Sijia and the others over to see if they could make any discoveries, but she quickly realized that Song Sijia was teaching the others.
It's impossible for Song Sijia to teach others to recite the "Grave Classic," and the strength of the many invited people lies in their memory; they can repeat the "Grave Classic" after reading it once. The content that Song Sijia teaches must be something else, which is beyond Ren Anran's expectations.
Clearly, these people must have communicated with Zhang Xuezhou last night, and most likely adjusted their course of action.
Perhaps there is something in these people that could be advantageous to Zhang Xuezhou.
